@@viankachetty1100 I self-studied for some AP tests which means taht I didn't take the class (otherwise the classes were all at my hs). I did have to pay for college classes but i also received a scholarship which covered part of it
Thank you so much for this information! You constantly want to help us with our academics and are always willing to give a helping hand. From outlining how to prepare for a test to showing how a high school student can publish their own book, you continue to inspire me, as a high school junior, to follow my biggest dreams.
Just curious, but do you have any tips in self-studying an AP subject? I am been interested in self-studying AP Biology, and I would to hear your advice. :)
I self studied off the prep books from Barron and PR! Read all the chapters, did all the end of chapter questions, supplemented with extra practice tests and google searches, and was pretty much golden!
Hi Iris, thank you so much for this!! I put the ACE to do list advice to use today and it definitely made a difference. Also, I couldn’t help but noticing while watching that you were using a lot of extensions. Just out of curiosity, do you have any recommendations for productivity extensions/programs/apps?? Do you have a specific system for planning and organizing your tasks/workload? really any tips would be appreciated ♡´・ᴗ・`♡
Have you ever gotten a four in an Ap class? I really wanted to get into an ivy league but I got a four on my aphg exam. Does that ruin my chances? Also when you practice for the exam, what other places do you find good practice tests to use. Thank you Ilysm!!
Yes I have and I submitted my 4s! It is not going to ruin your chances. I usually just do tests at the back of the Princeton review or barrons prep books
I am planning on taking the PSAT/NMSQT this upcoming October for an application, and was wondering- how much time should I study? Like how many months in total, and how many hours a day per week?
HAHAH I think I studied a solid 0 minutes. I don't think the PSAT matters unless you're looking to get the national merit scholarship. If you don't care, then don't study for it and spend your energy elsewhere. I would recommend maybe starting to study for the SAT (bc you will take that and it will impact your apps). If you study for the SAT, then the PSAT will be a piece of cake
@@irisfu6929 haha lol, i really don't want to study for the PSAT/NMSQT, but I am applying to Philips Exeter Academy and they require it lol, thank you 😄
@@davidgirma409 Ohhhhhh then that's a different story 😂well, I'd do a TON of practice tests (this is just all based off my experience with the SAT, bc I think the PSAT is more like SAT Jr.). Time yourself under test conditions and figure out why you're getting certain questions wrong. There's a formula to the PSAT questions such that it's not testing your knowledge but more you mastery of the test format. So master the format through a bunch fo practice tests, and you should be able to kill it!
Hey Iris! Thank you for all the amazing videos! I just have a question about the AP exam - are we allowed to access the notes taken on digital devices? Since I have all my notes on my laptop and I worry that we cannot leave the exam page (cuz I'm gonna use the same laptop where I stored my notes for the exam) Thank you so much!!! By the way I love all your videos!!
You literally need to type in google docs or notes and upload a file or copy the text into the exam, so I think they expect u to have diff browsers open

How did you take you AP classes? Were they online? How did you take college courses? Did you have to pay for it?

It’s a chrome extension called momentum!
Same here👋, I also don't shower a year before the exam! 🙃
I hope this is a joke...? 😳
I love your videos so much!! Please keep sharing your awesome tips and guidelines~~~ ❤
This is unrelated, but I was wondering if u submitted a resume to Stanford or just the activities section?

Can Stanford meet 100% need for low, low, low-income international students
You never know if it’ll be 100% until you get it, but it’ll definitely be at least 90-95%. Then u can negotiate and stuff
@@irisfu6929 btw if you know someone majoring in math can you please tell how he developed a spike in maths
