This is my favourite interpretation of this most beautiful of piano pieces. Evgeny Kissin has a wonderful touch. I much prefer this interpretation to just about any other. People rave about the likes of Khatia Buniatishvili playing this piece but she irritates me, in that she drags the playing down to a ponderously slow speed. Evgeny Kissin remains faithful to Debussy’s time signature, which to a purist like me, makes for a much more enjoyable experience. Thank you so much for posting.
I first was introduced to kissin's magical interpretations when he did the four Chopin ballads in the RFH he did two encores, one was lá Campanella and the other one I did not know. Was anyone there, who would know or remember what the piece was. For sure kissin would. I absolutely love his interpretations of Chopin, Rachmaninoff. I have taken so many people to see him playing live, every single one became a fan. Thank you Kissin for your dedication, communication and interpretations

I'm distracted by the cabinet is opening on its front and can't immerse in his music. Is it a style over substance? Dust must stack in thin rayer if you don't dust off once in a month...😕
Good try. But What if I were a super rich man and having a second piano itself for a style over substance? Apart from the first piano which I practice everytime so often that even the thin rayer of dust would never pile up.😕
