anybody who says this is sped up is not taking into account that this is Brian Lopes, one of the best four cross racers ever, he is able to do it so fast because he manuals a tiny bit into the jump and then before he gets to the lip he lifts up his rear tire and then turns his bike sideways in the air before taping his front wheel on the landing, that lets him hit it so fast and scrub the jump like crazy, he is such a crazy good rider
Man the last part of the trail is so F++++++ sick man, you ride so fast threw the really thin roads. Really awesome :D! Rest is okay, lotsa speed and lotsa respect for this man :D!
10 days of Awesomeness - Go Pro Hero 3 - After 28 hours of editing come watch and appreciate the carnage in this movie of my holiday to the Gold Coast, Australia. Filled with partying scenes , cageless shark diving, tubing, skydiving, flyboarding ect. Worth the watch! . All on the Go Pro Hero 3
o.O 0 Oh my God!! You are like the best rider I've ever had the honor to witness. Sir, you own my respect!! Thumbs up for the Hottie at the end, at the right side of the shot, she's astonihingly cute!!
@JakeTomphson1 that's because thats where a couple trails intersect and it's just a wide open place where they cut back in is the continuance of A-Line.
@HoganNightHawk I was thinking "that looks sweet would love to have a shred at that!" til i reached said bit!!!!!! Loving the way he just kept it quick.
Of course it is possible, have a look into Lopes' book where he describes this style of jumping - staying low and maintain maximum speed. No gravity rules broken here. Same for cornering.
I saw another video on here of a pro-am running this same line, and he goes thru that super rough section at about the same speed. i guess the fish-eye lens on the camera makes it appear crazier than it really is. They still did a splice in the video, but I don't think they sped up that section at 3:43 any more.
There's a fair amount of video editing in this. there's a splice right at 1:53 or so when the dude in front of him drops out, and if you watch in HD, you can see that they sped up the footage about 2x at 3:43-3:47 so the video would seem more exciting. it's still badass tho!!
Freaking awesome I'm not even sure I could make the run in 10 minutes but it sure would be fun. Video makes things look faster but I'm sure he is doing 30 or 40mph in a fews spots and its tight, time to get the mountain bike ready to go flying again. Thank you to the videographer
@blakestar166 to an extent, yes it's possible to go that fast. But you have to be on the right bike, the terrain has to be in your favor. And yes I agree with ya, I sit here in awe when i do watch this video, regardless if its sped up or not
For those suggesting "sped up" film...Have you ever heard of Brian Lopes? Do you know who he is and what he's done?! Suggesting he would have that done is like saying Usain Bolt pays the others to go slower! Lopes is just that good guys...deal with it.
@ajrun5k I thought that at first but watch the other riders on the other side of the tape/rail. They give you a reference point for speed. It is most definitely in real-time.
This might be a dumb question but are some points in the video clip sped up? It seems that at certain points in the video he is just going way too fast for even some of the best riders in the world to maintain control. Still though, sick rider and video.
from an mx racer to a dh biker, mad props, ive hit 160ft doubles and laughed, i would not hit that trail that hard on my mx bike or a mountain bike, also i think if i had stuff like that to hit every day i probably wouldn't ride mx, or atleast not as much
For those of you who think this is sped up, think again. Watch how they land after jumping, nice and soft and at a normal speed. This is for real. The Pro Downhillers are super fast. Go to a race and watch them through the high speed sections in person. They are crazy fast and much better athletes than most people think. They work hard on strength, conditioning, technique and mental focus just like any other professional athlete.
Are you really sure he's not a Fluffy Lipped Hipster? :) I rode these trails on my honeymoon with my wife on rental downhill bikes. About a 1/10 pace of this guy. Awesome and insane. Super!!
@no65mph Are you serious? That's entirely real speed. That's Brian Lopes, among the fastest pro downhill racers on the planet. A-Line is pretty tame compared to some of the world cup courses he's used to.
holy shit going 30moh down a dirt path with fat trees on each side thats crazy. freestyle is cool and all but holy shit i am impressed this is sick. this should be on tv
The forest section towards the end.. tight, fast and narrow.. I'd love to take my jump bike down that trail!
anybody who says this is sped up is not taking into account that this is Brian Lopes, one of the best four cross racers ever, he is able to do it so fast because he manuals a tiny bit into the jump and then before he gets to the lip he lifts up his rear tire and then turns his bike sideways in the air before taping his front wheel on the landing, that lets him hit it so fast and scrub the jump like crazy, he is such a crazy good rider
3:40 somebody hold me, my beer can do this.
This is by far the fastest A-Line vid I've seen... And I've seen a LOT.
3:40 was crazy I would be so scared to do this
Thats why the Whistler is the home of mountain biking.
Great video and amazing track and a bunch of lucky dudes
who get to ride such a class track.
I can't even think that fast
that just melted like 60% of my brain. That was incredible. Congrats to Brian for destroying everything like an effing bulldozer in the sandbox.
I can do that too.
Here, hold my beer...
And this folks is how your drunk uncle dies... Famous last words "Hold my beer!"
The GoPro channel is one of the best kept secrets on UA-cam
in italy we should demolish all football fields and build freeride tracks, dammit ;
*in the world
indeed.
This is the most awesome video i've seen in about a year!!!
Love those guys ! Just look how good are they ! This people are making this planet a better place !
I’m here now. This vid never gets old!!
Man the last part of the trail is so F++++++ sick man, you ride so fast threw the really thin roads. Really awesome :D! Rest is okay, lotsa speed and lotsa respect for this man :D!
Edge of the seat & I'm breathless after that, truly epic!
The final drop is truly amazing!!
you had my knuckles white from me gripping my chair so hard when you were going through the tight trees.. awesome man!!

this is one of the most amazing thing i ever seen!

Sir, you own my respect!!
Thumbs up for the Hottie at the end, at the right side of the shot, she's astonihingly cute!!
How is going through those trees that fast even possible.. That's insane!
Camera quality is awesome too. Good stuff.
3:41 is pretty sick. The tight turns in there at 3:46 between the trees was unbelievable.
That was crazy tight through those trees around the last minute, cant beleive you made it, u have some balls!
@JakeTomphson1 that's because thats where a couple trails intersect and it's just a wide open place where they cut back in is the continuance of A-Line.
Ι think you are the best Whistler downhill riderrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!
@HoganNightHawk I was thinking "that looks sweet would love to have a shred at that!" til i reached said bit!!!!!! Loving the way he just kept it quick.

Best. Soundtrack. Ever.
Seriously.
Man that was some serious speed. 3:40 was insane!
o melhor vídeo downhill da internet, o cara mandou muito bem
yup 3:40!!. big drop to the left & how he gets through the trees is awsome riding!!. Well the hole run looks amazing. ^_^...Great vid!!!.
GoPro needs more downhill mountain biking videos and more videos like these
Brian Lopes is my HERO!
It's amazing how he rides in the trees zone!
it looks UNREAL FAST!! OMG! Balls of steel
man i love this channel!
now that's mountain biking down hill style .Great job Guys
Freaking awesome I'm not even sure I could make the run in 10 minutes but it sure would be fun. Video makes things look faster but I'm sure he is doing 30 or 40mph in a fews spots and its tight, time to get the mountain bike ready to go flying again. Thank you to the videographer
@chris33694 no, it's not fast forwarded
@blakestar166
to an extent, yes it's possible to go that fast. But you have to be on the right bike, the terrain has to be in your favor. And yes I agree with ya, I sit here in awe when i do watch this video, regardless if its sped up or not
holy shit you must have ridden this route many times to know what comes around the corners, nice riding i wish i could do that
Lopes, Gracia, Hart and Reid would be one hell of a stylish train on Air DH!
Brian Lopes is a MONSTER!
Reason why it looks faster than many other videos is because GoPro shoot wide FOV image and it gives good and more realistic sense of speed.
Wow... Loved the second half. So FFFAAAASSSTTT!!!!
You can get a KTM Ratchet 2012 (with fox van and boxxer) for about 2000. And it's actually a very durable frame.
this is sick! I wish we had a place to do stuff like this where I'm from!
MAN ID SO GET INTO THIS SPORT IF WE HAD A GREAT TRACK LIKE THAT NEAR BY
AWESOME VIDEO GUYS!
CHEERS
Brian Lopes is such a boss!
OMG, I NEVER THOUGHT ANY BODY COULD RIDE A-LINE THAT FRICKEN FAST, I THINK GOD MADE THAT RUN
@SgtJak1665
i think, because he is a pro, he is using the propper locks for his weels.
alsow he would always check them, before he left ;)
Maybe the fastest downhill run I've ever seen.
Is that Gee wearing the camera? Either way, he is also a beast. Both are amazing riders.
thanks gopro now i am sitting here dazed dreaming about whistler this summer....
Holy crap!! That was INSANE!
For those suggesting "sped up" film...Have you ever heard of Brian Lopes? Do you know who he is and what he's done?! Suggesting he would have that done is like saying Usain Bolt pays the others to go slower! Lopes is just that good guys...deal with it.
OMG it's awesome!! It's Downhill!! Great Vid. 5/5
Beautiful Trail, beautiful riding
@VinKing6294 insane riding, the control needed at that part is mind blowing. Has anyone went faster through there?
Great biking right there, definitely gonna get one of these cameras.
He's a professional, and he knows that run like the back of his hand
@ajrun5k I thought that at first but watch the other riders on the other side of the tape/rail. They give you a reference point for speed.
It is most definitely in real-time.
OOOOOUUUUUUUHHHHHHH
Nice raider, nice track, nice cam, wery nice
GoPro!!!!!!
OMG, I thought I was alright at A-Line.....THATS crazy fast!!!!!!! Yea Lopes!!!
This might be a dumb question but are some points in the video clip sped up? It seems that at certain points in the video he is just going way too fast for even some of the best riders in the world to maintain control. Still though, sick rider and video.
This is freaken CRAZY.... I guess you trust your little tires and breaks to trees and rocky cliffs. HOLY $H!T.
Thats awesome! Looks like so much fun
from an mx racer to a dh biker, mad props, ive hit 160ft doubles and laughed, i would not hit that trail that hard on my mx bike or a mountain bike, also i think if i had stuff like that to hit every day i probably wouldn't ride mx, or atleast not as much
Yes, 3:40 is the place you should start watching ))
He must be a jedi and foresees the future, that's why his reaction is lightning.
@droxland...well...so it does! ;)
Thanx
Amazing ride, we watched it on our 42" tv, gave us chills!
Awesome track and awesome ride! :D

In Japan...A reality?? We are on the road to seeing a dream be born!!
at 3:31 he runs in to the thick and pulls it off amazingly!
Fantastic ride!! Great stuff!!
wow, that was so intense. he was going so fast through the narrow trees with loose dirt and a cliff on one side.
I can't believe my eyes...... soooo awesome!
Are you really sure he's not a Fluffy Lipped Hipster? :)
I rode these trails on my honeymoon with my wife on rental downhill bikes. About a 1/10 pace of this guy. Awesome and insane. Super!!
A-Line track for bikes is like Nurburgring for cars! :)
Insane in the membrain!!!!
Spectacular!
Check out the video time and compare to his winning race time. Video is 4:38 and his race run was 4:15. This video is essentially in slow motion!
DAAAAAAMMMMM, better hope them breaks work. amazingly no trick and still an insane clip
omg i can feel the speed even when watching this I WANNA TRY THIS :D
that's from danny hart's run on MTB Downhil lWorld Championship!
Sweet clean run right there :)
nice ride man, I wish I could ride like you!!!
the speed in that last tree bit was pretty nuts.
It is what is called a "scrub" and its purpose is to keep you lower to the ground in the air and get you back to the ground, where you go faster.
@no65mph Are you serious? That's entirely real speed. That's Brian Lopes, among the fastest pro downhill racers on the planet. A-Line is pretty tame compared to some of the world cup courses he's used to.
That was sped up! Such a nice course and so long!
Awesome run!!
i've always wanted to do this kind of stuff :) its awesome looking!
holy shit! sorry I have no other words to explain this...... GOD DAMN! AWESOME
OH THANK U ALL GUYS ...IT WAS A SWEET RIDE...I DID ALMOST MY BEST THX ALOT YEAH
@StankiiRiders especially at that speed i doubt its possible. the second part must be sped up a little bit.
Sick Run!
holy shit going 30moh down a dirt path with fat trees on each side thats crazy. freestyle is cool and all but holy shit i am impressed this is sick. this should be on tv
