Hot Wheels & Matchbox were life savers when I was a kid. I imagine a large number of kids made it thru this past year because they had these same cars to help them escape the madness going on around them. Glad to see you back.

Man that red T-bird turned out nice. I use flat black paint like krylon or Rusty o leum. I like the look better than Redline shop top paint. I'm glad to see you back. I hope Jimmy returns as well!

double the resto, double the fun. :) two very lovely castings, nice and shiny again. :)
the eating-into-the-plastic seems to come when modelers' paints are thinned with nitro paint thinner instead of enamel paint thinner, and not thoroughly mixed. the nitro eats into polystyrene, and if one isn't careful it seeps into and underneath the windshields. in my time as a kid I found some "repainted" castings where the windows were glued solid to the casting from the thinner. there also was one where they washed off silver paint from the model, ruining the glass forever. (or hopefully not, I want to restore the thing one day...)
meanwhile, polystyrene glue is related to nitro paint thinner, except thickened down so it wouldn't flow everywhere.
