I don’t care how far away you guys are, I’m definitely making the trip from Wolverhampton to get my car mapped in the new year!! I want some of that magic nick 💪🏻 Great video as always
Thanks matey,
Very good, mapping in depth step by step would be a great series. As always keep it up boys 🍻
I am considering that, but every setup is different so we'll see in the future
@@DecimalTenths of coarse it is, show the viewers exactly what you wish someone had shown you, do a series, be precise, no questions, no stone unturned, cover it all, viewers will love that, and realistically only the mad few will give it a bash, I’m one of them, very interesting stuff. Is there a software available for doing what ur doing that us mere mortals can get hold of? No stone unturned... as always great job and never stop dreaming big boys 👍🍻 call it “entering the matrix” 👨🏻💻
@@johnny5smokem376 Cheers man, software depends on the ecu. Each standalone has its own configuration software, and oem ecus have a.specific editting suite as well as read/flash tools. What are you interested in playing with and I may be able to advise
@@DecimalTenths I’ve bought myself a golf mk4 AUM, a project from a scrap yard, I went to view it, started fine, asked if he had ramps so I can look underneath, he came back with a forklift and lifted 2 wheels 3 feet off the ground 🤣, the car owes me nothing. I want to tune it myself from start to finish. Also video on turbos and cartridges, what flows what.... what cartridges are good.... your branching out now, so document well the knowledge you have now, because even when you’ve forgotten and moved on these videos will still hold value, timeless. Good night mate. 🍀
You can't beat a Mk2 Golf GTi 16v "big bumper" on Azev A's! I stumbled across this video by accident, but I really, really enjoyed it! I've "liked", "subscribed" and now I'm slowly working my way through the rest of this gentleman's videos. I've not seen this particular brand of aftermarket engine management system before, but judging by the data that appeared to be available on the mapping software, it looks like the aftermarket are catching-up with the Tier 1 OEM suplier stuff (like the Bosch and Visteon stuff that I'm used to). The only other thing that I wanted to say, was: If you're a young guy who's really trying to learn more about cars and how they work, then pay close attention to what he's saying when he's in the car, talking about "injector duty cycle" and the like. There's quite a lot of nonsense on UA-cam, with regards to "dialling-in"/"setting-up" vehicles on rolling-road dynamometers (and engine dynamometers), but this gentleman clearly knows what he's talking about!

Deano!!
Thankyou for leaving such a nice comment. The car on this one was awesome and should be back to us for more refinement once the forged engine and fuel pump are sorted.
I do try to give good info, as well as a level of entertainment in my videos. The kinda stuff I would like to view really.
Your experience and positivity shines through and I appreciate it dude 🤙🤙🤙
Nick
@@DecimalTenths Lookig for to seeing more of the Golf Nick!
That golf is lovely! Nice bit of power! Loved the way you explained everything!
I remember mentioning Nick's name when he posted to the group!
Good hands ay! I love seeing you guys go more in depth than just 'It's now tuned'.
I'm hoping to grab an Ignitron for my 1.8t GTX28 Mk2 in the new year!
Keep up the content dudes! Love this kinda stuff!
Cheers dude 👌
Bloody Ell!
Amazing.
Lot of work there mate.
Love it.
Cheers matey
Another great video guys keep it up and will see you soon!
🤙
Love a MK2 often look at G60s and rallyes for sale, great video as always.
Thanks mate, you're that famous guy aren't you?
Brilliant glad your doing this sort of content
Cheers mate yeah we'll be doing more of this.
Great work lads
9:50 “fucking hell that pulls long nd hard that bastard don’t it” 😂😂
Nice work lads
😎
Better start keeping both hands on the wheel on track. That torque will be a handfull not going straight. Can't wait for track videos.
Another great video.
Cheers mate
What a dream 😀 little beauty ❣️
Fantastic video, great work and a gorgeous car. Have there been any more updates on the car and what fuel pump was it running? Has the fuel pump been updated and has it been re-mapped again? Cheers
Oush... cheers 👍. Sam has since swapped the engine out for the Stroka Mota engine I built, and a Badger5 derived G25 turbo 🔥. So it's even more of a weapon now 🫨
@@DecimalTenthsI need to get it back up.😢
Cracking work ! & video ....... nice MK2 :)
Cheers mate, it was a sweet mk2
A beautiful car, love this type of video ,cracking 🚀💪
Thanks man 👍
Hi,
great video and a Great JOB. And a beautiful graph. It looks so smooth.
But I have some questions:
Which K04 is installed in the car?
Stock exhaustmanifold?
Is the engine stock?
Is it decat? or 200 cells?
Are the 80% dutycycle enough on the road because of the higher load? Or does the ECU correct the Dutycycle in comparision Lambda?
What kind of fuel is in the car? 98 Octane?
And the last question: When do you put your jackets in the Merch-Shop?
Hi! The jackets go in very soon!
The k04 is a TTE300, no cat, stock manifold.
Duty cycle is logged injector on time relative to injector on time. Logged duty cycle on the road matches the dyno data.
Sadly sam had 95 fuel in, next time it'll be full of V 🤙
@@DecimalTenths Thanks Mate. With 95 Octane the power is unbelievable.
Great video. I’m not going to get those numbers with a 16v ABF NASP but I imagine the setup process will be similar for an Omex.
Similar, except the ignitron is miles ahead of the average omex 600. It still just means calibrating the ecu operation to the hardware in all parts of the maps.
Cracking vid, keep em coming!
Cheers matey 👍
Really nice. U covering ecutech?
Were trying to cover em all matey. We have good experience on standalone so will give most a go
Good video, full of info to
😉👍
Merry Christmas boys 🍀
Thankyou pal, merry Christmas to you too 🎅🤘
Holly molly that golf can shift m8. Was it scary in that passenger seat?
Its a hoot! Far better driving then being passenger...🤣
@@DecimalTenths definitely. I miss my little renault 5 gtt. Was like a go kart. Been looking at them again but the prices are just crazy
MKII 4LIFE
Nice one Nick. What’s needed for me to move to the Ignitron? Think I’d need the loom redoing as I’m on the ME3.8
Hi matey, yeah you'd need a wideband conversion to go igniton. EMU is a good standalone option for you being on m3.8. Youd need an AEM wideband controller too like. Give me a shout if you're interested and I could put some info together for you
@@DecimalTenths yes Nick put some information together for me on what is needed and cost. Cheers
What Inlet are you using ??
I saw your BRM on the forums! Looks a very clean car. Have you got any stickers or anything from Alan yet?
I haven't yet! I do plan on getting some though. Its sat in my garage for the time being until I get some time to give it some attention.
Nice mk2 that. 👍
Yeah got some real nice goodies on it mate
seriously love these vids boys . where are you based as I'm looking to do a stage 2 on my mk5
Cheers matey 🤙🤙decimaltenths.co.uk/find-us/
Think i need a mk2 😎
Ita pretty sweet ain't it mate
Nice! Your videos are always good! What’s the owners IG? I have some questions about the Intercooler and radiator he used for the swap. 😊I’m trying to find some for my APX 225hp swap.
Cheers its --> @sambomk2golf
@@DecimalTenths thanks!
Nick since when did you become a mad car scientist
Always had it in me... once upon a time I used to tune BMXs and it just went from there...😉😉
@@DecimalTenths aye making tracks and table tops over stargate qaurry those were the days 👌
Why would the ECU need to add more fuel if a vac/hose popped off?
An excess air situation needs to be met with an enrichment of fuel, or a very lean burn can happen which melts things very quickly
nice vid with lots of cool info. what turbo is he running? heard a hybrid 300 something?
Cheers TTE300 hybrid k04
DW65 is trash lol I had mine fail recently as well. That Golf is vicious though even at conservative power.
👍👍
Are we not addressing the fact that one day a Dyno just appeared in the unit? Are you doing a vid on it?
We are addressing this...🤣. In a video coming to UA-cam very soon
@@DecimalTenths thank goodness. I thought I was taking crazy pills and I somehow missed the install 😂 looking forward to it 👍🏼
Have you considered meth injection ? Will give you the extra fueling you need and also reduce boost intake temps . I get low single figures and some times minus .
Hi Yes we love a bit of meth. The fmic could have been bigger on this which would have helped also, there's always room for upgrades...
I have an MK2 G60 how can i tune or remap?
Standalone engine management, or contact jabbasport
@@DecimalTenths What engine management do you recommend?
@@Simongram17 For a mk2 G60 I would run an ECUMaster ECU and update the setup to wideband fuel control. We sell and setup these systems in our workshop.
@@DecimalTenths The problem is my G60 is abroad, i would love to buy the setup from you guys how can we proceed?
@@Simongram17 Whilst we could supply the setup, it would still take some custom loom work that we would only do in the workshop. So supplying the ECU and conversion parts isn't a problem, but we would struggle to help you install it overseas 🙈. You can send us a message on our Facebook page if you want to discuss more. Cheers
yous are about 15min from me al have to save some cash up and bring my mk1 cupra r for a dyno tune after the Christmas
Cool Alan, sounds right up our street
how two people disliked this is beyond me
