It felt like hero wanted to make all the units that needed to be individually microed and did not counter anything. He probably could have won easily if he made stalkers over oracles, void rays over adepts, immortals over disrupters...

Dayum! I counted 24 Immortal shots that were wasted hitting 'lings from 14:59 to 15:09! What would have happened if those went on the Roaches and the Adepts were hitting the 'lings instead of the Roaches. Terrible engagement there for 'toss. They were a thousand percent NOT focus firing Roaches lmao.

Disruptors are complete garbage. They are used because there are no alternatives. They are strictly worse than Banelings and Siege Tanks in every single way.
Protoss, the high tech race, completely lacks decent options for splash damage in the mid-game, and thus has to rely on the inflexible Colossus (only effective against Light units) and the Disruptor (which can be kited).

Oh, and you have to research Storm. Because heaven forbid that any Protoss Gateway unit actually be decent without its unit-specific upgrade.

    • @lucasinostroza3420
      @lucasinostroza3420 Рік тому

@@Josh-99 All units are supplementary, thats why army comps exists. In this matchup, archon deals splash damage to all zerg units, so this is another source of AOE damage. Not every unit have that maximun usefulness in every matchup. Allmost all units need a significant upgrade or tech building to be usefull, marine needs stimpack, roach move upgrade, zealot needs charge, its a strategy game so a planning is part of it, thats why timing and scouting is also important.

If I ever had to play this game, and maybe I'll start because it's really cool, I'd try to play like a bot on the hardest level in Warlords Battlecry III:
From the beginning of the base's existence, the enemy is flooded with weak units from all sides, whose task is not to let him leave the base. At the same time, the bot tries to capture as many resources as possible on the map. After a short time, the spam of weak units stops for a moment to give them the opportunity to gather in large groups - at this point the real fight begins. In the bot base, towers begin to appear en masse along with a large number of strong units - more than one group. While one moves on the enemy, the other stays to guard the base, and finally, when it is no longer possible to use resources to build new units (production limit), he releases all groups at once. While units are fighting the enemy in place of the fallen, new ones immediately appear with the order to attack all units furthest from the heart of the enemy base - both strong and weak. Units always attack all enemy positions at once or in quick succession one after the other, without giving the player time to focus on only one problem.
In other words: after five minutes of play, you have to fight on all fronts with everything you have, including the workers who have no way of escape. With the amount of "fun" and stress that such a skirmish will guarantee you, these five minutes are like an hour of constant fighting, which I absolutely loved about this game.

Those games were absolutely exemplary of the horrible state of Protoss right now.
"Zealots without Charge are the worst unit in the game!"
Yeah, they are pretty terrible even WITH charge. Zerglings and Hellions are better in every way.
The second game showed how absolutely terrible Adepts are. Even in huge numbers they can't handle even a modest amount of Roaches, Ravagers, and Queens.
Protoss can do nothing about Zergling run-bys when trying to be aggressive in the early game because you can't afford to leave units behind for defense against the ridiculously fast, high-damage Zerglings.
The first game showed how garbage Disruptors are. Expensive, slow, difficult to micro, and if your opponent doesn't want to get hit they just... walk away. It's not like you can fire again without waiting 21 seconds.
Watching the Roaches and Ravagers just tank the Psionic Storms and keep attacking was sad. They didn't even care about the incoming damage.
It's hardly a wonder that we are seeing fewer and fewer professional Protoss make it to high levels in these events. Once you get out of Diamond and cheesing doesn't work well anymore (because people know how to counter it), the lack of effectiveness of Protoss in a standard game becomes very apparent. You either cheese or you play passively until you can build a Skytoss deathball.

her0 did a goofy cheese into a half-baked all-in game 1, dies horribly. game 2, her0 ooga-booga slams 50 adepts into Solar's base and is winning, but is perma-mashing the F2 key and lets zerglings into his base approximately 1.5 billion times without any appropriate response, and loses all his workers. But sure, Zerg is broken. Honestly, this demonstrates that protoss may be broken given her0 has gotten this far based on this performance.

You are right it should be ambiguous to preserve some interes, but it should not imply something that its not true. As I said in the first comment. XXXX Amazing cannon rush defense, works the same, doesnt reveal the ending and it doesnt imply something else.
