You get two writers known for writing comedy on one of the late night shows, put them in a room together, swap camera from one to the other while they tell jokes, and then Seth Rogen probably says "fuck" a couple times. That's your modern comedy unless you are watching something from Edgar Wright.
This movie was and still is genius. A perfect lethal weapon parody. Still laugh my ass off every time. Too bad they don’t make them like this anymore. Classic comedy that can never be duplicated.

Also if the new Ghostbusters would have went the parody route with the girls and not trying to make a actual Ghostbisters movie it would have been recieved much better. Idk why they didnt. They had the leads all comedians, simple tweak to script and they could have avoided the drama. Just make fun of what those movies were about just like how Loaded Weapon, Naked Gun and Hot Shots did. Nobody would have complained or at least wouldnt have been bashing the movie for months before it even released

My favorite line is when Colt is walking Destiny to her door and she asks, “Do you want to come up? It will only take a minute.” “WHO TOLD YOU?!?” Colt replies. So much funnier in the movie, should have been in this clip.

The first clip, you ask yourself what makes the door gag funny? It is a door gag. Then you see that bead curtain on the outside shot which makes it hilarious. It is the extra little touch/addition to the gag that makes it work so well.
This is a highly underrated 90s comedy classic. It’s funny from start to finish.
