One of the worst arguments that I ever heard has been “Payday 2 didn’t have all these quality of live changes at launch so Payday 3 doesn’t need to have them.” Like are you kidding me? It’s almost like a sequel is supposed to be a continuation that improves on the past title(s)
I get that argument about the content, but not about basic shit like UI (e.g. weapon stat bars) to further load onto that: The removal of going black/white when on the last down has gotten ne in jail more often then I'd like to admit...
I agree. I think it isn't fair to judge the lack of things like the number of attachments, but it *is* absolutely fair to ask "wtf, where are all the systems that made PD2 successful?" as you'd think they would have tried to have systems in place so that it's not so jarring for their player base to move to the new game
this trend in modern gaming absolute infuriates me to no end. So many sequels come out with LESS features than the previous. Game companies will somehow remove loved features from newer games in a series, and I just can't wrap my head around that. Its not just like content features. It will literally be extremely fundamental features that everyone liked. For example, it will be something rediculous like removing the ability to back out of a lobby with your party lmfao like what was even the point of the previous game? did they forget it exists? did they forget everything they learned and improved? modern sequels are just downgrades with new content. If not for the"better graphics" you would think you're playing the older game.
One minor nit pick I had was that the swat team looks no different on Overkill than it does on normal and hard. I think it's unfortunate because it definitely gave those higher difficulties of more personality like the cops looked more threatening etc. Maybe in a future update with an higher difficulty than overkill stuff like that might return.
If they do bring back FBI, GenSec, and ZEAL, they should be heist-specific. FBI when raiding FBI offices and such, GenSec for GenSec-owned or protected properties, idk what to do for ZEAL, just replace them with National Guard for all I care.
dont forget all of the different songs you could choose before each heist. Throwing on dondacdum and going loud was my favorite way to de-stress after work.
Payday 3 made me realize that no matter how many garbage live service games there are there's still way too many people who will buy them and defend all the issues. Those people deserve to be scammed by Nigerian Princes.
My Payday 2 had been broken for months. Opening it would completely bug out my monitor and it was unplayable. Decided to wait for PD3 figured it was a fair time to just give up. Now 3 is out, I went back to 2 and I'm having some of the most fun I've ever had!!
PD2 was genious in many ways, which are absent in PD3. PD2 made me WANT to STEAL MORE by constantly reinforcing succesfull heists with goodies like extra cash, random bonuses and, more importantly, making the stuff I steal usable in game. For example if you steal entire samurai armor from Shadow Raid, you'd get a samurai mask unlocked for you to use. I believe you'd also be able to place this armor in your safehouse for display. Stealing never felt so good! In PD3 it feels like you're stealing crypto keys and wallets (how do you do, fellow kids?) with no tangable rewards. I'd not be surprised if people who made PD3 have never played PD2 .
I remember how capcom's resident evil 4 team replayed the classic re4 so they could have an idea of what people liked and most importantly disliked, so they could better in all aspects, and boy, did they deliver. No wonder jap games (some of them... looking at you, konami.) are so superior in comparison to the west.
I think this is what happens a lot with these kinds of games. People forget that their predecessor was constantly updated with new content for quite some time after release.
@@andrewbrowne7831Entire point of this video is that PD3 should not be as barebones as it is, since the only excuse for it being barebones is "PD2 was barebones at launch too)"
It's not mentioned here, but something that Payday 3 does is have the weapon stats be in bars and kind of vague in terms of what it does. Fun fact: Payday 2 *used* to do this, but they changed it to what we have now, and it's so much better having clear numbers to everything rather than "you have half a bar of ROF". Also, in terms of weapons and UX, "Recoil", "Stability", and "Handling" could all mean the same thing.
I need someone to make a video on what the differences are because what does the + and - mean? More recoil? Better recoil? Less recoil? I honestly don't know what they mean. +vertical and -horizontal. So is that more vertical and less horizontal recoil or is it the other way around?
My favorite part of destiny 2. You have 80 impact, what is 80 impact? It means you have 80 impact. Is that going to do 800 damage? Or 900 damage? You have 80 impact, take it or leave it.
I thought it is Recoil- upward force Stability- left right variation sway while moving and left right recoil control Handling-weapon ready-time Gun kick- visual recoil punch in ads. Granted gun kick is usually lumped in handling or stability in most games but it actually pretty uniform across the board when it comes to different games and the meanings. And they don’t usually give the detailed stats as to shroud the “meta” builds a bit.
To be fair the original developers were long gone since PDTH (Dallas and Houston faces from PD1 and Wolf and Bain from PD2). So the devs that knew something were not there in the first place.
Another thing that should be mentioned is the fact that Shade feels like a straight downgrade from Locke or Bain. She just feels like someone who exists to only feed you information, nothing more, nothing less. It really might just be me being used to Bain and Locke, but it feels like she has ZERO personality in comparison to the explosive personality of Locke and Bain. What I mean by this is that Bain would literally congratulate you for passing a assault wave, Locke would cuss you out for not attaching the winch to the money pile in Birth of Sky, stuff like that. Payday 3 just doesn’t have any of this, which is really sad because the voice acting for Payday 2 was extraordinary for the most part. I will give Payday 3 one thing though: THEY DON’T HAVE H3H3 WOOOOOOOO
I don't think I can keep gaslighting myself into believing that this game is good... I am trying my damnedest to say I'm having fun when in reality all I could have gained from playing payday 2 would be more worthwhile. It's fucking devastating that there is just so little to this game compared to the second one. I really appreciate this video and I am very happy that I saw it because I wouldn't have otherwise taken the time to realize that this is a lost cause until they update it. I'm gonna re-download payday 2 and grind for that DSOD mask
That's actually exactly how I feel. Like I haven't made a video in quite a while but once I finished Payday 3 I was like, "what else can I do?" I already had a gun I liked so I did not feel compelled to acquire more money for a different one, there are not any cool masks in my opinion so no need for cash there, and the XP system is just atrocious and does not feel worth our time so I am kind of just setting this game down as well for now. I can already solo Very Hard loud and I would be able to do Overkill if I could just get my skills at a more reasonable pace and have more competent AI like in Payday 2. Thanks for commenting though, I am glad I read this because it made me come to a similar realization of just leaving it until they fix it up a bit. I'm happy I brought a revelation to you too haha
I did not grind the DSOD mask in payday 2 for 3 months to get a sequel that doesn't feel nearly enough as great and intriguing. In payday 2 even with the stupid dumb fun DS difficulty you could solo, in payday 3 on OVKL i can't do any objectives without losing my armor in 3 seconds, and without armor gating and the bots being made out of cardboard, higher difficulties don't feel like a challenge that requires skill and more like a chore that requires your friends (and pray to god they are good at the game), did starbreeze really expect a their playerbase that mostly played solo offline mode to have a full squad whenever they want to play? I agree with @crabwater, i can't keep ignoring all of the missing features and gameplay elements that fall short on this sequel.
Two things that were not mentioned that I feel needs mentioning. The stealth game play is greatly improved being able to hack phones, use searches and being escorted out was a really nice change. One thing that was completely missed was melee, there are several stupid builds that were a ton of fun, and crazy selections of weapons, swords grill utensils, in 3 not only are there absolutely zero options, before you could afford a silencer you could melee someone into submission. In 3 you cannot kill anyone with melee, which on my first attempt was unfortunate. Generally speaking though, I agree with everything you said as a player of both.
You're right on that one, I should have highlighted the improvements they made to that. I did mention the hacker skill line but that's about all I did. I guess since I did not really see any other stealth skills I just did not stealth as much in this game, but I agree with you. Regarding melee weapons, I did not personally use them that much but I do miss all the goofy options they offered (like being able to slap dudes with a stack of cash haha).
I would like to mention that there is a form of meelee stealth kill as you can use the "Take Human shield" feature to meelee execute a guard that hasnt discovered you from behind
@@orngememesa lot with rush counts towards stealth as well though, for example being able to run past cameras if you have rush in private areas, non guards not caring if you do illegal things, I mean you can stealth steal the entirety of the front of the jewelry store with the second one
I wouldn't have done it but i'm from Argentina, games get their maximum pricing raised all the time, so I panicked and bought it @@IAmVenix Taxes went up from 75% to 89% two weeks later. Yesterday, they went up to 100%.
Some other things to think about is how little variety in things there are in Payday 3, even compared to Payday 2 on release when it came to weapons and masks: Payday 2 on launch: 9 Assault rifles, in four different classes, AR, BR, DMR, MR 3 primary shotguns, A pump action, a semi auto, and a double barrel one One special primary, the Saw 6 secondary submachine guns, in 3 classes 6 secondary pistols, in 6 different damage classes 1 secondary shotgun 38 normal masks 12 Infamous quality masks Payday 3 on launch: 4 Assault rifles 2 Marksman rifles (Technically one Marksman rifle, one bolt action rifle) 3 submachine guns (Primary this time) 2 shotguns (One pump, one double barrel) 5 secondary pistols (2 revolvers, 3 normal) 25 normal masks
@@chrisher711 Or the fact that PayDay 2 has mountains of DLC content that the developers seemingly refused to use as reference for how much content this game should have, or to learn any lessons from said last game being barebones and how new content went right and wrong post launch. I don't care if they can't add everything from the last games into this one, there should be considerably more and better content than mentioned earlier. I can't see why this game isn't a PayDay 2 update or port like CS2. That would have been a safer route than this.
@@chrisher711 Bro, does robbing the same bank 3 times with different vault loot really count as “different heists”? Also Ukrainian Job & Jewelry Store are effectively the same heist. The number of heists on release Payday 2 is effectively the same
@@SomethingBoutEclipse Discounting that, Payday 2 started off with 10, Bank Heist at the beginning was purely random, you never had the option to choose if you wanted gold, money, or deposit. Also forgetting that every single heist in 3 is a single day, instead of 3 day heists like Firestarter, or two days like Big Oil. Firestarter was a 3 day heist that was available day one on PD2, 3 maps for one heist, or in Payday 3's case, 3 different heists, because none of the maps in Payday 3 are even that big.
@@Ashen_Night116 Even the recycling bin from PayDay the Heist was more fleshed out in both older games. PayDay 2 graphically looks like Left 4 Dead 2 or Modern Warfare 3 with considerably better animations and customization. And kind of just plays like it too. In spite of a few issues like texture resolution and policemen moving like claymation when there's like 100 on screen (which is pretty impressive), I thought the graphics of the second game were fine. Lord Coxton knows how many people play older games when newer ones have no soul and run and look worse with every year. I haven't been impressed by new games graphically since 2015. Everything keeps going back to that, just with blurrier and buggier visuals. I kind of miss when the staple of good looking games was thinking about what you were doing, and the game opening up a dialogue with its players as well as running fast with good performance. I mean, who can forget the leap from a stuttery mostly 720p 25-ish fps on XB360 and PS3 to mostly 1080p 60fps on PS4 and XBOne? I sure don't. So why have these developers forgotten? Beats me, this should be easy stuff.
My mom back in the day saw the Payday 2 Crimenet screen on my PC while I went to a friend's house because I left it on. We had a talk afterward about how I'm not an actual criminal and it's a video game 🤣 that's how sick the Payday 2 ui was.
The game just feels like a step backwards from 2 not just in features but in scale as well. I know with time more content will be added but the game feels like it is still in beta despite being out.
I expected the scale to be much smaller and the content to be limited. because they will add more heists, guns and so on. the big disappointment is how much of a downgrade it is on other levels.
Gonna add to the AI portion: There's a part of the Dirty Ice mission that REQUIRES two people to do. You have to hold down a button and then have a teammate with the red keycard hit the vault button to open it. You cannot gain all of the loot in the heist solo, which is a requirement for numerous challenges for said heist. This doesn't feel like a simple design oversight, but an intentional middle finger to solo players. WHY they couldn't just allow you to yell at a team ai or shove a civ on the button, I couldn't tell you.
I see what you mean man and it is pretty annoying, but I found out that you can actually have the manager press one of the buttons for you. It is a little annoying since you kind of have to defend her so she does not get released. Thanks for checking out the vid!
This game deserved better. The devs clearly didnt have the time to make the game finished, gameplay at its basics is superb, the feedback for gunplay is for the most part awesome, yet theres so many issues that could have been avoided with more time in the oven.
@@animegaming4057 I remember hearing this exact same thing verbatim back in 2015 when MGSV released. Some things never change. AAA isn't a standard anymore. Poor development and management practices are. These silly people never get the message.
@@georgiaboi7193 "Poor developers, they only had the better part of a decade and millions, if not billions of dollars to use and still failed to make a working video game. They deserved better because of those evil publishers. Grr!!" I want these developers and people like them to be rehabilitated for lacking such basic cognitive and motor skills. They have spent the better part of a decade systematically explaining their inability to perform basic work in one of the least intensive entertainment industries imaginable. I'm shocked they can even get out of bed in the morning, much less put together so many words, or even operate a social media account. If they worked any other job, they'd probably die before they could even get dressed due to the physical exhaustion their bones would have trying to put on their shoes. If they ever work at McDonald's, someone let me know, that'd be entertainment executed at its finest right there.
@antynomity You clearly watched a video essay and thought it was even remotely true. You wasted your time, and you deserve to be reprimanded for copy pasting a generic conclusion for any generic game from a generic person on the internet who thinks they're smart by saying blanket and vague things without any substance or commitment. You might be a good AAA game writer, I hear they say and do stupid things too.
It feels like they're trying to make Payday 3 more serious. And I feel like the most clear example of this is the skills. There is no Inspire, no Swan Song, there is no Die Hard, and there isn't any unique perks. Instead we get bland uninspired perks centering around three negligible buffs. What fucking happened?
In pd2 you built your inventory with the money you gained from the heist you played. In pd3 it seems like you work and heist for nothing because you can't buy shit but instead have to gain xp to get shit. Why would I rob a bank if I can't buy stuff with that money? doesn't even make sense
I know this is gonna sound out of subject but... If Payday 3 is in such a disappointing bare bones state...Imagine how Killing Floor 3 is gonna be like.
Great video, I was baffled at the quality of this video with only 57 subs, anyway payday 3 is just another example of how uninspired gaming is in today's age, payday 2 was an absolute masterpiece
Thank you so much man, it means a ton that you enjoyed my video. I really appreciate you checking it out! The quality of games on release has certainly declined. Missing the days when developers would release a complete game and continue to support it AFTER finishing it, like Halo 3 and the like.
They shouldve just re-released payday 2 on the engine they used for 3 anyway, named it just Payday with all content from 2 and then used that as a foundation and keep adding onto that
I feel legitimately robbed by Starbreeze, especially as I basically played 2 heists before going over the play time to get a refund. Most of that time was spent waiting for games that never started. I didn't spot just how much was missing, or how unrewarding the progression system is, until it was too late. Starbreeze are the real heisters.
I feel legitimately robbed by half the games I buy these days. The video game industry is unfortunately a very shady industry full of a bunch of liars who do not mind pulling a fable on you. By Fable I mean the video game, it is much love today but you go ahead and hear the kind of BS they were spouting would be in the game at launch.
Monster hunter games did an amazing job giving us a lobby where you can set up for the next mission, pd3 should have done something like this with the new safe house.
My biggest complaint with PD3 is they made a nice little lockpick game instead of holding a button... but have you stand in a small circle for hacking wifi signals for 10 secs. Standing in a circle is not a fun mechanic. Give me a DDR to play to speed up the hack or something. Some heists you have to stand in multiple circles multiple times. It's the slowest and most boring part of these heists
True! A lot of them you are sitting still in the open just to be shot at by cops, which is not exactly a great design choice. They should definitely implement a way to speed those up. Thanks for watching and commenting!
PD2 had a lot of problems at launch too, but PD3 was obviously a lot more rushed, i mean its a whole new engine and all new assets never mind how far from being optimized any of it is.
Agreed! Something I don't understand, and I don't mean to be an armchair developer or anything, is the file size. Warframe is a game I have been playing for around a decade and their compression is fantastic! The game has been running for over ten years and a couple years ago they used some techniques to reduce the size from like 50 gb to its current size of around 20. I don't really understand why more developers don't use said techniques. But yea along with that I do agree that it feels rushed. Thanks for checking out my stuff!
@@orngememes I'm a person that works with people in the industry and almost every single modern gaming studio literally does not use compression anymore, at all. Most devs that are hired now by studios don't even have any knowledge in working with this kind of tech. They're just people that know how to use unreal engine and that's it. Sometimes only the basic features. Battlefield 1 is to this day the best looking "realistic" game ever made. Every single area of any map is lit beautifully and the texture work is extremely photo realistic. And this is achieved without any ray tracing or other modern cheat techniques. It's just pure effort. The game in total is 80 GB with tons of content and can run over 144fps on max settings on a 1650. Meanwhile games like Alan Wake 2 are 200 GB in size and run badly on a 3090.
Ray tracing is not a cheat technique it is a technology. Furthermore using one video game engine over the other does not equivalate for a better game. You suggest because they have to work harder somehow this is smarter? I'm not sure this is the case. Though it is terrible that a majority of devs only know how to use unreal engine, the reason they are being picked up is because a lot of older that simply don't want to make the transition. Furthermore the reason this is actually a bad idea is because many devs who are willing to make the transition can learn how to use the engine fairly well and easily as it is quite the approachable engine these days. Another reason why many want to use the Unreal Engine is because it introduces top of the line technology that others would hide behind a massive paywall for various development groups. Unreal Engine is a free to use Engine with all features intact. This gives the highly risky development process a bit of Runway as they do not have to spend just to get their hands on the tech.
I was originally okay with just 8 heists. In all honesty, I am a bit of a quality over quantity type of guy. I played the shit out of PAYDAY 2, its my second most played game on steam, and I have to say that while we have tons of heists, not all of them are winners. Which is fair, of course, having around 80 or so heists there's bound to be a few lacking in polish and content. However, there's two major things missing in 3 which is downright baffling to me. Just having them would have absolutely improved their replayability. For starters, there's a very, very small amount of RNG variation. Objectives are extremely static, especially in Loud. They very, very rarely change or have unexpected changes that make you switch plans on the spot. The best it has is swapping rooms around in the same area so you don't make a beeline to the security room or something. As much as it's disliked, GO Bank had a very interesting quirk about it, that it had a ton of variation, from who called in, to the infamous 5% chance of the Open Vault. PAYDAY 3 had the chance to expand on this so so much, especially having a very small heist list. What if, for example, Rock The Cradle had a famous DJ that night, causing security to be much tighter, but you got a chance at more loot? What if the van in Road Rage happened to carry a volatile set of minerals that could explode if damaged too much, but extremely valuable? Or hey, as annoying as they could get, what if you had a unique escape mission that had a chance of triggering if you didn't take out the FBI van or something? Simple, yet game-changing variety that keeps you on your toes and makes every heist have that unexpected modifier that makes every run different from the last. That aside - what happened to the multiple day heists? They felt like a journey, a very high risk high reward set of heists that made you feel like you were doing something major. You were pulling jobs that were way higher in the ranks of crime, you were helping drug lords, corrupt politicians - all little things that made those heists greater than the sum of their parts. They felt like massive plans, each day influencing what happened the next, giving you even MORE variety to play with. Rats could go south very easily, but purposefully burning the lab, killing the gangsters and forfeiting the information just to pick up a sniper and kill the Mendozas in a shot or two was an actual way to finish the heist in a few minutes. Or, you could have done things right, cooked tons of meth and even then you could get betrayed, or even ambushed by the police. There's so much you can do with having multi-stage heists, and it's sad that we're yet to see this happen, when it was such a key part of PAYDAY 2. My point is, you *can* work with 8 heists, you don't need a hundred. But you have to keep them varied, have unexpected things happening to keep you engaged. Otherwise... you get this. Very repetitive rooms to shoot and loot.
Overkill weapons are so fucking stupid. You never see anyone use them, often times youll just call them in and forgot you did so. Making the passive progression system your main active progression is beyond astounding. Casing mode has improved while every other aspect of stealth has been gutted. Customization leaves a famished desire unsatisfied. Ui is poopy water.
Payday 2 is a game about heisting. And Payday 3 is an online shooter. And not even a good one. I usually have my emotions in check, but even thinking about Payday 3 is making me mad af. I'm so angry, if I would meet Almir I would pull his nose off his face.
Yeah, I loved the live action opening, it was great seeing them pull clips from the actual several part live-action series they made. Obviously not giving half that effort on the 3rd game.
"Isn't the point of a new game to improve on the previous" in the past yes, now the point is just to resell you everything from the old game once again
Yeah. Good thing I didn't bite on this one. The UI in coh3 was a massive downgrade from 2, too. Plenty of errors in icons and text as well persisting for months. No medal collection, either. I've had comments complain that they shouldn't "copy and paste" elements for a new game, but I've always been perplexed that teams fail to keep parity with past iterations of games. While preplanning needed a lot of work in my eyes having mostly played the earlier pd2 hiests, the fact that there isn't just the bare minium of changing entrance/exit routes and one objective approach to add replay value (code rng isn't enough) is just disappointing.
People always dog me when I make the statement “all they had to do was copy payday 2 and add to it”. Like bruh they had the cheat codes and didn’t use them
the bridge map is probably the most depressing of them all. That and 99 boxes. They are so empty and bland.. -dx12 -high apparently fixes the shaders stutters. Also those devs have mental challenges to believe we will play a map 40 times for 160 xp. It has to be a joke...
@@epicidex1006 Yes it does, nobody’s forcing you to play the same maps over and over to get 150 completions. If you feel that you have to just for the in-game challenge, that’s on you

considering payday 2 was all but abandoned on PS4 and Xbox 1 and after 3 years was finally updated, im not surprised the developers took the lazy way out.
I honestly didnt realize just how much of a toned down PD2 Clone this game is. Its been a long time since i was last into payday 2 so i kind of forgot a bunch of the features the game had
The liberty mask bug has been in the game since early access. I encountered it day 1 of early access, because any game that doesn't use DX12 by default, I swap over to DX12 in the launch options myself.
they could make the safe house as a menu, where u look at terminal for missions...all the boys join in and when all are ready, we hop into the Van and it take us to the loading screen, extra bonus if they do briefing while in loading screen, like Darktide.
I feel that devs nowadays see their job... as that. A job. Not a passion, not something you are deeply involved with, but just a job. You want to get it done and go back home. They're also not players. Any player who plays the current version of the game will be able to point out those many flaws that are easily corrected. I'm not sure you spoke about in your video, but for example, the ability to name your loadouts. That's coded in 5 minutes. They didn't play their own game or they would have feel how frustrating the progression system is. We need to sit in a bathroom and kill a dumb AI for hours to be able to level up. You do a successful entire heist that can take half an hour or more and you get 0xp. If it was their first game.. I could have understood, but they had such an amazing base to work on. At this point it would have been better for them to release "Payday 2 Remastered" with a cleaner interface, updating the engine to the same they used to payday 3 and it would have been a 100x better game.
Yep, whenever I see comments like this I think about the Halo 3 documentary. It was just so cool to see how the developers talked about and played their game. It looked as if they were developing the multiplier and adding things just so that they could have more fun playing it with each other. There was so much passion and love behind it which turned it into such a great game. I have found it hard to come across a similar atmosphere today, though it is less common to see development documentaries. Like you said, game development seems much less about making a good game nowadays and more like making a game that will sell, forgetting that if you put the work and time in, a good game will sell much more.
No skill tree with just lame perk decks is the killer for me. A new game should be an upgrade from the old one, not a downgrade due to cut content. What made Payday 2 so fun for me was being able to make dozens of builds and theory craft powerful gameplay options. It’s so dumbed down into a wannabe battle2024/COD game that it’s missing what made it unique. The only reason to cut RPG elements would be for balance on a PVP multiplayer game, which makes me think the foundation of this was ripped from that & the devs got lazy with it.
Payday 2 was rough at launch, but 3 is such a downgrade in every way when your not actually in a heist. I have no idea how they threw the 10 years of knowledge from 2 into the garbage
Dude I’ve never played Payday, any of them, but this showed up in my feed so I clicked on it because it sounded interesting. This is a phenomenal video. The voiceover is nice, and you demonstrate your points clearly. There’s nothing I disagree with because I’m not at all familiar with any of this lol. Big Ups! This video is a good time.
Overkill carried the Payday series. Starbreeze. This is identical to the release of Back for Blood and Turtle Rock Studios, Turtle Rock didn't do much at all it was all the work of valve.
Doing max difficulty solo stealth heists was my favorite part of payday 2, so sad that Starbreeze basically did a Sims and just stripped all those years of dlc's and updates, slapped on a new coat of paint and released the skeleton covered in wet paint of a game expecting us to be happy with being drip-fed all of those core features over what I can imagine being the next 10 or so years.
Honestly, i knew it was over once i saw the logo reveal. Right then and there i had a hunch, it looked corporate and soulless, like a template you would show to your boss. Once i played the game, i wasn't expecting anything, but i was still disappointed. From the UI and cutscenes that look like mobile ads from early 2010s to characters models looking straight out of Payday 2. Hell, i even discovered they used like early 2000s sprites to populate the windows of the buildings looking down on the street. This entire game feels like a corporate prototype that you'd pitch to investors as an idea. They had the money, the had the time, they were supposed to learn from Payday 2 and yet none of it was put into proper use.
For the things you can bring into heists. I just saved up 4 million doing road rage a couple of times on hard and then bought 100 of each. Took a while because it reloaded after each purchase and I've noticed the longer you spam buy them the longer the loading takes. So eventually you gotta stop, quit out, and then go back to buying them. Had to do that 4 or 5 times to get all 400. Only to realize I really never use health or zipline bags but the one thing I'd really like to buy, the drop spot on road rage, you cannot buy. You randomly get one, I've done the hirst nearly 60 times and have only gotten 3 so it's not based on completions of the heist, so they might be level based which if that's the case then it's fucked up because when you hit max level you're locked out of getting new ones. It's also not based on time played or kills has I have WAY more play time on road rage and 3 for it but have 6 QR codes on dirty ice which I've only done loud once and stealth 16 times. I cant think of any other metric for them to use other than level. And that shoot for the bags makes very hard and overkill just a little bit easier, saves you a minute and a half waiting for to use the flare and get the chopper there. But I'm level 56 and have only gotten 3 so 9 by 150 is just a slap in the face.
that's because you get random Favours for OTHER heists. not the one you completed. it's a mechanic meant to make you do a variety of heists. they explained this in their live streams. so, that' swhy you have a bunch for dry ice. because you got them from grinding the other. even the few you got for road rage, you got them by completing other heists.
To get heist specific favors like the alternate drop on road rage you have to do ANY other heist besides road rage and you have a chance of getting it. Like if you wanted a favor on gold & sharke you'd have to complete any other heist and you have a chance of getting it.
One thing you missed talking about is the lack of variety in a heist. Ie the randomizations that can significantly change in the heist. Look at the basic bank heist in PD2. There's two different places the keycard can be at two locations. The security room can be at two places. The vault door can be at two different sides (one side forcing you to be more careful in stealth). The escape van can be at three different places. This can allow even a simple mission like bank heist into a more unpredictable and replayable mission. Compare that to PD3's bank heist. Only one vault location, 2 van locations, 1 (or two) security rooms, slightly different places for the deposit papers. Compared to PD2, it may have more depth in some places, however it is far more narrow in variety.
Yea I'm really hoping they implement these systems. I really do not know how they could choose to completely omit it from the game when it was so innovative for such an older game.
the pd3 bank heist has more variety than that tho. Keycards can change, QR Code can spawn or not, QR Code Location can be on different location (Switch room and the Lockers afaik), Cam Room can switch with the Objective room. Van is at the front in stealth and in Loud at the far end or at the alley. Electrical boxes can be different (loud). Wires to cut are different. Code is different. Sprinkler location can be different i think too. FBI Assault vehicle is either at the left or at the right infront of the bank afaik. Also if you want to include it: NPC Location and Paths are sometimes different: The middle floor Guard either moves clockwise or counter clockwise, the NPC on the couch infront of one of the keycard rooms is either there or not (not sure anymore if thats the case tho).
Don’t get me wrong, Payday 3 is not particularly bad or unpleasant to play on launch, but it lacks QoLs update and a lot of expectation features that the community craving for years, I won't say it’s bad, I rather state it as “not time yet”.
The inherent issue with Payday 3 is that there’s just no way a new release can compete with its predecessor who has 10+ years of content, now eventually this should sort itself out but it as it stands Payday 3 just doesn’t have a fraction of what Payday 2 had going for it.
it makes no sense to make another game in a series after 10 years and still have it launch with the same previous problems the other games had, this goes with the good features as well, makes no sense to launch without the features that were good in payday 2
I'm still baffled that people were excited about this game despite knowing we're in the "release now, fix it later" era of gaming. Online only? Check. Terrible servers? Check. Cut features? Check. No content? Check. Looks like a PS3 game? Check. Awful performance issues? You know they got that one. That was one of the first things they implemented. This game looks like Back 4 Blood but if the zombies were replaced with police.
I genuinely wonder if we had some sort of VTMB2 situation, wherein the people who actually knew what they were doing and how to make a game left between 2 and 3’s launch, leaving people woefully unprepared and simply not skilled enough to make a game like this Edit: I have since learned that this is exactly what happened lol rip payday
I never played previous payday games, so when I tried PD3 I was genuinely surprised that this game has such a big fan base. This game’s missing so many basic features that I found myself spending more time laughing at how many details were missing rather than getting into the heist. I tried multiple heists but nothing made me want to continue playing after the first one. Maybe I’ll give it another go in the future
Am in the same boat , never played a payday game , but after your analysis , I think I'll keep it that way. Shame it wasnt all that , feels like a waste of time and money in the end
Check out my most recent video: ua-cam.com/video/OnXS-SGQy48/v-deo.html In this one, I talk about how lighting effects the way you experience your favorite video games. Thanks for watching! One thing that I accidentally cut out from the video was about the loot notifications you would get when securing bags of loot, which is something they could easily add into Payday 3 and is sorely missed. I hope they implement this because it is annoying to have to double check and make sure the loot actually made it into the van or chopper or whatever. Also, a mistake I made was in complaining about DX12 crashing my game. As some people have mentioned I should not be complaining about an experimental feature being unstable, so my bad on that one haha. I was more focused on the FPS stability than making sure it doesn’t crash, but yea it’s kind of dumb of me to expect an experimental feature to not crash my game. Another edit, I am seeing a lot of people commenting something along the lines of, "Payday 2 was bad at launch so why are you mad that this game is the same way?" The reason is exactly as I have said in the video many times: a sequel should build upon the previous game, not be worse. That means this game should have improved upon the launch experience of Payday 2. If it was not ready to launch, why launch it? It just feels so undercooked to me. People also keep mentioning how I expect all these features to be in Payday 3. That is not the purpose of this video; I do not want a Payday 2: 2. I was just trying to demonstrate how much Payday 2 has now in comparison to Payday 3. I was frustrated that they would have such a barebones launch experience when they built up one of the best games of all time in Payday 2. It was just jarring to go from that to this empty feeling game. Once again, to be clear, I do not expect all of the features listed to be put into Payday 3, I just wanted to show you guys how content rich Payday 2 was and then compare it to how little there is in the current state of Payday 3.
With a decade, you’d think they’d have 100 maps and guns bare minimum. Lord Coxton knows they had too many to count in the last game. Glad I got Payday 2 for free. I might have to play it some more now.
I dont think its a mistake complaining about a DX12 crashing your game they should have supported DX12 from the start as its quite standard these days for new games loved the review keep it up!
@@2000gijs Terrible performance for games that stopped pushing any graphical limits since 2015 should not be a standard, period. I'm appalled graphics have actually been getting worse with better hardware and tech due to developers being scared that games that don't look pristine and cartoonishly sterile won't appeal to Little Timmy who plays M rated games anyways. When Batman Arkham Knight and Battlefield 4 still have better looking cities after almost a decade, and run better with more going on, that says everything right there.
There are no loot pop ups because all additional lootbags and money you pick up is worth almost nothing. There is litteraly no point to grab more than the required amout of loot
I don't want Payday 3 to be Payday 2 eith better graphics, but there's a lot of basic stuff that should have been the same. The leveling system with challenges is horrific. It should have stayed the same. The game needs an offline option. Not just a private online lobby, a true offline option. Also, the objectives. They said they wanted to move away from 'go here, drill this". Instead it's become 'stand in this circle and then go stand in another'. It's not any different. If anything, it's stupider. The cops look so unoriginal and bland. Not to mention the specialty cops blend in cause their design in bland. CrimeNet needs to come back. Even if it's not called CrimeNet cause of the story. That style of menu needs to come back. I like the new skill system but only so much. I like the change in how you unlock them, but it's definitely leaving more to be desired. Stealth is so much deeper and it makes me want to try to stealth. PD2 stealth was way too janky so I never really tried it. The gameplay is Payday but everything else isn't Payday and makes the game unfun. So much stuff that was a staple for Payday is just gone.
On Payday 2 assets and Payday 3 assets, sometimes my assets are just completely grayed out and I can’t use them at all. Doesn’t matter what difficulty or heist it is, sometimes it will just not let me use my assets. I play on console, and one thing that REALLY makes me mad is that you’re forced to use the auto aim, and you can’t turn it off at all. Reason why I hate this? Every single time I ADS at a cop, my gun goes straight down to their crotch, I wish I was kidding. I despise the auto aim in this game, and the leveling system is simply a joke.
the end of heist payday thing should have been in Payday 3, like just reward players with a random asset so they can actually see them because that's another thing - when you get a asset drop from completing a heist there is no way of telling that you got it
Pd3 is great, until you remember pd2 still exists... I want to love the game, the loop is great, I actually like stealth changes, but this just feels so ridiculously scaled down.
I agree with you, I have fun during the heist then it ends and I see I got like no XP and I think to myself, "What did I do that for?" It just feels like money is not that useful in this game. If your game about stealing money does not give you much to spend your money on, there is an obvious problem. Thank you so much for the sub and for watching my video :)
@@orngememes yeah, that's the other thing, money feels kinda useless. There's so many pointless systems that just act as money sinks. The crypto, why? The individual gun customization blueprints? Why are they level locked even? 20.000.000$ shotgun skin?
Payday 3, game itself is still new. Can't expect to get same amount of things we have on Payday 2, on Payday 3 so fast. Their servers thou, they are bad, really bad. But...i do enjoy Payday 3. Doing challenges, leveling up. Still angry over that i didn't get absolut anythin for buying Gold Edition. Whatever now. I am infamy 101 and having fun. Don't give a sh*t about glam much or graphic. I am old school gamer. Looking forward to see what thet will add on Payday 3 in future. Btw...music on Payday 2 is far far far far better than ones we have on Payday 3. Even Payday 1 have better music. Have a great day Heisters😎❤️
It baffles me that this game can launch with so much LESS content then Payday 2 and be considered a "sequel". Yes i get it the game is on a new engine and has to start from square one, but here is a crazy idea that is so out there you will probably think i'm insane but maybe just don't release the game until its ready? Games releasing like this is part of the reason modern gaming sucks so much penis.
they took the soul out of payday 2 and called it a new game. Payday 2 looks and feels PASSIONATELY made. They have an entire live action web series ffs! payday 3 was made for the money. Thats it. When I played the beta, i could tell from the start. A weird but obvious thing that ticked me off was the interact button. Its just a key that fills up now. Its so fucking LAME. The health, ammo, teammates, everything looks so boring compared to pd2. Man it makes me so sad how they destroyed this game.
I spent my Payday 3 playtime insisting that “yeah, the last weapon unlock was underwhelming, but surly the next one will be good” only to find that every weapon outside the M14 and revolver felt like Airsoft guns.
i hate that the devs are using the excuse "the feature wasn't in payday 2 at launch so it's not here at launch" the devs are amazing, but holy sht is this a poor excuse
Well something that was done horribly in both games, that didnt get better or worse, is controller friendliness. 10 years ago the aiming on controller felt janky af and 10 years later its just as bad. Only thing we can change is sensitivity. No deadzone, no acceleration, no response curve.. only sense. I HAVE been told by a pc friend that you could change controller settings more on pc however (im playing on ps5). This is almost worse seeing as the settings were put into the game but for the WRONG platform *sigh*
Oh they were? I have not checked the controller tab but your friend might just be talking about the Steam settings. If you play Payday 3 on Steam, then the Steam menu has a bunch of controller options such as dead zone. Sorry about that man, I have never played this game with a controller so I cannot comment, but it's annoying that they are feeding the controller players. Thanks for watching man.
I’ll be honest, my biggest missed feature from payday 2 is the ability to mark more than one thing at a time. It’s nice and all that I can mark civilians but why can’t I mark a camera and a guard at the same time
Another thing about there being no offline, if you are a bozo like me with a PC That takes eons to load into a match/server via the loading screen, you'll be disconnected from the server after exceeding X amount of time in the loading screen, Other Games like Squad or Hell Let Loose also do this to muh PC if I'm stuck loading for too long. Meaning since PD3 Is Online Only, you litterally can't play it at all if you don't have a SSD/Good Enough Specs to Load in fast, Even if hypothetically you can run it okay after you finish loading in.
@@brokenmartin4861 Specs for Reference: CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3500 6-Core Processor GPU: NVIDA GeForceGTX 1650 Disk: Some HDD Drive (Varying MS up to 300MS Response Time) Amount of Ram: 8GB Of Ram (Windows reserves about 2GB for itself 24/7 so basically 6GB Avalible Ram, Not counting what Steam Uses when running in the background) Might be some other stuff that I'm forgetting but it's a Pre-Built PC that I can't even remember the price for. But yeah I was trying to say "If you don't have good enough specs or own a SSD then you might have troubles loading in which will then kick/drop you sometimes" I think it's probably ram usage combined with loading time, pretty sure it freezes up and the connection to the server drops because of the fact it froze, because of how resource intensive the loading is.
In defence of the ults. The equivelants of them in payday 2 put much larger restrictions on the users because they either had to sacrifice a primary or a secondary weapon slot permanently for a gadget. Ults sound more fun because you get a third gun. The none costimization though is bad. You liked the loot drop system of payday 2? That was one of the most infuriating systems ever before continental coins and cage packs became a thing because you could be missing x/y/z attachments from your new gun because you just didnt rng those drops. And the system didnt care that you had 500 mil in cash to pay.
great video, i love the detail you went into breaking down the missing features within payday 3, not worth paying full price till it's equal to payday 2 but with the new payday 3 systems.
The game doesnt even tell you how much money you're making when you secure loot. I thought that was the whole point of PAYDAY? To roleplay as bank robbers?
You have a more solid PC than me and it’s a laptop! I can’t stay at a solid 60 with all low graphics except for 2 which are on medium. This video is just amazing. Sadly many Payday fans would for some reason disagree with many of your opinions here.
As a solo player who put over 200 hours into the 360 and Xbox one versions of payday 2 mostly solo I uninstalled payday 3 after only a few hours on gamepass
If I could get a refund for the game I would unfortunately I preordered it on PlayStation because I trusted that it would have been a improvement from the previous game instead of a downgrade that costed more money while it might get better in the future I don’t have much hope since this game seems to be live service focused.
The thing that addicted me the most in payday 2 is grinding for infamy, I found myself enjoying cook off for like 2 hours straight with some music on and an absurd build that was beyond broken and dealt 400%+ dmg and literally deleted enemies in DW in payday 3 I actually have to use my brain and get no cool looking infamy cards to flex on the lobby with my friends plus I absolutely hate the challenges system I liked when I could mindlessly grind for hours with some music on and have the whole progression system completely detached from core gameplay.
I agree with practicaly everything said in this video. The video it self is very well made hovewer it was sometimes too quiet for me. I just think that adding some music into the background (if there was one I didn't hear it) would have been an improvement. Keep it up and do more stuff like this
One of the worst arguments that I ever heard has been “Payday 2 didn’t have all these quality of live changes at launch so Payday 3 doesn’t need to have them.” Like are you kidding me? It’s almost like a sequel is supposed to be a continuation that improves on the past title(s)
You will see plenty of those arguments in this comment section 😅 thanks for watching man
I get that argument about the content, but not about basic shit like UI (e.g. weapon stat bars) to further load onto that:
The removal of going black/white when on the last down has gotten ne in jail more often then I'd like to admit...
I agree. I think it isn't fair to judge the lack of things like the number of attachments, but it *is* absolutely fair to ask "wtf, where are all the systems that made PD2 successful?" as you'd think they would have tried to have systems in place so that it's not so jarring for their player base to move to the new game
I cut them a little slack cuz the game has had 10 years of feedback but literally none of the features?!?! That’s ridiculous
this trend in modern gaming absolute infuriates me to no end.
I'm secretly praying they either bring back GenSec SWAT, or (I HOPE THEY DO) Zeal Team
I do prefer that the cops look the same on all difficulties
I always felt that the difficulty uniforms were kinda dumb
If they do bring back FBI, GenSec, and ZEAL, they should be heist-specific. FBI when raiding FBI offices and such, GenSec for GenSec-owned or protected properties, idk what to do for ZEAL, just replace them with National Guard for all I care.
@@tangerinepaint3643i think FBI swats should spawn when the FBI van is around

Payday 3 made me play payday 2
Payday 3 made me realize that no matter how many garbage live service games there are there's still way too many people who will buy them and defend all the issues. Those people deserve to be scammed by Nigerian Princes.
Payday 2 made me stay on Payday 1
@@andrewbrowne7831Yup Payday 2 in 2014 was pretty barebones compared to now

mf money is more useful in payday 3
It's not mentioned here, but something that Payday 3 does is have the weapon stats be in bars and kind of vague in terms of what it does. Fun fact: Payday 2 *used* to do this, but they changed it to what we have now, and it's so much better having clear numbers to everything rather than "you have half a bar of ROF". Also, in terms of weapons and UX, "Recoil", "Stability", and "Handling" could all mean the same thing.
And gun kick. I've wondered what the difference between recoil and gun kick were.
And some attachments do the opposite of what would make sense. The cqc barrel for the mk14 increases damage while shortening the barrel. How??
I thought it is
Recoil- upward force
Stability- left right variation sway while moving and left right recoil control
Handling-weapon ready-time
Gun kick- visual recoil punch in ads.
Granted gun kick is usually lumped in handling or stability in most games but it actually pretty uniform across the board when it comes to different games and the meanings.
And they don’t usually give the detailed stats as to shroud the “meta” builds a bit.
This is a game that feels like the devs learned NOTHING from the previous 2 titles.
That is exactly what I was going for with this video! Wish I could have put it that way haha thanks for watching.
To be fair the original developers were long gone since PDTH (Dallas and Houston faces from PD1 and Wolf and Bain from PD2). So the devs that knew something were not there in the first place.
@@aluisiofsjr Now we wait for Den Of Wolves
The starting pistol has a suppressor available for free at the beginning of the game
Bring back the comically large spoon
@@orngememesa lot with rush counts towards stealth as well though, for example being able to run past cameras if you have rush in private areas, non guards not caring if you do illegal things, I mean you can stealth steal the entirety of the front of the jewelry store with the second one

Some other things to think about is how little variety in things there are in Payday 3, even compared to Payday 2 on release when it came to weapons and masks:
Payday 2 on launch:
9 Assault rifles, in four different classes, AR, BR, DMR, MR
3 primary shotguns, A pump action, a semi auto, and a double barrel one
One special primary, the Saw
6 secondary submachine guns, in 3 classes
6 secondary pistols, in 6 different damage classes
1 secondary shotgun
38 normal masks
12 Infamous quality masks
Payday 3 on launch:
4 Assault rifles
2 Marksman rifles (Technically one Marksman rifle, one bolt action rifle)
3 submachine guns (Primary this time)
2 shotguns (One pump, one double barrel)
5 secondary pistols (2 revolvers, 3 normal)
25 normal masks
let's not forget that payday3 has less heists right now than release payday 2 (8 vs 11)
Haha this comment made me cackle XD that's actually such a good story to demonstrate how thematic Payday 2's UI was. Thanks for watching!
It's a lesser game at its core
The ai in Payday The Heist were more dynamic.
"I havent tried it, so its impossible"
This game deserved better. The devs clearly didnt have the time to make the game finished, gameplay at its basics is superb, the feedback for gunplay is for the most part awesome, yet theres so many issues that could have been avoided with more time in the oven.
How much time do they need? The game was in development for 7 years? 7 years to create 8 maps?
@@animegaming4057 I remember hearing this exact same thing verbatim back in 2015 when MGSV released. Some things never change. AAA isn't a standard anymore. Poor development and management practices are. These silly people never get the message.

@@georgiaboi7193 "Poor developers, they only had the better part of a decade and millions, if not billions of dollars to use and still failed to make a working video game. They deserved better because of those evil publishers. Grr!!"
I want these developers and people like them to be rehabilitated for lacking such basic cognitive and motor skills.
It wasn't just an opener it was an entire series you can watch and i highly recommend you do so!
I don't, that series was just a collection of live action cutscenes and never made it into the game. OR at least they played like they were.
The pregame screen looks like a roblox game
Missing the days when developers would release a complete game and continue to support it AFTER finishing it, like Halo 3 and the like.
after 10 years, dont forget that
@@ChaoticMess5618 ofc I don’t doubt payday 3 will get better it’s just the overall quality of games nowadays has dropped drastically
@@Juaph I do also see that too, fair enough
I didn't realize how much I was missing. Payday 3 is the only game in the franchise I've played, and I only played since it was on game pass.
First game I have ever seen where people are playing older versions more than the latest version. 💀
BF2042 was like that too, not sure about now.
Based
I never really got into Payday, but you're making me want to check out Payday 2 again. I'll continue to ignore 3.
Yeah, I loved the live action opening, it was great seeing them pull clips from the actual several part live-action series they made. Obviously not giving half that effort on the 3rd game.
Its Jpegs now 😂😂😂 i skipped them all
"Isn't the point of a new game to improve on the previous" in the past yes, now the point is just to resell you everything from the old game once again
Like bruh they had the cheat codes and didn’t use them
We could just play payday 2 instead. Something unique is better
I’d rather play payday 2 and pay someone to mod in better graphics
the bridge map is probably the most depressing of them all. That and 99 boxes. They are so empty and bland..
-dx12 -high apparently fixes the shaders stutters.
Also those devs have mental challenges to believe we will play a map 40 times for 160 xp. It has to be a joke...
Don’t grind the maps, just play whatever and eventually you’ll get those challenges
@@IAmUnderscorestops working after you level up a bit

It feels like they tried to have a mix of Payday 1 and 2 mechanics implemented in Payday 3. Unfortunately it fails worse than I did in high school.
they could make the safe house as a menu, where u look at terminal for missions...all the boys join in and when all are ready, we hop into the Van and it take us to the loading screen, extra bonus if they do briefing while in loading screen, like Darktide.
The removal of actual diverse skill trees and the concealment mechanic just pissed me off.
Yeah I was playing Payday 2 last night thinking to myself “How the hell did we go from this to 10% bonuses?”
They really just did not care.
A very in-depth video, well done. I don't care much for Payday, I just wanted to know why another trainwreck of a live service game went up in flames.
Thank you so much! This comment really lifted my spirits :) I am glad you enjoyed. Thanks for watching and have a good day!
Overkill carried the Payday series. Starbreeze. This is identical to the release of Back for Blood and Turtle Rock Studios, Turtle Rock didn't do much at all it was all the work of valve.
the fact that you play on a laptop is nice, it’s relatable!
They removed so much to add so little
Doing max difficulty solo stealth heists was my favorite part of payday 2, so sad that Starbreeze basically did a Sims and just stripped all those years of dlc's and updates, slapped on a new coat of paint and released the skeleton covered in wet paint of a game expecting us to be happy with being drip-fed all of those core features over what I can imagine being the next 10 or so years.
I wish it was more like Payday 2
I know they wanna try to make it real but the things in Payday 2 made it unique
Ok, now imagine if, instead of making payday 3, they updated and tried to optimize payday 2 on console
it makes no sense to make another game in a series after 10 years and still have it launch with the same previous problems the other games had, this goes with the good features as well, makes no sense to launch without the features that were good in payday 2

I genuinely wonder if we had some sort of VTMB2 situation, wherein the people who actually knew what they were doing and how to make a game left between 2 and 3’s launch, leaving people woefully unprepared and simply not skilled enough to make a game like this
Edit: I have since learned that this is exactly what happened lol rip payday
I never played previous payday games, so when I tried PD3 I was genuinely surprised that this game has such a big fan base. This game’s missing so many basic features that I found myself spending more time laughing at how many details were missing rather than getting into the heist. I tried multiple heists but nothing made me want to continue playing after the first one. Maybe I’ll give it another go in the future
Am in the same boat , never played a payday game , but after your analysis , I think I'll keep it that way. Shame it wasnt all that , feels like a waste of time and money in the end
Check out my most recent video: ua-cam.com/video/OnXS-SGQy48/v-deo.html
In this one, I talk about how lighting effects the way you experience your favorite video games.
In nvidia contro😢panel change the resolution from 1080 native to 1600x900
You won't notice a difference Quality wise and it helps frames alot imo
Big papa really went crazy on this one.
Plz keep the longer videos this one was great can wait to see your channel grow
the end of heist payday thing should have been in Payday 3, like just reward players with a random asset so they can actually see them because that's another thing - when you get a asset drop from completing a heist there is no way of telling that you got it
Pd3 is great, until you remember pd2 still exists...
I personally hated the way PD2 missions worked, like that always felt so random to me not having any mission available
Had absolutely no hope when this game was revealed forgot it existed till now
It baffles me that this game can launch with so much LESS content then Payday 2 and be considered a "sequel". Yes i get it the game is on a new engine and has to start from square one, but here is a crazy idea that is so out there you will probably think i'm insane but maybe just don't release the game until its ready? Games releasing like this is part of the reason modern gaming sucks so much penis.
My friend tried getting me to play this. Didn't do anything but garbage stealth for 2 hours. F payday
they took the soul out of payday 2 and called it a new game.
I spent my Payday 3 playtime insisting that “yeah, the last weapon unlock was underwhelming, but surly the next one will be good” only to find that every weapon outside the M14 and revolver felt like Airsoft guns.
i hate that the devs are using the excuse "the feature wasn't in payday 2 at launch so it's not here at launch"
the devs are amazing, but holy sht is this a poor excuse
This game sucks. Not even 50 percent finished. After a while there isn’t a reason to even play. So bad
Meaning since PD3 Is Online Only, you litterally can't play it at all if you don't have a SSD/Good Enough Specs to Load in fast, Even if hypothetically you can run it okay after you finish loading in.
i run the game on HDD with 32 GB of RAM (only uses 4 Gb in game) and i don't have problems with loadtimes
@@brokenmartin4861
Specs for Reference:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3500 6-Core Processor
GPU: NVIDA GeForceGTX 1650
Disk: Some HDD Drive (Varying MS up to 300MS Response Time)
Amount of Ram: 8GB Of Ram (Windows reserves about 2GB for itself 24/7 so basically 6GB Avalible Ram, Not counting what Steam Uses when running in the background)
Might be some other stuff that I'm forgetting but it's a Pre-Built PC that I can't even remember the price for.
But yeah I was trying to say "If you don't have good enough specs or own a SSD then you might have troubles loading in which will then kick/drop you sometimes"
I think it's probably ram usage combined with loading time, pretty sure it freezes up and the connection to the server drops because of the fact it froze, because of how resource intensive the loading is.
And the system didnt care that you had 500 mil in cash to pay.
tbh i am glad they removed concealment so many guns in Payday 2 is just the same stat. sometimes sniper have more con then pistol at base
Hey hey, this blew up, thanks for telling it like it is, i was flabbergasted to see how much is missing from P3.
great video, i love the detail you went into breaking down the missing features within payday 3, not worth paying full price till it's equal to payday 2 but with the new payday 3 systems.
Payday 2 suit, dodge, pistols build was the best fun I ever had in payday 2…
very well put together man
As a solo player who put over 200 hours into the 360 and Xbox one versions of payday 2 mostly solo
I uninstalled payday 3 after only a few hours on gamepass
If I could get a refund for the game I would unfortunately I preordered it on PlayStation because I trusted that it would have been a improvement from the previous game instead of a downgrade that costed more money while it might get better in the future I don’t have much hope since this game seems to be live service focused.
I decided to wait instead of getting it day 1 after hearing it was online only
I dodged a bullet lol
Keep it up and do more stuff like this
Payday 3: Nooo! Our server is too weak to run lots of solo lobbies!
Notoriety: Thanks, Roblox
