Wow something I look forward to visiting when I get back to the Philippines. Mitsukoshi looks really grand and the architecture is very modern. One of my foreign friends, I showed this mall to her she likened it to New York or other high end shopping places in big Western cities. Philippines is really moving up.

Manufacturing facilities is a must. It is terrible the country is a consumer based economy, and not a producer based economy. Where each one produces something. But hey, this is the reason the Philippines economy is too WEAK and slows. This mall invested very miniscule cause they had to partner with the local Filipino companies, it is ridiculous.

You don't need to travel to Japan to understand that the Japanese are all about quality over quantity. They really pay attention to detail and the service is always impeccable based on experience. I think they can definitely compete with the other malls that offer the same things

Literally the Filipinos are consumer based economy. Consumers based economy choose sparkling malls and retail chains than massive production facilities of automobiles, appliances, aircrafts, etc. The good thing about the nation is it is not driven by massive consumer credit card debts, could be the reason the economy is not diluted by various economic volatility lately.
Which is sad. The obsession with all foreign things is just a symptom of the enduring colonial mentality of Filipinos.

I think that's the point of this mall; Introduce Japanese made products. You'll rarely find made in China in Japan. They make better products that are high quality. In terms of price, this mall is for middle class folks.

the best cup noodles that i tasted is from japan, it's a seafood flavor & it's very nice .... it's quite expensive compare to some which is only 25 cents or 50 cents,but i don't mind paying the extra sometimes cuz you gotta treat yourself for working hard .......

Jollibee palang ni Tancaktiong tapos na ang usapan. Kayo nagpatayo lang isang Japanese mall, binabastos nyo na agad ang Chinese community. Mas marami pang trabahong nabigay si Henry Sy sa mga pangkaraniwang Pilipino kaysa sa mga may-ari ng Mitsukoshi.

Yung mga Sy mga Chinese yun pero because they are in the Philippines mas na adapt nila kultura natin and they have WAY much more freedom here kaya they can criticize the government kapag unfair sa kanila yung deals kesa sa China na kailangan palaging may isang CCP government official na mag momonitor sa bawat business ng mga citizen.
