Already Over Sessions - Sydney, Sept. 6, 2023
In making "Already Over," I wrote and played all the instruments myself. But to play it live, I loved the idea of playing with a range of talented musicians who were all “locals.” While I was in Sydney, I managed to put together a session with a group of talented Aussies.
This is the first and only time we all played together.

I am SHOOK by how amazingly Bonnie covered Chester’s part here. She really captured the essence of the original track, so much so that instead of comparing I just sat back and enjoyed. Bravo! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

This is the first vocalist I've heard who I genuinely think could 1000% fill Chester's shoes and could easily stand on par with him in terms of being one of the greatest vocalists of all time. THIS is the person they need to truly front the band.

The drummer is from an Australia band called Polaris. They have released full length albums and are getting bigger in the US with metal fans. They are one of my top 3 bands of all time and cant suggest them enough. Lyrically they are a lot like LP but heavier.
Yeah is not an easy task to cover those Vocals but she did it pretty well
I liked her, but I didn't LOVE her vocals. Guess it just didn't feel the same as Chester's screaming.

I've been following Bonnie's band, Stand Atlantic since 2017, and I'm so happy to see the amount of praise she gets here in the comments. She's awesome, and her band deserves more recognition ❤

Many tried singing Bleed It Out, many failed... Meanwhile, an Aussie woman totally nailed it! And Mike sounds the best he's ever sounded on the vocals.
Well, I mean… yeah? She’s female, she can hit higher notes. The fact it takes a female vocalist to hit Chester’s notes, speaks volumes as to how amazing he was.

When i heard her it hit me hard and took me out of the song. She did okay but man not hearing chester was like ohhhh yea.. she doesnt have that grit feeling in the song.

I am shaken how amazing Bonnie was in matching Chester's verses. It's probably one of the closest vocal inspirations that I have heard, maybe ever. Mike didn't skip a beat and it felt like the classic LP, but I am still so impressed with Bonnie. There are a few key moments where Bonnies voice sounds so much like Chester's especially if you have heard his live performances and his voice is already a little strained and tired. There are just some parts that gave me goosebumps. Thanks so much for this Mike and the rest of the team. This felt so good.

I’ve said this from the beginning… Linkin Park 2.0 should have a female vocalist. This will allow for a fresh new sound that will be impossible to compare to Chester.

I mean, "Believe Me", "No Roads Left", "Hands Held High", "The Little Things Give You Away", etc etc
@@marcgw496 He did actually do backing vocals on all three of those albums. If you listen close, you can hear him in the background of basically every chorus on all of those albums. Actually, the harmonization between Mike and Chester is what really made their choruses stand out so much. Also, he has done lead on some demos as far as back as the Pre-Hybrid Theory days. So Far Away from the 20th Anniversary Edition of Hybrid Theory dates back to 1998 and Mike's singing is insane on it. So yeah, his singing may not have really escalated until Living Things, but it has definitely always been there. The first time I went back and listened to Hybrid Theory after hearing Mike's singing voice on No Roads Left for the first time, it blew me away just how much his singing is audible on those earlier albums. Much of what I had thought was Chester's voice all this time was actually Mike.

I cannot emphasize this enough, if you enjoyed this CHECK OUT THEIR BANDS!! Stand Atlantic (Bonnie) and Between You and Me (James) make some incredible pop punk, and Polaris (Daniel) just released the best metalcore album of the year last month. I've been lucky enough to see two of them live and the next time stat comes to the PNW I will be there in the pit as well. Seeing them together in this session was unreal. Keep it going Mike, you're still killing it decades later.

Yup, all fantastic stuff. Polaris's new album might be AOTY, Stand Atlantic always make good shit, and BYAM is one of my most underrated artists, seeing them live with Knuckle Puck and Real Friends was such a great show.

I still think Obsidian is the best Metalcore record of the last year, but there’s no doubt Polaris released what we will be one of my favorite Metalcore albums for sure! Those guys are all so talented, and for this session everyone killed it! 🙌🏼

That's Bonnie from Stand Atlantic, imo one of the most underrated bands out there. If you love the energy here, you'll like their energy, too. sweaties show i've ever been to, and i've been to a few hundreds at this point.

I don't know how i just discovered this. I found Stand Atlantic a handful of years ago and I've been a huge fan of Linkin Park / Mike Sinoda since Hybrid Theory in 2000 ( I was 13 years old ) I got legit goosebumps when they played bleed it out. Bonnie killed it on Chester's parts.
I didn't expect hear Bleed It Out, im in the Street right now and i start to cry, and Already Over is Freaking Awesome, I Love this song ❤
