It was confirmed by Konami that they are reusing the same voice lines from snake eater for delta and are recording new dialogue for the updated tutorials using the og cast.

Hi George! I'm just a rando in your comments but have enjoyed your videos for a long time. Hearing you at 20:17 - I first want to share that I am working on a fan fic story - a fully edited radio drama with music, sound effects, and a LOT of hard work. It's a spoof/satire that is intensely lore-respectful but also just a goofy retelling of MGS2 set in the current day. I'll probably finish it by the end of the year. I want to release it in one single segment. It's currently 7 hours long and I estimate it has 1.5 hours remaining for me to make.
Second, I use 11Labs, which has far, far better AI voice cloning. Believe me. I've been working with 11Labs for around 16 months for hundreds of hours. You will have much, much better results with 11Labs. (I looked at the pricing guide of PlayHT and 11Labs is cheaper). Though of course, whatever tech you have set up probably won't be trivial to update.
Let me know if you want to hear what I've been cooking or advice - I've spent over 430 hours working on this.

Thanks a lot! Yeah well, for one, it doubles the man-hours needed to make this, and i got several other projects in progress.. besides that, the replay chat gets deleted if i edit the stream to remove copyright claims.

I disagree on your stance of A.I voices. If the original voice actors are unable to record new lines than companies should hire impersonators to bridge the gap. If companies keep using A.I voices in things and get support or even just neutrality from the gaming community they'll just keep using more and more of it. People only think A.I wouldn't replace creatives because it's not perfected as of now. Even if all of the game's original cast supported Konami's discsition, It still leaves potentially hundreds if not thousands of talented voice actors out of a job. I'd rather have millionaire miss out on affording a new car if it means a small or freelance voice actor can afford this month's rent.
