- This is one of the last runs of the Season held on the last day of Whistler Mountain Bike Park being open. A-Line was so Buff and smooth as the trail crew did a fantastic job grooming it before season shutdown. Great times and kinda sad that it had to end. Until next time sweet Bike Park! See you then.
ive watched this at least 20 times...i cant wait for the 2011 season to start...getting a bike this season...should be cheaper than renting everytime...soooooo stoked...great vid...helps pass the winter by quicker!!
I just got back from Whistler. That place is worth every penny! Nice video!
Great ride bud! Used to live in squamish, can't wait to get back to whistler and do some riding. These are great trails too.
So awesome. I am planing my first trip to whistler next summer. I ride in Santa Cruz mostly here in CA.
That should've been called gastric bypass. That made my stomach knot up. Awesome!!!!
Great job on the vid. Looks absolutely great.
huge trail... awesome video mate!
wow amazing video, this is the best vid of aline on youtube. thanks for uploading and nice choice of music!
Im going to Whistler in summer, i cant wait! flying business class aswell!
Absolutely amazing trail!
Looks so good, wish i could go over there
this video is soo nice dude !! really cool, i wanna go to whistler sooooo bad dude !!! :D
Nice run just have to love A-line
These guys are nearly as good as the trails!
ill be there in two days for 3 months . I cant wait for it :P
I told my dad that when I grow up I'll ride in Whistler no metter what!
this guy knuckles everything
great video guys
It can be done with a hardtail but you'll enjoy it a lot more on a full suspension. If you don't have one they can be rented in Whistler for like $100/day.
I want to go there very badly!!!
I'm here right now. Might try A-Line.
"Röyksopp - Remind Me (James Zabiela Eighties Ingeborg Mix)"
case, case, case, case ,case... good ride though. whistler is amazing
5:50, you'd be peaking stacking at the end!
Nice pumps man....
I wish we had this were I live, we have pretty much nothing but xc trails :(
nice video! I go downhill there every year
It really depends on what trails your riding, how well they`ve been looked after by the trail crew, and how the weather has been. Freeride(A-line-Dirt Merchant-Freight Train) is a little hard on the wrists but if the trail is sin good condition and it haunt been muddy or wet then its do-able. Bad weather=rougher trail. And you would not have fun on tech like Schleyer or Canadian Open. Me and my friends have ridden DH, Slope, Freeride, and Dirt Jumpers in the park, depends on the trails you ride.
Love it!!!
But some of those jumps looked huge!
Especially in spinal tap!
But I'd live to try it!
I only have a hard tail....
Would it be possible to do some of the trails at whistler with a hard tail??
I mean they look easy enough?? :D
And suuppppeer fun!!
@NotSureWhatToPut on my bucket list as well.
This vid makes the drop at 2:55 look small but it's not (not to me anyway). You guys make it look like a kerb haha
Thanks buddy! feel free to post a rating too! :D
I will ride this before I die
Awesome
i love videos of whistler. are there all types of skill levels trails there or is it more or less for the more experienced rider. I've ridden bikes all my life but nothing advanced. In ohio, and most of our trails are pretty flat. Looking to take a mountain bike vacation but don't want to waste the money if the all the trails are way above my level.
@Justin3515 in fact i do know something =D when i was at whistler they were renting out kona stab deluxes, i dont know the exact price but it was around 40 for half a day or something like that, you can find all the rates on the whistler bike park website, glad i could help =D

@LiangVids it would totally handle it, but if your going to ride stuff like whistler you really need to get a triple crown fork, I had the bighit 2 2009 and I got a boxxer and its like night and day now
the jump at like 2:55 was intense!
@Justin3515 yup there is easy does it and crank it up and some other easy trails, you'll be really happy just go there. =D
@Atomik05
I agree... unless its the camera but I don't think so
I WISH I LIVE IN CANADA!
tommorow morring..im riding (: WOOT!!!!
bravo
Cooool vid....
Is this considered as easy, medium, or difficult? Btw great video, nice jumps :)
A-Line
Just so you know, I hate you :P But seriously, whistler is awesome! I'm from Jasper and because it's a park, we can't use the mountain in the summer because it's a grizzly passageway. Funny though, I guess the Golf Course didn't affect the bears at all.... Oh well XC it is for me
@deone135 alot of good downhill mountain bikes are konas and a really high end gt is a nice bike
yes, its in B.C
Now its 8!
im going there this year i ride mount whasington normaly :P
Whistler, BC, Canada.
nice video. What bikes were u guys riding?
@FreerideDownhillMtb uhh are you sure? because i've never heard of a triple crown fork, only a double, and, btw, if i do add a double crown, it would void the lifetime warranty for the frame
Hayes Ryde Strokers but dont get them... Get a set of AVID brakes... talk to your local dealer on which model of AVID is best...
@SnowboardPowder I think you miss read the comment, deone said bikes not breaks, but good advise tho.
Bike wise i would deffinatly recomend the sunn radical, its awsome, watch my vid for a bit more detail
not these exact runs persay, these twist and turn through the heavily treed areas of whistler mountain, some biking runs use the ski run, but the majority are cut into the mountain, and therefore are not open for skiing and riding during the winter, unless your adventurous.
Was casing every landing part of your plan when you filmed this?
@matteussecondus @matteussecondus There are some hardcore hardtailers who ride Whistler but I think you would have more fun on a full suspension bike. I've ridden the bike park on a freeride and downhill bike and had a way better ride on the beefier downhill bike. Hope this helps.
@TheMegaPaintballer not at the top of the mountain, plus it looks early in the morning
on lower a-line is thare a ez way around the rock drop? or is it role able?
Is full suspension pretty much mandatory for this stuff or can you do it on a nice hardtail?
what kind of bike was the guy ahead of you riding the green/yellow one
Youe mean 10 Peoples!

i ride this every weekend
thimbws up if u saw the guy wipe out at 4:48
:
@SnowboardPowder no avid are good and light but believe me they fail in the very last moment if you don't bleeding it almost weekly the best brands are shimano and hope they don't have such problems as avid
Ive been there before :D
5 people still ride with their training wheels
@johnjo128 what kind of mountain biking are you doing?
@deone135
If you are just starting out I suggest you cheaper to midrange ($300-700) Cross Country bike to get used to riding on dirt rather than pavement, and check out some of the local trails in your area first. You should get som expeience before you jump into stuff like this.
@SnowboardPowder lol he said bikes not brakes..
5:49 LOL
i'm on the opposite side of the country from this course..... :(
i ride a specialized sx trail 1 2009. will it handle whistler?
Was your friend riding a hard tail?
was it cold??
Scott Voltage FR 10?
i did that already and im 12 years old
@Justin3515 honestly i dont think it would be worth it, kona makes a nice bike and whistler has great service so...
@jamesgi11 UA-cam anthem :P
@Connor2521 doo it its sooo goog
how fast are u goin
What do you use to edit?
@deone135 go with a set of code r or juicy 5s
Make that 11
why must i be on the other side of canada D:
This is canada?
5:50 lol
i just started mtbing and need a new bike, can anyone tell me where i can get a good starter bike for a good price ?????
@ethanrox1000 relax im riding a 2011 norco wolverine (hardtail) and in my country i am one of the fastest racers in hardtail dh group!!! its ok!!!! (sorry my english its too bad)jaja
