They're not doing anything any time soon. They've lost like a gazillion dollars this past year on everything they've done, movies, streaming, parks, cruising. Everything has been a loss. On top of that, it took them 5+ years to copy a single ride from one of their other parks! My 50 year DVC deed will be expired before disney opens another gate.
They’ve also had Epcot under construction for an eternity to build a walk through with a bunch of plants and water lol. Universal has built half of epic universe in the time Disney has built an Epcot pathway
Also I know the Tumbnial says 5th Park but it’s actually their 4th seeing as Universal Studios’s only other Parks in Orlando are “Studios” “Islands of Adventure”and “Volcano Bay”
Disney needs to raise capital to finish buying Hulu at a time when it looks like the ship has hit an iceberg and is taking on water at an alarming rate. Disney cannot even think about blowing money by expanding it's theme parks until after the Hulu deal is done.
Disney has always been reactionary. Meaning they will wait to see what happens before doing anything that huge. Rumors of 5th gate have been around for a very long time. Right now attendance is at a all time low for summer. If they were going to announce anything, it will next year at D-23 September of 2024. Small chance it will happen at Destination D-23 this year due to small event. So my bet is next year.
how would you feel if it were a 20th-century Fox theme park with The Simpsons, Aliens, Predator, Futurama, Family Guy, King of the Hill, Ice Age, Independence Day, Planet of the Apes, X-Men and Night at the Museum?
I definetly do not think they would theme an entire theme park to a movie or movie series, they would do a vague theme so they can change it up when things get relevant and irrelevant
After going several times to Disney park througt the years, My wife still goes to Peter pan... My point is if the movie is good it Will be good forever.
Universal will be our Family’s only vacation spot, so obviously we are so excited for Epic to open. We are absolutely done with you know who with all their woke, liberal, leftist agendas. We just want to have fun and be immersed in imagination and creativity. No guess’s here because we don’t care about them anymore as they’ve shown they don’t care about who made them what they are.
Iger wants to tank Disney so that a specific buyer (hint: It rhymes with snAPPLE) will get better value for its buck. Iger has both financial and personal connections to this potential buyer and their board. Announcing a 5th park would raise stock prices. Also, it would weaken Iger's/Disney's war with Florida and DeSantis as it would commit to investing in the future there, something that Iger's ego wouldn't allow.
I have heard this rumor but it makes no sense at all. Apple is a very disciplined company. They do a couple of things exceptionally well and that's it. How does acquiring a dozen theme park properties, another streaming service, a cruise line, etc. fit with the Apple ecosystem? And no, I don't think they would buy just to sell off pieces. Lastly, Apple has a ton of money, but even for them, this would be a HUGE purchase.
@@LChatmanFL I see your point although the interest in acquisition is publicly documented over two decades. There are usually three reasons to acquire another major corporation. Eliminating competition or expanding in similar areas of business do not appear to be applicable. The third is expansion into other profitable areas not addressed in either company's portfolio. Disney has a high profitability potential providing the acquiring corporation is willing to and has the power/ability to address certain problems. Dealing with the wokesters and refraining from meddling in politics and social issues is easy. Also note that a CEO who assists/facilitates a takeover is likely to walk away with dozens of times more money than any severance or retirement package. Iger's leadership and influence driving down Disney's profits and stock prices would be considered grounds for appreciation by the acquiring corporation.
@richardjames6947 I would submit to you the publicly documented interest is driven speculators, as it most often is. A merger/acquisition of this size would have NDAs all over it with SERIOUS legal jeopardy. There is no benefit to either Apple nor Disney to "self-leak" a possible deal. In fact, it would be illegal as possible market manipulation. Apple does consumer electronics. Getting into the theme park business (core brand identity) just doesn't make fiduciary good sense. Yes, the parks make margin, but the pieces burn it all up. The only reason Apple is in the content creation business is to drive more hardware sales. They care less about subscriber numbers. They just want to sell AR headsets & Apple TV boxes from which to drive more ad revenue because of the captive platforms ( aka walled garden).

I came here to leave this exact comment.
Sell that DVC. Get off the S.S. Iger (Disney)
Disney doesn't need to do anything other than what they are doing, drive profits and stock prices down to allow a takeover.

@@zarquisyiris6260 good luck ! Go get it !!!!
So looking forward to Epic Universe. Disney just can't compete anymore
After they announce it, it will take them 15 years to build it...
Took Disney longer to build Tron then it is taking Universal to build Epic. No way Disney has a new park this decade.
Also I know the Tumbnial says 5th Park but it’s actually their 4th seeing as Universal Studios’s only other Parks in Orlando are “Studios” “Islands of Adventure”and “Volcano Bay”
No I’m saying Disney is gunna make a 5th park in Florida
@@ThemeParkScoop At the moment it seems like they are more concerned on the financial status of Disney + but I would like to be proved wrong
