  • The first-ever high-definition version of BART's Transbay Tube journey into San Francisco --- this time aboard an 8-car San Francisco/Daly City train, as it departs West Oakland Station during the last hours of a sunny weekday afternoon in the Bay Area.
All but one of the transit agency's five lines roll through "The City by the Bay" in an underwater trip lasting 5-7 minutes each way. Some of the scenic sights on this journey include traveling over Interstate 880 and viewing the Port of Oakland from a short distance. West Oakland is the last East Bay stop for all trains headed into San Francisco and onto the peninsula. In total, San Francisco has eight BART stations, tied with Oakland for the most stops in the transit system.
