Love it great choice great car..?me and my neighbor kid ... we put our hot wheel tracks together... went from his bedroom threw their house out the front door.. down a long hill (we lived far out in the country of Indiana) across a stream and landed the cars in a volleyball sand court. We had enough track for side by side racing ,this car he’s restoring and a Córdoba type car were the heaviest so they would win against the light ones .. ha ha brought back a dusty old memory... thanks man !
Excellent prep and axle work. Really awesome paint job. I was hoping for dark blue cuz we had a dark blue Caddy like that when I was a kid. It was the best Caddy GM ever made imo. Thanks for the memories!
As always, the car turned out great! Very cool casting, that modified cadillac. I like that it still has an opening hood. the Pink works really well, making it a proper pink caddy
Beautiful job...the flat black grille brings it out more...I have a few of these cars I am gonna restore, the worst one I think I will play with putting on a full roof..metal work I love to do..👍
(Looks at video title..) Yes, you can. Can I have two Custom T-Birds? P.S. I like the 70's softcore porn music during the paint stripper sequence. And tell Jimmy I said hi :)
This channel is dope! Best one out there and I do watch a few! I look forward to every video you put out and you are an inspiration to me and so many. Great work buddy and keep um coming 😎👍
Posished up a couple of cars today. Going back with Pearled Green and Candy Grabber Orange. Both Camaro's 1971 and 2013 Copo. I use a grinder in my shop with a buffing wheel.
I first thought the hot pink would not work with the bronze interior, but was wrong. This is a very nice combination. Agree with others who commented about enjoying your videos. Now that the original Hot Wheels cars are 51 years old, I believe we are entering an era when restoration values will increase. They will be substituted for mint originals, because the prices of those - already high - will become astronomical. Personally, I prefer a restored original to the new castings now being placed on the pegs. In my opinion, so long as one uses screws and does not attempt to pass a restored car as original then there is no problem setting a price and allowing buyers to decide if that price is fair.
Hello, Dr. Diecast. I was hoping you were going to paint that car hot pink and it turned out fabulous, absolutely gorgeous. I would paint the front black but something with more gloss in it. I don’t think flat black would look good with that shiny hot pink. Love the job you did on it.
Fabulous color and a great paint job overall. Yes, the black grille looks a bit strange, but since it is the way it was done originally I suppose it is the best thing you could have done. Overall, a fine piece of work.
Hi bub.. A dime bag huh... Well maybe if it had kona bud or Panama red! But what a beautiful job you've done compadre! The hot pink really works on this car.. That is so BOSS dude!
I got a Blue One from 71, the Wheels are Intact, & Rolling Perfect, the Engine is Still Intact But Is Loose & Pops Out if it's Dropped, the Bubble Plastic Window is Gone, Still Holding On to It for the Last 48 Years, in My Hot Wheels Tire Case with Other Hot Wheels from the 70's.
Great work as usual. And yes loved the stripper music lol. Have you ever thought about doing a big rig ( semi ) ? Be sweet to do a custom show truck with maybe a candy or spectra flame paint work. And maybe incorporate your logo into it.
Whats the clear coat you use to mix with the spectra flame colour? Do you use the redline hardner when you mix this clear and colour combo? Really like your videos! got up the courage to give this resto stuff a try thanks and also learn how to use an airbrush. Your painting is awsome is there a video where you give us newbies a quick lesson? Thanks Chris.
Love your videos! Although I have a dumb question. I work on classic cars and pickups some, and my baby is a 1965 ford f100. I would love to have a 1/64th model of one, but I'm fairly sure that no one has made one. Any advice? Thanks!
Sugar..ohh Honey Honey Honey, you're my Sweet Caddddyy Girlll! whew! Brolamading Dong! that is some churrry looking paint and you can see the color shift this time, that is just a sweettt ride! Excellent work my Fiend! Remember Everyone..to like share and sub to the channel and don't forget dat murrrcchh andPatreon tho.
I have to say that the quality of your paintwork puts the other restorers to shame. Keep up the astoundingly good work!
Dime bags and ... mood music, you are a gem my man. Clearly we are of the same generation. You just bought yourself a new customer. Cheers.

Awesome! By far my favorite channel for this kind of stuff. Always great work.
Paint turned out great! Dime bag, lol 😆 Showing your age Austin 👍😎
More than half of the people here may not get what a dime bag is... Neither would I, if I hadn't gone searching Dimebag Darrell's name
Always enjoy your commentary. All your videos are entertaining. The vehicles look fantastic every time. Thanks.
As always, the car turned out great! Very cool casting, that modified cadillac. I like that it still has an opening hood. the Pink works really well, making it a proper pink caddy
Love this channel! Your sense of humor is awesome and really makes the restores fun. I could see Jimmy rollin in this pimpmobile!
Did you say dime bag 😂 I'm Dead good one 😂 keep it up bro
Yeah, he said I ripped my Dime Bag...
Well done. Love the colour
Paint looks great, nice job! I like the self tapping screws.

Awesome Restoration! Good to see that you used the pink.
Perfect music selection haha! Nice work!
Beautiful job...the flat black grille brings it out more...I have a few of these cars I am gonna restore, the worst one I think I will play with putting on a full roof..metal work I love to do..👍
Great job as always. Like that you polished the pits out before paint. Hate the way that new glass fits though. Sugar Caddy deserves better.
Blub blub blub blub, the pink looked bad ass on this build. Good choice
Freken awesome!! Love that pink color 😍👍🏽

1500 grit, was doing that just yesterday!!! Got a little heavy with clear and had to cut out a few runs!!! Love the color!!! Beautiful work!!!
Love that you got the funk out during paint stripping!
Duggar Caddy is really cool! I paint the flat black grill, but only the top part. That way it looks more like the 68 Eldorado
This channel is dope! Best one out there and I do watch a few! I look forward to every video you put out and you are an inspiration to me and so many. Great work buddy and keep um coming 😎👍
Thanks Arron brah
Amazing job! Love the black grill.

I usually don't like music but this is great back ground!
Amazing work. I like that color. Keep up the great work..
That is one pimped out Sugar Caddy, Ace , top job 👍
Freaking awesome , I love it when you do bright colours on these cars ! They’re too cool to do them in a dull boring colour
Paint came out awesome as always love the grill! Best feature
Excellent! A real fun video. I had no idea these old toys could be worth anywhere near that much. Dave
That colour is sweet! Polishing the base with a brass brush and flitz made it look factory mint. As usual another great job.
I haven't seen a car that Pimp since Super Fly! I can't get "I'm Your Pusherman" out of my head now! Lol
Interesting model, never seen it before. Came out sweet, a funky Cadi can definitely get away with the pink.
Love the hot pink, great choice of colour.
PIMPIN' ! Thanks for posting .
I like how it's like a cadillac drag or funny car but instead of a soft or hard top it's got a glass top. Sweet ride
Nice work mate. Are you still fulltimer or grabbed a day job?
I’m saving myself for a sugar Bentley 😜. Great job!
What a great looking car.well done fella love it
Posished up a couple of cars today. Going back with Pearled Green and Candy Grabber Orange. Both Camaro's 1971 and 2013 Copo. I use a grinder in my shop with a buffing wheel.
The Caddy is looking sick ! Truth is I didn't even know that model existed. I have to bone up on my Hot wheels history !
You are the best hotwheels restoration guy hands down

Pretty shweet indeed. I love that color. Great work!
Your color to clearcoat method has been working well in my opinion. Great work.

The Sugar Caddy rides again.

Jimmy blingin' in a Caddy... now that's some *SUGAR!!!*

How much is it?
@@paulwoodman5131 The auction's not over yet
I love this car. I want a real car like this one.

Hell yea pink caddy
That song you play at 2:20 sounds like the old Sanford and Son - Theme Song. 🤣
That's the music that played when Redd Foxx washed his posterior, with his special towel. #yougottawashyourass
Excellent 👌. How about for some crazy customs?
Pimping that Caddy Stone Cold Pimpin Jimmy Style

Nice work
That thing was on life support but it turned out great!
Looks great! It's a shame the after market glass didn't fit too well, though.
Thank you for making my day just that little bit happier! X
I love this channel!
