"If you think you're promised tomorrow" is a homophone for "if you think your prom is tomorrow". The line before he says to rewind to the night before of high school dance. I think he means "prom night" as somebody's else career peak approaching, hence "you're promised tomorrow". But then, he proceeds saying "I'm about to fool you again" as in he's not gon let that happen again, he's still here.
You guys need to react to Eminem ft Conway - “bang” just make sure it’s the LEAKED VERSE. There’s 2 versions because Conway made him change his verse because Em went in on Joe Budden, MGK, Canibus, Ja Rule and puffy. Lol

Why does nobody do The Greatest? I think it's one of his best ever, if nothing else it's super bar heavy which makes for good reactions. The ring bar at the end still takes me out every time I hear it.
Also, in “somethings got to give, that’s for sure/shore”. To Shore something, is to reinforce it, so when something is about to ‘give’, it gets shored up. Hence, ‘that’s for shore’. Just got that, sick!
Yeah 2chainz gets slept on because people think that he's just like a mumble rapper by his sound...but that dude is a college graduate and knows how to f****** write raps. Also, if you listen to his old stuff, he pulled a 50 Cent and completely changed his style to get in the game. That guy is smart.

Y’all haven’t missed yet, keep shooting. I’ve seen 99.9% of Eminem’s reactions. I have yet to feel like watching a rerun from y’all. The genuineness of y’all’s is why reactions trended to the point of so many copy cat channels it lost its appeal and became gimmicky ie. frozen face, poorly timed walk offs and the obvious not first time hearing takes that we can clearly tell has been heard but still have no clue what’s going on. Sincerely one of y’all’s biggest fan, this is Stan.
Phresher was originally just suppose to do the chorus (I believe on the original version). Was asked if he had a verse, he lied and said yes. Went home and wrote one, came back to the studio the next day and laid it.
I forgot where but Phresher in an interview told the story of getting the call from Em and recoding the song etc. Think he basically had to come up w/ verse on the spot in the studio. He had thought he was just doing hook. Was a cool story, seemed a cool guy.
Yeah I'm not a super huge fan of his sound but I also recognize he seems like a good guy. I'd like to hear a couple more things from him...maybe I'll check it out and then make a decision but based on this song and the remix...ehh not too sure.
@@corylyonsmusic Yeah I get it. I like his sound but I also love Danny Brown’s verse on Detroit vs Everybody and I seem to be in the minority there too! It’s all subjective of course but good to give people a chance, especially when someone like Em sees something in him.
I figure Phresher was put on the song as a pallet cleanser between chains and Em… otherwise Em would have shown up chainz… Phresh in between them breaks it up and makes chainz’s versus sound better
You guys missed the "every cadence sounds the same" Those bars were done in the cadence that everyone copies and mocking at the same time. And this song was literally a warning to the industry and came out with Kamikaze.

Love the fact that Kamikaze came out shortly after this verse. Also, this is probably the version that was supposed to be on Revival. 2 Chainz was PISSED when the song was on the album without his verse. All the hate came rolling in, Em recorded his response and dropped this track. Also, check out Phresher shit before this. So this is what i found out about "How can I be Down." Eminem did attend the How Can I Be Down? conference. He went in 1997 to Miami, where he performed and showcased his skills in the hope of connecting with key industry figures. This was during a time when he was still trying to make a name for himself outside of Detroit. Although it didn’t immediately lead to his big break, it helped him gain some attention within the industry. Shortly afterward, Eminem caught the attention of Dr. Dre after his Slim Shady EP made its way to the producer. This was the major turning point that eventually led to Eminem’s signing with Aftermath Entertainment and his rapid rise to stardom.
Did you know that 2 Chainz was in Disturbing tha Peace, Ludacris's Label, he was one half of the playa's circle, he was called titty boi, they did a song with lil Wayne called duffle bag boy
Phresher did a interview where he said he didn't know he was going to have a verse on the song and that he thought he was just doing the hook until he got to the studio and em ask if he had a verse he wanted to do so he wrote one really quick for the song.
21:03 plays on the idiom "wouldn't stand a snowballs chance in hell." He says you were spellbound, or in shock watching him go to hell rapping the way he does.
