and Dickie showa up & walks across the stage @ around 1:04:50, and gives Warren a hug , while he's playin... COOL!
I agree, and Govt Mule as a power trio, AMAZING!
My favorite era of warren haynes, just amazing!
right here in the Broken Promise Land...
AWESOME!! Was wondering if this show had ever been recorded? I was there and it was one of the best concert experiences I’ve ever had. Great show , beginning to end! Warren played roughly 4hrs - never missed a beat , was always in tune etc.
BTW , this solo album is very good , I suggest checking it out.
Blue Radio - What an incredible jam!
If I'm gonna turn someone on to Warren Haynes or Govt mule, this is where I would start, excellent work and thank you warren & the mule...
I think broken promised land is among Warren's best writing. I remember seeing a print ad (back when those were a thing) from Warren when i was a kid - i think it was in a guitar magazine - he had lost this specific red strat somehow (stolen?) and was offering a reward for anyone who could locate it. Hopefully he got it back, though i don't recall ever seeing him using it after the mid '90s. Anyway, he certainly ended up finding his sound with other guitars. good stuff!
Warren is the complete package!
just amazing!!
wow !! sooooooo good !!
Saw them in Boston, with the Screaming Cheetah Wheelies as the opening band. Talk about high-powered, intense rock! Amazing show, love Warren!
Yep - SCW were a great band , shame they didn’t continue further than they did
This is really awesome. Those early days were so much fun. This brings back such great memories of these shows. Thank you so much for sharing.
What a Great Set ! Tanks Mr. Hophead !
Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful recording - the good old times - Warren has such a beautiful voice and has become a legend in the music world - ---,-'---(@
Loved this band first time I seen them in 1993 Roger Williams Park in Provisence. Excellent all around show TY
This is a perfectly curated time travel! Thank you for sharing!
thank you, Uncle Warren laying it down ....
Briliant!! Shud be more folks Dancin out there!
I saw this tour twice at Great Woods. Dickey did not play either shows. Zakk Wyde played the first and David Grissom filled in on the second one.
Stowe mountain, too!! Dickey wasn't there that yr....Jimmy Herring replaced him that nite,..Warren smoked w/ his band just like this...Horde Fest
Thanks Hophead, I'm a sucker for all your videos. You guys are great. Love Warren w/ the red strat
Warren on a Strat sounds like Warren
PickUps on that Strat are actually stacked (Lace Sensors) humbucker’s, and are a lot like a Gibson’s, thus don’t sound like a Fender.
@@robertdillon9989it's not the plumbing, it's the plumber...
Wow ❤😂❤😂😊😊
Oh, that Warren Haynes....someone recently asked me if I thought Warren could read music....my answer: Music reads Warren Haynes!!!
Warren playing a Strat?? I always assumed he came out the womb with Les Paul in hand. Of course he could play a toy guitar and he’s still sound amazing.
Yep - he played that red Strat a lot , back then - switched it up with the LP he bought from Gibson factory in Tn. For several years . I think he played it a lot in the AB’s to differentiate the sound from Dickey a bit - but they did play dual LP’s quite often
Do you know where I could get my hands on this for download? Is there a soundboard out there anywhere? Would appreciate any help, thank you and God bless
Who is this? Is this Stretch?
What venue was this at?
If I had to guess, Lakewood Amphitheater; probably an opening set for ABB (Warren pulling double-duty)
@@andrewcannon8561 It was 13 year old Derek Trucks, Tinsley Ellis, Warren Haynes Band (around the time Mule was playing bars in town), Allman Brothers and then everybody jammed. Got to meet the Brothers backstage before the show through my friend Tinsley.
Who are the band members?
Where's woody???
He sounds great here. Early Stuff is the best. I feel Warren has got away from the big guitar sound.
