I read a comment somewhere that the "riding around your side of the town for 9 hours and 45 minutes" was the total duration of Em's released discography. I haven't fact checked but the idea of Matthew riding around till Em's music stopped to go kill him adds to the greatness of this song. Love that you guys figured out it was Stan part 2 at the perfect time.
He does shit like that all the time Anytime he mentions a specific amount of time, there’s almost always a meaning behind it. I never checked myself, but apparently on MMLP after he says: *so I promised the fuckin critics I wouldn’t say “fuckin” for six minutes… *chika* six minutes slim shady you’re on” After that it’s 6 minutes from that line, into the next track when he says “fuckin” again
@@gagereed486One of another example of such detail numbers on his song never being random but very very specific is in his spng Space bound from recovery where in hook it's like "Two-hundred-fifty-thousand miles on a clear night in June" Two hundred fifty thousands miles is how much the distance it is(which is closest to earth) at that time in June in US and also moon is clear full at that time.
@@gagereed486 yup. Just checked. The challenge starts at the third verse of 'Remember me' and the next song is 'I'm Back' in which he says all kinds of crazy shit but not "fuckin". And on the next song 'Marshall Mathers' past the 6 min mark there are multiple "fuckin"s. So, yeah. He's the goat.
Also he goes "1, 2, 3... 1, 2, 3... 1, 2, 3... that ain't the hook, now follow me" way before the devil comes in on that Relapse bonus song (not gonna say the name because... spoiler, they might react to it) 1 + 2 + 3 = 6. So he said 6.. 6.. 6.

The Stan sequel that went relatively unnoticed. I feel like this song deserved a music video. Imagine the wild imagery it could've had with the car crashing in the water and the alter-ego speaking in the last verse.

The ive been driving around your side of town now for 9 hours etc is a nod to Ems catalog. Up to that point, that was the run time for Ems full catalog. So, Matthew was driving around listening to Ems catalog before going to kidnap him

The Stan sequel that went relatively unnoticed.
I feel like this song deserved a music video. Imagine the wild imagery it could've had with the car crashing in the water and the alter-ego speaking in the last verse.

That last verse was voted verse of the decade
knitter with a hard R hahahaha that had me dying!
