I bought my first trail cam in 2018. It was an Apeman H45. Simple, reliable, decent videos and photos but nothing to write home about. I use them for rural property security mostly to see who might be trespassing. Get some great wildlife footage too. Detection range is maybe 35 to 40 feet and sometimes triggered by sound first. Have been trying to find a good cell cam but can't settle in on something that is simple, reliable and inexpensive. So I keep buying more Apemans and flooding my zone with them. Not as good as a cell cam but I check them frequently enough and they are under $50 each. They are best value for what I need. I don't have money to waste trying cameras only to find out I cant get them to work well or have to learn how to operate many different cameras.
We ended up exchanging this model for the slimmer version ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx0jZ_lGlDVJhDnmagEU8gn47cmfPNlLQU because it was too wide for the only door trim area that made sense to mount it on. However, we should have just noted the dimensions prior to purchasing. Otherwise, we love the doorbell. It works perfectly, and the video is very clear, even at night.
I've never had much luck with stealth cams, they seem to miss alot of pics. I've found that basically any trailcam that opens up and swings out away from the battery compartment is prone to failure. Browning are the best that I've used.

You should give Stealth Cam's Reactor cellular camera a try, takes way better daytime pictures than the Fusion but I find the Fusion takes better nighttime pictures than the Reactor!
can you call stealth cams, if your trail cam gets stolen and get them to GPS it if it come on again ???? or get them just turn it off so that it will not work for them
I started using a Spypoint Flex Camera. The app has the coordinates at the time of the last upload. If a camera gets stolen and gets turned on the owner will get a picture, the gps coordinates, date and time (auto set through gps), temperature, and battery %. I am guessing other good cell cameras are similar. Don't steal them, you can't use them, can't even turn them on without getting caught.
This last December is stopped to check a camera at a stand on public land. To find the camera and stand both gone. Then to add insult to injury when I got back to my truck someone busted out the window and stole everything in my truck including all my tags
That sucks man, I was up a tree in my climbing stand on public land about 5 years ago in the rain so I only walked 200 yards off the road, I could still see my truck clear as day up 50 feet 😮. Well the sun just came up and I hear a vehicle crunching up the gravel road and it stopped right behind my truck, so I grabbed my binos and looked, it was 2 kids probably in their late teens looking at my truck 👀, so I just watched until they tried to open a door and I yelled HEY MOFO GTF AWAY FROM MY TRUCK OR YOU ARE DEAD! Those 2 kids ran like scalded apes falling all over that gravel to their car and blasted out of there sideways lmao. You gotta be some kinda ignorant to break into a hunters truck in gun season, dmf’s!
I’m pretty sure you can track tactacams. You have to check and make sure cause I’m not positive, but I thought someone told me you could track their location. You might be able to get it back if you can contact them and they can find the location
I have a couple of Covert cams that are really nice. Monthly cost for one is $10 IIRC and if you add a second cam it's only $5. I also have a couple Reveal X cams which work well and are cheaper than the Covert. The service can be turned off for the winter/spring/summer months if you don't want to pay for doe and fawn, moving bushes, birds flying by and not getting caught by the cam etc. pictures. Spring time for turkeys is well worth it if you have enough to trigger them. And the late night pictures of raccoons will make you want to get thermal. Also your phone company doesn't matter when buying a cam, what matters is the best signal in the area you are putting the camera in. That camera sends the picture (or video if you have the Reolink) to the company's cloud. You then get a notification (if turned on) that your camera took a picture. You then see the picture off their cloud and not from your phone company. So when you see the cam box saying it's either Verizon or ATT, just be sure the signal where you're putting is whichever one is strongest. When placing the camera always be sure not to put it facing sunrise or sunset. You'll get really useless pictures.
You should hide a airtag inside the trailcam cases so you can pay those thiefs a visit. Tip: use a 3d printer and print an oversized case, glue it all together and nobody will know you rigged it with tracking.

"best" trail camera? a stealthcam? c'mon now. there are many 'amazon' cams that are better than any other cams out there, easy. and when you factor in price, they are waaay better. the 'namebrand' cams are severely over-priced, especially when their quality hasn't really improved over the years. and cell-cams are pretty much just a preference for one's area. lots of areas don't have coverage. then, you have to place the cam for optimal reception, instead of optimal cam location. i enjoyed my cell-cam at first, but then found it just wasn't best for deer locations. i want my cams hid, which means in the trees, under branches, etc. cell-cams do have their place, but they aren't going to be optimal for everyone. and for a cell-cam, it would be crazy not to go with the spypoint solar cellular. personally, i hate spypoint, but it's alot better than the stealthcam, being solar. myself, i'm all about video, and the cam has to have great night-vision. sound, i can live without, it's not even necessary. but, it does make the vids more enjoyable. i think, for me, the top features are night-vision, video quality, and battery life. i'll never buy a 'name-brand' again, only the 'overseas' brands.
@@mymate18 campark and gardepro are some of the best cams out there. I think brownings are the best of the 'namebrand' companies, but they're all made in china too, so why not just buy a chinese brand. I'm not paying extra for them to fancy package a cam and pretend it's american.
@@WhisperingWild thanks for replying. I guess since you know more about this than me. I’m looking to put one up high in a pine tree on my property. Solar powered so I don’t have to constantly go up and change out batteries. What do you recommend? Simple security measure

I run all stealth cams and have never had any problems yet. Good videos and clear pictures. 45ng, 42ng and gmax 32

Should be the Tacticam Reveal X is cheaper to buy. They might be a buck or two more expensive on the monthly charge.
My guess is someone was doing something illegal and stole the evidence.
browning good ones!!!
Thanx for the info!
What kind of camera are you using?
Do you have to scan the code to get the app or can you download it from the Play store? I don't have an iPhone so I can't scan code like that. Thanks.
U can download just from play store. Its called the command pro app
What is the distance of the motion detection?

Nice Job.
Is there a decent trail cam that captures the TIME as well ? Thanks. Great VID.
almost all cams do, just have to select the timestamp feature.
How does it work if I have no internet/wifi where i want to mount it ?
It will act as just a regular trail camera saving pictures to the memory card
Can’t wait to get out east and set some trail cameras.
Good job

the problem with all these cameras is they are low megapixels which means poor pic quality
