Probably my sw/sh tympole hunt. Wanted to do the brilliant battled method, but that took forever. Gave up and tried masuda, but even that went over odds. One of my favorite shinies tho, it was worth it
@@Hubbykun oh my gosh! Never fails! I failed a shiny pikachu in Ultra Sun after being like 1/2 odds. Everyone told me I would reclaim it quickly… It took an additional 8500 to reclaim it 😅
I've had a lot of really long hunts. I did a total of 100,004 hoard's for a shiny Larvitar in Pokemon y. Just single hunting. I found 41 geodudes and 35 Durant. I also went 27k for a Cubone when sun and moon came out. That was just doing REs, single hunt. Ended up phasing, got it phase 2 though after 500ish REs. I also did over 30k for a Natu in HG single hunting.
Congrats on the shiny Seal! I’m still very new to shiny hunting, but currently I’m a couple hundred over odds on a Hoothoot on gold and at 4100 for Celebi on crystal. I did get lucky while going to catch a smeargle I stumbled into a shiny Wooper so that was rad.
My highest number hunt was 42k seen for a HGSS starter, or 14k soft resets. I'm currently on 36.5k for zapdos in frlg, so whenever that decides to shine it'll be my longest hunt in 3rd gen
I am fairly new to shiny hunting and so far my longest hunt was Darkrai in SP. I got it after 6,036 SRs. Probably a rookie number for long time hunters but that's my longest so far in the short amount of time being a shiny hunter lol
are there actual dates for safari week or is it just whenever you want for a week? i tried looking it up so i could participate and i cant seem to find an answer
Absolblogs decides when they happen. They take place in June but he decides the actual week. He posts what dates they’ll be on his Twitter and on his UA-cam channel
Congrats! I still can’t imagine shiny hunting on the older games at full-odds. I start getting upset in SV if the shiny I’m looking for doesn’t show up within two sandwiches! lol I don’t know how many encounters it took since I don’t really keep track, but a few weeks ago in Ultra Moon, I SOS hunted Hoothoot and it took a whole 12 hours before a shiny Noctowl appeared. In that same time, I had managed to hatch a shiny Tynamo AND a shiny white flower Flabébé in Scarlet somehow!
Nice! For full odds older games, I do use 4 games but it really is only bad when I go this far over odds but that is the same for like any odds hunts. It really only takes me a few hours to hit odds in these games so it’s really satisfying finding shinies for me!
@@ThedomiNATION Yeah, I noticed! I’m jealous. I only have 1 GB and none of the GB era games. Sometimes I’m tempted to look them up, but I’m bad at online shopping and figuring out deals vs ripoffs. So I’ve just resorted to look for shinies on my 3DS and Switch at the same time. I’m currently hunting a second Sandshrew in Alpha Sapphire via hoard battles while trying to hatch my last shiny Chespin and Fennekin in Scarlet. I really don’t care about which games they come from as long as their mine lol. Hope you continue to have good luck on your ongoing quest!

My longest ever is still Game Corner Clefairy. I’m 56k with them. They told me it would be a nice beginner hunt. I’ll get back to it eventually. Haha

My shiny mewtwo in heartgold it took 6 months I got it but in my school’s library so yeah scared a lot of people with me screaming SHINY MEWTWO!!! 😅

Congrats on the wooper! Good luck with you current hunts! It’s always crazy starting full odds but full odds is best odds imo!
