Black Jeera/ Zeera is NOT Caraway. Google it. Google is your friend. But even in Google there is a lot of confusion, because they call Nigella (kalonji) 'Black Cumin' . Caraway, Kala zeera (or Shahi zeera,) and Nigella/kalonji are three different kinds of seeds. Nigella/kalonji is really onion seed. In the same way people confuse Tej patta with Bay Leaf. Tej patta is Cinnamon leaf - NOT Bay leaf. Bay leaf belongs to the laurel family. You have only to look at the veins in the two types of leaves side-by-side leaf to see the dramatic difference in configuration. Hope this helps.
