I love that color! I always thought that was the best looking CL Mercedes ever made.
What most people dont understand is how fast a stock E55 is, specially if all you driven your life are sub 200hp cars. Also these youtbers telling you that 5speed is slow. Dude its spot on. I remember my first time in an E55, as soon as you kick down the pull is insane, the shift from 2nd to 3rd DUDE THAT STICKS YOU TO THE SEATS

I just bought a 2004 clk55 for 5.5 only thing it needs is a mass flow and tires but still drives and absolutely rips. Supper optimistic about the purchase due to how cheap the parts are and how friendly the engine bay is. Love your build and look forward to building my pup up. Thank you!

@@johnknoneborg it’s been a blast! Getting into transmission service time but she’s still ripping and pulling. Cls is a sleeper regardless of what age you get so I’m sure you’ll have tons of fun! I’ll be going for the cls55 myself but that 6.2 is insane!

My grandfather had a ‘02 CL65 AMG… we traded it for the s500 I have now back in ‘03 because the dealership gave more than we bought the CL for… it was a beast tho but we returned it for a good deal and got the 4 door s500 because of family and stuff

Previous owner went mad scientist on my e55 exhaust he went back over and over to the shop to get it sounding right, just like this one best I can describe it is like a fire-breathing dragon

Alex, over at Legit Street Cars channel just modded his tranny & the shifts were much better. I want to say the kit he used was in the ballpark of $1600. He says in the video it speeds up the shifts quite a bit but not to the level of a dual clutch. Still, every bit of extra speed is good!

I really like how the early 2000 Mercedes all had their own distinct look. the newer they get the more they all look similar. seems like all the manufactures kinda do the same thing these days.

Got one of these amongst other cars, slightly rarer Almandine Black but all good. The car is a big bitch heavy duty not gonna break down. Brakes are pretty shit but £2500 in the UK with a few problems. Not going to cry about it

Stock internals handle those numbers no problem?

@@SamCarLegion ok uhhhhh.... So what internals are aftermarket? Makes a HUGE difference to someone thinking they can just go buy a similar setup and have it bolted on and tuned / run enough boost to get equal numbers
@@lewokejames No internals are aftermarket. The stock M113K engine has an aluminium block and heads, forged crankshaft and conrods, cast SOHC camshafts, no VVT and is capable of handling 18psi boost. Good enough for CLK DTM and McLaren SLR. So yeah, anyone with a 55K can buy a similar setup and expect equal numbers. Mine produces nearly 700hp with stock supercharger. Always best to do your research first before jumping to conclusions.

Its not Airsuspension. ABC is hydraulic. Always flush the CHF11S Pentosin and change the 3 micron filter from ABC reservoir. Also Flush and change Filter from steering nmreservoir next to it. It has to be always crystal green!
This is something that is overlooked by car owners and shops because of lack of knowledge of the system. Should change the fluid and filters every 10k.miles.

No reason to modify anything. 700+ HP is said to be safe for the M113K.

😆😆😆at all the vette owners whining in the comments. Unless you have a zr1 or a c5/c6/c7 with mods, please take a seat. This 55 will indeed eat you for a snack that it forgets about 5 seconds later. I'd wager it could beat any stock-basic bolt on c5-c6 at 50-70% throttle

bigger engine, bigger body. Gears, yes they arent the fastest.
it has so much torque, you dont really have to care about the gearing.
So where’s the part of it owning a corvette lol I have almost the same mods on my cls55 amg and my Vette walks it by bus lengths when my buddy drives my Benz and I drive my Vette I doubt this thing kills vettes maybe a C5z or bade model

Wow with 624whp this Amg is right up there with the newest supercars! It'll smoke everything out there except, the Dodge Demon and the Corvette zr1 maybe🤔 You don't have this same setup because it'll smoke your vette unless it's the new zr1😁
@@vangfamily4286 a C6 z06 would easily walk a stock 55 AMG. A modded one is slightly different but the z06 is already a full second quicker in the 0-60 sprint for all cars using the M113k.

Show us your vette "walking" your cls55? Then we'll believe you. Until then, you're trolling and it's obvious. This a 600++hp cls55 it will "bus length" most cars on the road.
