    Excellent shoutout. You are doing what the off road magazine should be doing. I’d get a subscription to them if they did comparisons like they did in the past. The magazine is more of a product showcase / advertisement for their friends companies. With that being said, I thought your vid was informative, entertaining and professional. Keep up the good work. 👍

      Thanks. I think the magazines just promote the companies that give them the most advertising dollars. I don't think they have much relevance in today's day and age.

    • @PNWEnduro
      @PNWEnduro  2 роки тому +1

      I tested the YZ250X last year, it did not rank high as I take into consideration how much improvement each bike gets over the previous model year. Not that it's a bad bike though. Last year I named the KTM 150xc-w as my top pick because it was a huge improvment over the 2019 edition.

    Funny, I ride a 2016 Husky TE250 and I'm not interested in any new bike...I've put time and money into it to get it setup for me and to keep it maintenanced. As it is, the bike runs like a top and does everything I could ask... Instead of buying a new bike, I'm going to give my ol' Husky a Billetron 38 carb as an upgrade for being good all year and ride it into the foreseeable future...

    • @PNWEnduro
      @PNWEnduro  2 роки тому +3

      Nothing wrong with that, it's a sold bike you have. I'm lucky to get to ride a lot of new bikes each year so it's fun to compare them. Also the bike review videos are by far the most popular vids I make so it helps grow the channel.

      @@carlatamanczyk3891 I wouldn't be too concerned about the TPI vs carb if I bought new. Both have their pros & cons... We have a big ride group with lots of carb and TPI bikes, both need to be "tuned" but once dialed in everyone is good to go.
      I'm hoping this Billetron38 turns out the be the best of both worlds 👍

      Could you guys explain why the Sherco is better than the KTM or Husqvarna, I'm very interested in getting one of these bikes in the near future, thanks! I've had a 2001 CR250 and definitely want a torquier enduro style two-stroke

    • @Drew79
      @Drew79 2 роки тому +2

      @@Justen1980 My personal opinion. The sherco from the factory has significantly better suspension than the KTM/Husqvarna line. IMO WP suspension sucks. The fuel injection feels flat and you really cannot tune the KTM / Husky without spending a lot of money and even then, still not as good. The sherco out performs the KTM / Husky, I can climb technical rocky mountains at low RPM in second gear and the bike tractors up everything. After I installed the smartCarb on my sherco the bike feels very similar to having a rekluse clutch without losing the natural clutch feel.

    • @PNWEnduro
      @PNWEnduro  2 роки тому +1

      @Justen1980 I prefer the power delivery of the carb bikes. The TPI bikes have their advantages for sure but to me they are not as fun to ride. The Sherco has better suspension and feels a bit smaller than the KTM brand bikes. TPI bikes are more complex and have been plagued by sensor failures for the past few model years. They do have the advantage of better fuel economy and compensation for elevation changes but that can be achieved on a Sherco by adding a SmartCarb. Most new dirt bikes these days are very good, just different models will appeal more to different riders.

    YZ125/250 because they're so easy and inexpensive to maintain and repair. The new 4 strokes are very impressive though, but unless you're serious about racing they're just too expensive to fix if something goes wrong and it will. The 2 strokes are using 70's tech and parts are still cheap and they can still hold their own against the 4 strokes with a good rider. The new 4 strokes are very impressive I have to admit

    Benefits of a hydro clutch have little to do with lightness. It's the precision and lack of stiction when you hold the lever halfway in and modulate it in an out just a minute amount. Cables bind, hydraulics are always smooth.

      In 2021 the Sherco 250/300 SE got a counterbalanced motor so that is the biggest difference. The new motor is also lighter and the transmission gearing was changed as well.
