Perfect timing for this video. I just got my Exodus Lift 2's from Chad Sylvester. I mentioned Jeff and it saved me $20.00 per camera.

Amen. I hardly ever kill one I don’t have pictures of. On my hunting property. I was going to say 90. But when I think about it. It’s probably around 95 percent. I killed one in the last 5 season. I did not have on camera. On private property. 300 acres. Just me hunting it. I spend a lot of time and money on it. But I’m always trying to figure out how to make it better. That’s is why I watch YOU. Your the best.

Oh man this video was a relief for me. Pretty much every year by the middle of October I can name every buck on my camera and 90 plus percent are repeat actors on camera. I thought I was doing something wrong that was causing me to not get a ton of random bucks. Thanks again and as always.

Love your approach to trail cameras. Having read QDMA’s book on cameras when I was just getting started, your tips are really around the strategy for trail cameras to complement QDMA’s book. Excellent.

Congratulations on the new hunting grounds. Once again great content. Also wanted to thank you for your suggestions the other day. I plan to work on defining browsing spots for 1&2 so the 3,4&5 are not food plot only.
Installing my water hole and a mock scarp this weekend can't wait to see the results.

Spot on. It’s super fun. It’s like catch and release for deer. For me the biggest advantage being a person who has my own land very far from where I live is I get the months of pics prior to hunting as well as past years bucks. This enables me to make better judgement on Deer I want to pass on and ones that are top end for what my average is.

Hey Jeff do you remember before cameras using a string placed across trails? This device had a string that you put across the trail and when a deer pushed past the trail/string it would pull out of the plastic box and document the time. You had no idea what set it off. Fox, coyote raccoons. The things I did back the almost embarrassing. Lol

Please settle the debate, I have been told to NOT use a camera with a flash because it spooks the bucks. What have you seen? Great info thanks for sharing posting Jeff! Cant wait for bow season to start in GA!!

I do appreciate and trust information from this channel a lot. I am the beginner hunter, invested a lot in theoretical work, now is time for hunting. Can you please let us know your opinion about the cameras red light? Do stags see it and get spooked or not and do you recommend photos or video? THX and good hunting for the future to all of you😊

That mile they travel..Only takes them 10minutes.I have noticed that here.Saw a buck yesterday. While my wife and I were Turkey hunting. I found a match set last year a mile from my house and my son in law shot him practically in my yard.Time to get some fresh batteries out.Got some areas I want to check.I don't know if cell cams would work here. But man that's the way to go.

I do run one trail cam in a crappy low deer sign area just to be curious. Every now and again you see a buck that had been wiley go through.

what do you think about this, I took pictures of 25+ bucks on a 80 acres parcel, 6-7 different mature bucks but I only took more than one pictures of like 8-10 different bucks. My neighbour only took picture of 5-7 different buck during the season and most of them never seen more than a 2 years old during the season. I ended up harvesting the second biggest buck of the parcel but I'd love to know why most of my bucks appears only few times but others hunters have difficulty to take a picture of a buck older than a 3 years old.The piece of land is about 180 acres but I can only hunt and put camera on 80 acres

Jeff, my biggest issue with cameras over the years has been “reliability “! If you can, will you recommend a camera brand that you like?

I love Browning for the simplicity and the the battery life. My batteries last from august to February. I have to say that I am on public land and there is no bait so I may get 100 pics one week and none on another. I really like the dark ops cameras because there is no flash or even infra red glow.

I have more that will take 5000 pictures or more on one set of barreries. But it's all in the settings.More time between pics and less pics is key..
