I have no problem with Skull Cavern being combat. I have a problem that you have to restart it each time. I don’t care if it’s cheating. I love that elevator
@utubby3730 to be fair the skull cavern is way more cheaty if you know how to skull raid effectively. Depending on your setup you could get around 500 iridum ores on a single skull cavern run from floor 0. That would make for 150000 gold with the right profession, all of that in a single day. Of course to acomplish that you need a tooon of ladders, max daily luck, good food buffs, alot explosive ammos and bombs, but thats what makes the skull cavern balanced. Being abled to travel down to floor 200 on 6:30am in skull cavern on the other hand makes achieving that goal possible without any preparations whatsoever. Moreover the elevator effect is cumulative, so even if you get a small amount of iridium ores the first time, youll be abled to go further and further down instantly, getting floors filled with iridium from the get go. Getting 150.000 a day becomes almost effortless and it becomes possible to get way more than that quite easily. Infinite inventory is quite cheaty in itself too, but it wouldnt allow you to get so much money and resources easily
Another note for the skull cavern elevator mod you can change in the config how often there are elevators. I think default it is 5. However I find it a lot more balanced at 50, because then it feels like more of an achievement that you reached another 50 floors and were able to save your progress.
I'd like it if it stored an elevator spot to 1/10th of your lowest floor. So if you want to start at floor 20, you'd need to have hit floor 200 at some point.
@@dddmemaybeyou can configure that actually! I remember having it set so that for every 25 floors of elevator i needed to get 100, so for 50 it'd be 200 and so on
Just so that everyone knows there is an updated UI info suite called UI info suite 2. It is NOT on nexus mods. However I highly recommend it since it is still being updated and includes ginger island stuff.
@@Solstice_539 It definitely is also shown in UI Info Suite 2! I don't have the CJB Show Item Sell Price mod, and I still see this info. So if you have UI Info Suite 2, the other mod is redundant.
Automate is the reason I put an additional ~500 hours in this game. Also, the machines, like crab pots, act like their own connectors. So you don't even need to put paths around your ponds, for example.
Its my absolute favotite mod... also the machines you can make using junimo chests are on another level. If u have enough u can process and colect from every machine in the entire map in one place
Can confirm that Automate is one of the most addictive mods. The trade-off is how many chests you'll have to craft and the fact that you'll have to be careful what you link. Putting a chest, worm bin, recyclers and crab pots near each other is self explanatory, but you'll want furnaces connected to those too. But, any chest that linked to this line can't have quartz or fire quartz stored in it (unless you want it refined). And if you happen to put a charcoal kiln anywhere thats linked to your main storage chest with all your wood in it... Well, bad news pal. It is however an amazing mod, which allows you to worry a lot less about doing tasks every single day. Your cave mushrooms can be automatically harvested, with an auto-grabber your barns and coops can auto convert into mayo/cheese/wool, and your entire cellar can be filled with casks, and a single chest placed to hold all items going in or coming out. You can have a chest in a shed filled with preserving jars or kegs, a line of bee hives along the side of your crops. And probably a ton of other stuff I haven't mentioned!! Imo it's a really great mod. Just make sure nothing you place is in the way of villagers, or, get the non Destructive Npcs mod lol.
I hope there's a mod where you can be the mayor of the pelican town imagine being mayor and choosing a path where yyou can be corrupt or maybe a good mayor
For the automate mod: Any machine can be its own connector, I believe if you hold the "U" key, it'll show you what "paths" are set up, and you can actually see that just by putting a bunch of furnaces next to each other (for example) they'll all fill/empty through a connected chest.
As someone who uses the Skull Cavern Elevator mod, iridium bars have become my main source of income. I haven’t tried but if you go to floor 100 you could get something in the chest and it should rest every day.
UI Info Suite also shows you what crop is planted and how long till it's ready. Same for machines being ready. Another mod I like is Convenient Inventory. I can walk up to my work bench setup, hit a button, and anything in my inventory that's already in one of those chests will automatically be stacked in them. You can lock items in place so they don't stack or get rearranged when you arrange your inventory, so your tools stay where you put them.
TimeSpeed is one of my must have mods specially if I am playing with a lot of expansion mods, I customize it to make time slower to compensate on having a significantly larger map.
@@jzubs this. I play Stardew to relax, I don't like stressing out about not being able to finish what I wanted in time. TimeSpeed is certainly an OP mod, but it lets me enjoy the game more and stress about some things a lot less, definitely one I recommend
I absolutely CANNOT do without Automate any more! I hook up the autograbber in each barn with a chest and some processing machines, and all I have to do is collect the mayo and cheese. I add a worm-bin to the chest and crab pot setup. I set up a shed with kegs and a chest, dump the crop into the chest and collect the wine/juice without having to load and collect each keg manually. I set up my fish ponds so that all of the roe gets collected and processed. Also, makes collecting honey a lot less risky--I don't have to worry about accidentally picking the flower. Automate is SUCH a time-saver, and makes the game a lot less grindy (is that a word?)
lookup anything mod is probably my favourite tbh If you select an NPC it will show all loved, liked, and disliked gifts as well as highlight and bring to the top of the list any of the items you currently own and highlight in green whatever you have in your inventory (and show their birthdays too of course) If you select your player character it will show you where you are at with all of your levels as well as the exact luck value for the day (very lucky can be something between a +4.1% and +9.9% for example, so you especially don't want to squander those high value days) It's basically like having the stardew valley wiki open to the exact page you need at a click of a button
In the past I looked up how to add mods to games on PC and at first glance it seemed like a hassle. What with downloading, opening of files, making sure certain folders are here and there. But honestly, thanks to creators like yourself, it's the most simple and fun thing to do with my games now!
love sebastian and been married to him for 2 years!! totally unnecessary but i still give him frozen tears everyday through a crystalarium. been wanting more content out of the marriage so i downloaded mal's expansion marriage events and date night!!! would love to see more mods that add to the relationship/marriage part of the game 💖
I haven't modded the game a lot. I like the vanilla game. But I do really like the to-dew-list that I installed. It just gives you an in-game to do list, which really helps me remember my tasks and not run around aimlessly. You can set it to show things on specific days, so it might even be worth it to plan out your entire challenge run on day one and just do whatever the to-dew-list tells you to on that day :)
UI Info Suite also gives you access to the calendar/help wanted board from the main menu (where you see your inventory and farm income information, etc, just by clicking on the bulletin board shown there), so that's another neat feature! You don't have to go all the way into town to see if someone posted a help wanted request. Also the Chests Anywhere mod automatically sorts chests by the location you place them (which you can then customize). For example: your fridge in your house will automatically be placed in the "FarmHouse" category, but you can change that to "Farm" and see it on the list with your other "Farm" grouped chests if you want. Anything placed in the mines, would be "Mines" and chests in town will be labeled "Town", etc. I believe you can also change it (maybe in the Generic Mod Config Menu? but I haven't done this myself) so that you can't access chests that aren't on the same map as you, so make it a little more balanced.
A mod that I’m not surprised you didn’t mention is cave hot spring it adds a hot spring to the cave on your farm it’s more useful than the spa in game especially if you have Stardew Valley Expanded
for automate I have a bunch of crab pots connected and then several worm bins and several recycling machines. it's great. And a quality of life mod I love is automatic gates
You saved my life with ui info suite, I have tried so many exp mods because I saw in most modded videos there is a little exp gained thing that pops up when you do something that gains you exp. Thank you for making such a great video❤
These mods would make it so tough to go back to the original game. I think I would use chests anywhere just to help with organization on the farm and wouldn't abuse per say. I just hate running back and fourth to all my different chests to keep everything organized. Right now I'm playing on switch, but I might do a mod run on PC when I'm done.
Re: Winter Grass and Item Price As of 1.6, grass now appears in vanilla, but it won't spread or produce as much hay IIRC. The show price bit is also a vanilla feature now, though that requires a book.
Would love to see a list of mobile friendly mods. I use automate all the time and you don't need to put paths near the crab pots as long as all the pots are touching
I use Automate a lot.... You don't actually have to put connectors the way you did. If you press U, you'll see an overview of how they connect and just use connectors for those that aren't. Automate is great for filling up sheds and cellars completely with kegs and just place a chest with the wine.
Lookup anything is a must have for playing with Stardew Valley Expanded. There's a fandom wiki for it online, but there's a lot of information missing about certain fish or foragables or NPCs' likes. Now instead of trying to find an ounce of information online, i can just hover over victor and find out that he loves spaghetti
If you use Lookup Anything, you don't necessary need the Gift Taste Helper. If you do F1 while hovering over an NPC or their name in the Social Page in your inventory, you can see their loved gifts as well. Also, if 4 rows of inventory space is still not enough, there is the "Mode Backpack Upgrades", which will bring you to a max of 6 rows. 4th row is 50k, just like the Bigger Backpack mod shown here, the 5th row is 250k and the 6th row is 1 million. So not cheap, but I like it! :D
The automate mod is amazing. I connected all the trash cans in town so it auto collects from them everyday. I also made it so all the coops and barns automatically pick up eggs and milk and make it into mayo and cheese without me haveing go manually put it in the machine or even pick it up
Chests Anywhere and Automate are the main reasons I can play so much of Stardew and not get bored. I dont need to run over to my furnace shed and wait there for my bars to finish so I can keep making more. I can just press B and plop all my ores in there and just wait until later. Makes Kegs and Casks also much more bearable. No more days worth of work running around to fill the kegs across the entire map! Plus it has an option iirc that turns off the chests in the mines and skull cavern if that seems too OP.
if you have UI Info Suite mod, you don't actually need CJB Show Item Cell Price, as the UI Info Suite also has this feature built-in. might be useful for people who might don't want to use whole UI Info Suite
There is a newer backpack expasion mod, more Backpack Upgrades, that gives many more levels to use. Mods I love to see you check out, Durins Rest, Fostria and Stoffton, Raffadax's Complete Prodution, Market Day (if you do it might be best to remove the random NPC folder), Date Night, Lunna Astray, and Adventures Guild Expanded. Edit: Forgot East Scarp and Garden Village, East Scaro I am so used to I forget it is there lol.
UI info suite update. There is a newer version that can be found by searching the comments in the nexus link he has in the description, posted in an early 2023 comment. I am commenting a second time because youtube tends to remove or fail to publish comments that contain links, which is why I am not including the link in this comment.
I have a problem, I install the skull caver elevator mod and I reach level 100 but i don't get the scene with Mr. Qi, I just receive a chest with a item, so I don't know if I actidentally bug my game or what
Id love to see a video about rating the food from Stardew. Like what recipe is most profitable (HP or Energy or buffs / money spend on making in by farming ingridients). I dream of having one farm for making money and another, smaller farm to grow plants to turn them into some food :>
I think the skull cavern elevator has the same limit as the game, the integer limit. This means you can even reach the quarry floor in skull cavern. And reach nice floors like floor 1780, where no more rocks spawn (except in small resource clumps as stone ore).
By the way, the Automate mod works for any machine as long as they're touching one another, so you don't need to use the wood floors thing unless they're not next to the chest. You can stuff a shed full of kegs with no walkways and put a chest right at the door, and they'll ALL draw from the chest. It's easily the best mod I've used.
I have pretty much all of these installed 😅 barring a few that have the functionality included in other mods or I don't need (such as the gift hover over, XP bars, etc)
Automate is soo powerful especially since you can just line the machines next to each other as long as they eventually connect to a chest but it gets more powerful paired with Deluxe Auto Grabber mod and Junimo Chests. Literally all my foraging and harvesting is done and shipped automatically. I use Better Shipping Bin and just take out what I need from the forage and let everything else ship xD
@@salmence100 I've basically automated foraging to a degree that I only need to check my shipping bin and occasionally the Junimo Chests for non-sellables. (I get sooo many lucky rings) I was making around 20k a day just waking up.
Set a chest connected to multiple charcoal kilns and a bunch of furnaces. You dump either coal or wood into the chest with the ores and just let it go. Or add Bait Bins and Recyclers next to the crab pots chest. Or a chest with a bunch of Kegs, Cheese makers, and Casks to automate Iridium quality cheese and wine production. Or plant a whole bunch of trees with connectors surrounding them, tap all of them and use the connectors to dump them into a single chest. Or Beehives into kegs into casks. Or in a barn put an Autograbber next to cheese makers and looms with a chest at the end. Or in a Coop put an Autograbber next to mayonaise jars and looms with a chest on the end. Or put a chest next to a mill to have a proper inventory. Or put a chest next to a line of fish pools. The list goes on and on. Automate is easily a must have mod in all my Stardew Valley playthroughs.
not a mod but a tip for vanilla, you can hover items over the trash can once you have at least one upgrade and compare how much money you get back to see which is most expensive
I've watched most of your mod videos and I'm surprised you haven't done Adopt'n'Skin it lets you adopt as many dogs and cats as you want and reskin them anyway you want. It also lets you find wild horses and you can tame as many as you want. Although there is a glitch that when you corral all your horses they all get the name of your first horse. Also Balanced Valley changes a lot of base game things; like crops and their seasons, mining balances, and lots more.
Maybe if u get the magnifying glass earlier in the 1st year of your fist playthrough the gift guessing game isn't that bad since u can find notes even earlier. But most of em like flowers anyway. And Willie for sure likes fish. And the kids and most for sure love icecream.
Seriously. If you're heavily into modding for Stardew you see their name pop up everywhere. It's honestly astounding how much they do for the community!
I love automate, solely because I can just fill a chest with all my ore and coal and then just leave it and not have to worry about refilling furnaces. The automate mod is what the vanilla game hopper should have been
Of course pathoschild made much mods xD He create SMAPI xD and now, ConcernedApe gave him the full Code of SDV to Improve it for the modding community.
there used to be an XP tracker that was so much less ugly :( it didn’t change the ui at all, you could just hover over to see how far along you are but it doesn’t seem to exist anymore
How about Quality of Life Mods? I know that a lot of the popular mods can be considered this, but just mods that make things less frustrating or easier. Like the Skull Cavern Elevator for those who find it annoying to restart every time you go back into the cavern or the tractor mod.
I use Lookup Anything so often, from seeing when the fish I need for the community center can be caught(it even comes with little checkmarks if you're in the right season, area, weather, and timeframe) or to check what items NPC's like, as I don't always have their loved items on hand but giving out liked items is also good, so I hover over them and press F1 all the time to check. The text will also be green if it's an item you have in your backpack, and it will be filled in if it's an item you've gotten before. It's so useful.
The x y for experience bars is based on your screen resolution. also the experience bar mod also supports skills added by other mods as well, for example the love of cooking will have its own experience bar. By using the info screen F1 thing you can use F1 on a NPC to see all info about them. The skull cavern elevator will go as far down until you hit the absolute limit of skull cavern floors which is the integer limit
I love the Skull Cavern Elevator mod. Too bad it wasn't updated for 1.6 when I looked. PS: You can even F1 Look Up your own farmer, and it tells you info, like exactly how much EXP you still need for a level up.
I have no problem with Skull Cavern being combat. I have a problem that you have to restart it each time. I don’t care if it’s cheating. I love that elevator
It’s a lifesaver for multiplayer

The automate mod is amazing. I connected all the trash cans in town so it auto collects from them everyday. I also made it so all the coops and barns automatically pick up eggs and milk and make it into mayo and cheese without me haveing go manually put it in the machine or even pick it up
Automate is absolutely my favorite mod. That and the UI info suite are mods I always have in the game.
For automate… worm bin, chest, crab pots. Easy set it and forget it. Never have to refill it.
if you have UI Info Suite mod, you don't actually need CJB Show Item Cell Price, as the UI Info Suite also has this feature built-in. might be useful for people who might don't want to use whole UI Info Suite
As a Satisfactory player, I don't think I could play without Automate ever again.
Wait, you mean there’s a mod that adds more upgrades than just the Bigger Backpack mod? That would be useful lol
The UI Info Suite mod seems so useful!
UI info suite update.
There is a newer version that can be found by searching the comments in the nexus link he has in the description, posted in an early 2023 comment. I am commenting a second time because youtube tends to remove or fail to publish comments that contain links, which is why I am not including the link in this comment.
The skull cavern elevator is essential to me! It also makes Mr. Qi’s skull cavern quests much easier!
I have a problem, I install the skull caver elevator mod and I reach level 100 but i don't get the scene with Mr. Qi, I just receive a chest with a item, so I don't know if I actidentally bug my game or what
@@stanleygarcia840 have you found the secret note to get the quest to reach floor 100?
Id love to see a video about rating the food from Stardew. Like what recipe is most profitable (HP or Energy or buffs / money spend on making in by farming ingridients). I dream of having one farm for making money and another, smaller farm to grow plants to turn them into some food :>
A small one, but one of my favorite mod makes all the villagers have seasonal clothing
Automate and Keg/Preserve Quality are must installs for me
Today I learned something for my vanilla-experience from a video about mods. :D nice.
7:50 oh wow. Didn't know that started out as a mod
Great video, you've earned 35k subs. UI info suite didn't work for me, but I'm impressed by the variety of different mods made for stardew valley.
There’s an unofficial update.. there should be a link to the unofficial update on your smapi log
I just got the Winter Grass mod for a new save I'm starting and I don't think I knew that about the spring grass...but hot damn, I do now, LMAO
Once you go UI info, you never go back.
I have pretty much all of these installed 😅 barring a few that have the functionality included in other mods or I don't need (such as the gift hover over, XP bars, etc)
I have almost all of these as a pack to play with my boyfriend!
...AND I HAD NO IDEA CHESTS ANYWHERE CAN BE PULLED UP WITH A BUTTON AA???
I love UI infosuite so much
how did u download it its outdated
Automate is soo powerful especially since you can just line the machines next to each other as long as they eventually connect to a chest but it gets more powerful paired with Deluxe Auto Grabber mod and Junimo Chests. Literally all my foraging and harvesting is done and shipped automatically. I use Better Shipping Bin and just take out what I need from the forage and let everything else ship xD
Oh man I never even considered what the Junimo chest could do!
@@salmence100 I've basically automated foraging to a degree that I only need to check my shipping bin and occasionally the Junimo Chests for non-sellables. (I get sooo many lucky rings) I was making around 20k a day just waking up.
There’s a mod called More Backpack Upgrades and a mod called Custom Backpack Framework (I think, it was 4am the last time I saw the mod name)
I love all the interruptions that happened with the cutscenes haha
Automate is a complete game changer. Never leaves my mods
Also a mod I recommand: combined Maschine :) lets you create, lets say, high Level Version of your Maschines, which then work faster
you really liked the automate bruh. All throughout the vid it is the background haha
Played vanilla for hundreds of hrs and these mods seem to great so installing them
UI info suite my beloved
You know the mod is good when they made UI info suite 2 once the first one was not updated anymore
not a mod but a tip for vanilla, you can hover items over the trash can once you have at least one upgrade and compare how much money you get back to see which is most expensive
Idk if you showed it before but a qol mod I use is identifying where the ladders are in skull cavern and the mines.
I didn't liked the automate mod at first, but tge crab pot really changed my mind
Maybe if u get the magnifying glass earlier in the 1st year of your fist playthrough the gift guessing game isn't that bad since u can find notes even earlier. But most of em like flowers anyway. And Willie for sure likes fish. And the kids and most for sure love icecream.
Anyone else think of DF when he said “Hello everyone” at the beginning? good times
Am i the only one who ist excited about a modded LP? Can't wait*~*
Meep taking over this UA-cam channel
Thanks for this list of mods!!!
Pathoschild is the GOAT wow
Seriously. If you're heavily into modding for Stardew you see their name pop up everywhere. It's honestly astounding how much they do for the community!
@@AkizukiSakura16 we must rally around them and protect them, I wonder if they've ever chatted with concerned ape about working together on something
I always wanted to try the Stardew Expansion Mod
I love automate, solely because I can just fill a chest with all my ore and coal and then just leave it and not have to worry about refilling furnaces. The automate mod is what the vanilla game hopper should have been
Interesting to see how you've grown as a creator, seems your scripting has gotten noticeably better in the newer videos. Still a great video though c:
I'm glad it's noticeable! I usually don't realize it while making them myself!
man i wish we could have mods on console, but playing this game on the train is the best.
This video is insanely useful! Although quite suspicious how it popped up while i was just looking for mods minutes ago ⊙.☉
i got to skull cavern 100 ONCE then decided never again, elevator it is
Automate is such a good mod!
For the automate mod. You don’t need to use the connectors. Just put the machines in parallel or next to each other
Hitting U will show you if it’s good or not
Tried my hand at SVE but it wasn’t for me. I found out I just want an enhanced experienced. With some practical and aesthetic mods.
ima have to downloading every single mod in this video
Wow this is the best video thank you
How about Quality of Life Mods?
Gift taste helper is more annoying imo. Get lookup anything instead and if u own the item they love it'll highlight it ❤
The x y for experience bars is based on your screen resolution. also the experience bar mod also supports skills added by other mods as well, for example the love of cooking will have its own experience bar.
PS: You can even F1 Look Up your own farmer, and it tells you info, like exactly how much EXP you still need for a level up.
god i do love automate...
Is there a mod that just adds more heart events and dialogue for characters?
I used to not play Stardew because I hated the fishing mechanics and for me that BEST mod ever is the no fishing minigame.
Omg I might get automate just for my god damn crab pots
I love how they aded elevator to game without mods😂
Fast forward is a great mod for solo
