- Sergeant Luger investigates the death of his previous partner to find that she took the chicken shit way out and punched her own ticket.
Loaded Weapon Part 1 Is a hilarious film that really never got main stream attention. While primarily a spoof on buddy cops movies, it spoofs bits and pieces from other films and TV as well.
“Looks like she caught herself by surprise.”
That is brilliant writing.
Maybe she saw a ghost.
@JamesBaker-qc9bz Was that Dan McCracken or Mike McCracken in the movie she won an Oscar for before torpedoing her movie career with this and Sister Act.
@JamesBaker-qc9bz No, don't be stupid, Jackson did Jurassic Park and Pulp Fiction next; hence why there was no sequel. The amount of then stars that were in Loaded Weapon indicates your lack of film knowledge which isn't surprising considering you didn't get my joke in my first post. Now that you mention it though, Estevez did land in type cast Mighty Ducks prison after this so maybe it did.
@JamesBaker-qc9bz The movie was Ghost idiot. How are you still not getting this?
@JamesBaker-qc9bz The punchline to her death sequence was she died with a shocked face. She was in the movie Ghost. Seeing a ghost could cause someone to hypothetically die of shock. You are literally too dumb for words if you don't get this by now.
The number of sight gags in the first 30s are off the charts.
I can't comprehend the current attitude that all slapstick comedies except Naked Gun, Airplane and Blazing Saddles are terrible. There was so much more, and even the not so great ones from this era are a lot better than what we have now.
@@handsomebrick Which are the lesser known ones from the 90s? I've seen the Mel Brooks movies.
@@ColtraneTaylor There are a lot of Zucker-style knockoff parody movies from that time, some with Leslie Nielsen (Repossessed, Spy Hard, Wrongfully Accused). The first two Scary Movies came out in 2000 and 2001, but I'd count them in this. Don't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood is underrated, IMHO. (Not great, just underrated.)
For those who don’t know, the doctor is Dr. Joyce Brothers, a famous psychologist who had a huge media presence. Her whole persona was compassion and empathy. So her delivery of “this loser took the chicken shit way out and punched her own ticket,” kills me every time.

Hope to encounter more posts made by you on the internet
Thanks for the info!! had no idea. Haha!
I love that they got Dr. Joyce Brothers to read these lines. This is such a great movie, so silly and hilarious.
Whilst that maybe true and funny, its the stomping on the rigor mortis hand to get the matches out that is even funnier on top of that.
olol
Suicide, huh? She must have caught herself by surprise...!
My first thought when I heard about the Epstein "suicide"

at 0:51 cops start playing limbo with the crime scene tape lol
LOL
My favourite is the actor who said "Matte finish or glossy" and 'good choice' like it's earth shakingly important.
That's Bill Nunn. He was a phenomenal character actor. He passed away a few years ago. He and Whoopi Goldberg would also go on to do Sister Act together around the same time this movie wrapped.
@@jamescunningham6249 I saw Sister Act back then. I don't remember if I liked it. Thanks, will have to check out more of his stuff.
That's Pittsburgh's (Hill District) own Bill Nunn !!!
@@TheBlackbudda08 Well I've never been to Pittsburgh. Or the US for that matter.

Honestly Man.. Thank God to Leslie Nelson and The Police Squad/Naked Gun Crew for paving The Way for these types of Movies. They're Timeless Treasures. 😅
I miss these sight gag movies. This and the Naked Gun series will stay with me forever.
Watch the show "Angie Tribeca" if you haven't already
I remember my dad renting this movie numerous times at the corner store so we can watch it at home. One of the best spoof movies ever made.
I think Samuel L Jackson should have been in more comedies, I think he's a natural.
Yeah, right?? He had a knack for it
He got too cool for comedies
@@sealteamryx6758 so true. He was in the other guys at the beginning w him and the rock killed off. He did pulp fiction, and somehow it was expected “ every movie.. he’s gonna yell.. cuz he’s Samuel L Jackson!! “.. plus the Dave chapelle skit spelled it out. 👍👍
Could almost argue every movie he’s in he’s doing comedy lol
@@jjmah7 whoa lol🤯
I tell people this is in my top 5 comedies of all-time, and they're like "what movie?" This is classic. "That means it's working."
Same. .
Love this film. Wish i could find full movie its never on tv. Love the part where she takes her bobble out and he tells her she should wear her hair down 😂.

Finally Proctor has a superior officer who is looking to help him.
Lucky than someone hasn't slipped epoxy resin in the shower when he was not looking
I know, right. A superior that wasn't always talking down to him.
I swear, this is one of the funniest movies I've ever seen in my 26 years of life so far. It does the spoof thing just as well as Airplane! and the Naked Gun movies did. Spot-on parody of Lethal Weapon and Basic Instinct.
If you're looking for slightly more obscure Samuel L Jackson 90's movies or enjoy Emilio Estevez, FIND THIS MOVIE. You won't regret it. And keep an eye out for Charlie Sheen as a literary valet parking guy, and Bruce Willis in character as John McClane!
Don’t forget Charlie’s ex wife Denise Richards
how about now at 34-ish?
I was 25 when you made this comment, love the movie too!
wow, 26 whole years? I remember saying that like it was such a long time too lol
Have you seen SPY HARD with Leslie Nielsen ?? It’s funny from beginning to end!!!!
RIP Dr Joyce Brothers and Bill Nunn
Aaawh :(
She must have taken the chickenshit way out and punched her own ticket!
I LOVED this movie back in the day! Very underrated
Havent seen it for years, but that look on SLJ's face when forensic examiner steps on Woopi's hand to get it open cracks me up ever single time.
What's SLJ a social liberal justice (warrior)?

The best advert Head and Shoulders ever did
Saw this when it first came out. Everyone in the audience laughed nonstop.🤣
It’s funny how they show a clue in back of the picture and he doesn’t notice
The tiny details make great spoofs
I really love this Head & Shoulders commercial! 😀
This entire segment is absolute brilliance.
This movie was so freaking good. They don't make movies like this anymore.
I lost it when the cops were doing the limbo in the background 🤣 🤣
I always appreciate a good Tim Curry scene. Thank you!
"Squealer's Hotel" hahahaha
This movie is so ridiculous and fun. It also has a pretty amazing line up considering when it was made.

Whoopi at 1:29 😂😂😂
I remember Sam Jackson as the old guy in this movie and Jurassic Park, then Pulp Fiction came out and he de-aged by about 20 years and stayed that way for another 20.
I think it's his hair that makes him look older here.
Me and my brother used to do the head and shoulders thing all the time
“But bro… you dont have dandruff…”
I know (thumbs up). lmao!
I have always LOVED this movie. Hilarious!
I've always wondered how actors approach comedies. Do they play the characters straight, within the world of the story, or do they play them up as being comedic elements in a funny story?
It comes down to the directors and the actors' abilities. For example the Zucker brothers ( directors of Ariplane, Top Secret, Hot Shots, The Naked Gun, etc) specifically sought serious actors for their movies and told them to play it straight (no "winking" at the camera, as it is referred to). Since the lines they were saying were so ridiculous they wanted to balance the performance by playing everything as if it was normal to say the outlandish things, and face the outlandish situations the characters face, as it was a regular occurrence. The results is the style of humor you see in this movie which, for not being an Abrahams/Zucker movie, got the style copied pretty well. Compare it to the 2000's "Disaster Movie" (and the rest of the ".... Movie" crap) and you have the opposite approach, almost sitcom-like, of making jokes pretty much looking at the camera and waiting for a laugh track that never comes.
The good spoofs like Airplane, The Naked Gun, or even this one, would work as a serious movie even if the humor was removed, for as straightforward a genre plot as the end result would be.
The answer is Yes.
MegaRayland nicely put
The saying is the characters of a comedy never know they are in a comedy. Otherwise, the performance looks like they’re trying too hard.
The stuff going on in the background is just insane. You have more gags in this clip than later spoof movies like Scary Movie 4 which stretched and repeated every joke several times hoping it will become more funny.
2:16 ost name?
"I hate whoppi Goldbergs lips"
old school movies are so amazing that parody movies have amazing cinematography. just look at the end opening hill shot!
Tarantino hired Samuel after the movie.
Didnt realize Procter was in it
*walks face first into caution tape*
'Motherfucker'
The crime scene I filmed today was just like this, they had a porta potty.
So basically we have a writer/director who made some decent action movies and not so good comedies. And then he decides to cash-in on Naked Gun craze and directed one of the best parody movies in history. That is a beautiful story.
Btw according to google the director stopped making movies after awful comedy about monkey and boy genius in 2004
Its Proctor 0:31 :3 :3 :3

Once Samuel Jackson, you are always Samuel Jackson
Some of these jokes are just too serious !
I wish Sam Jackson would do more of these types of movies. He played it straight enough in this movie that I felt he was a black Leslie Nielson.
