Hey, mike if you finish this 240(wich you probably will) i would love you to use the same stitching on the doors/panels and etc. The flowerry ones. I adore the desingn
Spot welds are a lot of fun! There’s a tool called a nail set that will keep the drill bit from moving, I find it really helpful and it might be easier than drilling pilot holes in every spot weld. Also, if you only drill through one layer it’ll be much easier to weld back together. I really enjoy the content and can’t wait to see this thing back together!
i found that just grinding down the scrap side and hammering it off is much faster and easier than drilling out each weld, also try to keep the back side of the spot weld in tact it makes re assembly much easier
Dude I’m happy for the traction you are gaining! I’m sorry it happened under the circumstances, but it’s awesome how you are showing the whole process and not giving up!
I discoverd you after your crash and since then I watched all your videos. You are really inspiring : even when situation gets mad you keep smiling and determinated 💪 You show that dreams come true when you trust in it. Keep going on Mike, we're all behind you ! (sry for my bad english)
I honestly think this is more entertaining than any other car build, as here, well, it's not every day you see such good editing with such a comlex job. Keep on *grinding* , man !
Living in the suburbs of Illinois its funny because I could tell by the weather around what time you filmed this. the only time the weather was that nice was around last week Monday.
For the spot weld cutter i found if you drill slow it eats away alot faster and use abit of wd40 to lube it so you don't smash it to bits. If you can only drill through the first layer so its easier to plug weld up later, loving the content man good shit!
Yo just a fyi a mini Pneumatic belt sander works amazing for spot welds. Just did a slick-top conversion on a s13 the belt sander sped it up dramatically.
You don't need to drilll your pilot hole all the way through, just a lil will work perfect or alternatively just use a spring loaded center punch to make a divit and use that for the spot weld bit .Also dip the spot will cutter in oil as your drilling, the bits will last so much longer. Great video brotha!
Man, if i wasn't so far and i had the age, i would definetly build my dream car with u, because u seem to have a really good knowledge about s13, It males me Happy to see that u are not giving Up! Keep It Up tho!
you're giving me inspiration to hurry up and get my s13 back on the road, I have much less work to do than you though lmao can't wait to see this thing complete again
I was there with you last year man. Had to drill out the spot welds for a quarter panel to replace on my s2k. It’s a hell of a arm workout and takes forever. Good luck on the restoration, ganna be fallowing you every step
Really love the videos, and how motivated you are man! Just a thought, but most hardware stores have a tool called an automatic center punch. Basically a spring loaded punch to make an indent with just the one tool. Could save you some time drilling pilot holes, and having to change bits. Keep up the hard work!
Love this channel, a love for their car, even if its really fooked, no high budget or production value, but thats what makes it good, like haggard garage back when they were good.
You can just get a drill bit as big as the spot weld and drill them out. Cus that's the part that's going out. On the new piece going in weld the holes before you put the piece on ur chassis.
Congrats on your sponsorship! Heck ya! Trying to get advance to work with me myself haha. Quick question. Know anywhere to get a front splitter. Like mom n pop shop aero work?
I was following you since you crashed 240sx,and im so glad, that you are going more into fixing it,i hope everything will be fine ! By the way, what's name of melody playing in background ? (2:48)
Hey Mike, respect for the work you do for yourself and everything out of love for this car! I subscribe to you and like to follow it from Germany, stay tuned, it's fun to see your progress :)
Put a bag over your slip yoke, I once removed a driveshaft that a friend installed for me and the splines were full of floor dry. LOL that payback job cost me more than the $50 he owed me, since he crushed the auto trans pump as well.
The one piece spot weld drill bits by wurth are fucking minty. Just buy a couple because they're tricky to resharpen. I'm not a fan of those sprung ones.

This Passenger side delete will save alot of weight, good idea
😅
can’t wait
Looking forward to a start to finish “rebuilding wrecked 240sx in 10 minutes” in the future.
Duuude I cant wait lol
You should sell the spot weld cutouts
Jump from the spot weld bit that keeps Breaking teeth to a belt sander. Seems expensive at first but saves so much time and money… trust me.
I've never seen it not snowing in these videos. wild
😅 its snowing again already lol
