I love how every Spiritbox release feels like an event! It's so great to see the whole community get hyped about the same thing all at once. Love this song. Instant rotation for me!
The way you tune into the emotions with music is why i keep coming back. I dont feel so alone when i tear up at a metal song just due to the rush of feel good.
The main riff in this song reminds me a lot of an Architects vibe, love it! I feel like this track will grow on me, just like the void did, there’s a lot of elements I really enjoy that I don’t think I’ve fully appreciated yet
Courtney has said Mike's biggest inspiration is Tom Searle which shows in many of his riffs. He's taken that djenty guitar style and made it his own. His opening guitar riff reminds me a lot of From the Wilderness from the All Our Gods album.
Mike writing such crushing heavy riffs that are also filled with such intense emotion. Then Courtney and her beautiful cleans and emotive harsh vocals. Stank face with a tear or two? Spiritbox making me feel and shit 😒 Great reaction 😁👍
This is my favorite song they've released in a while. Not saying their releases post-Eternal Blue have been bad, but this one...this song has everything I love about Spiritbox!
Your analysis is always so fluent and makes so much sense. Legit one of the best reaction/review channels that have value and I appreciate that so much.
I had the same thought when first hearing this. It feels like a mix of their older stuff with the more recent releases. The chorus has that catchy, vibey feel while the screaming second verse makes it seem a little less formulaic in structure just because it hits unexpectedly.
Loved the reaction Rachelle, hope all is well with you. Spiritbox is one of my favorite bands, Courtney is a phenomenal vocalist and Mike is an incredible guitarist, this is a perfect song. 🤘
Really enjoyed this track! The vocals stood out to me the most on first listen, love that we got a good mix of clean and unclean vocals! Will need a few more listens to pay attention to the instrumentslals more. Ever since hearing them live I've appreciated their recent few songs a lot more so I'm very much looking forward to this EP!
Really love this one! Selfishly wish it came out earlier so I could've heard it live at their London gig in July. Super excited for this EP, as I also really liked The Void, so I've preordered a vinyl 😌
Spiritbox say they are experimenting and thank the fans for bearing with them, but they never miss the mark either. So if that's "experimenting", I'm all ears for *whatever* Spiritbox is gonna do Courtney is a powerhouse, what a voice
I love everything they make, but this is the first post EB single that hit me deeply. I love how adventurous they are. This song is an instant favorite for me.
I think Courtney is my favorite vocalist ever man. The different ranges of her voice mixed with what the rest of the band is doing is seriously perfect. Definitely my fav vocalist since Chester.
Yes! My mistake, I saw your video and panicked to be first!😅@@RachelleReacts My wife and I saw them live in Orlando at the start of the summer and it was awesome. Can't wait to see this song and The Void live!
Spiritbox with this song: You know how you guys love both the singing and the screamy screamy? What if, and hear me out, we layer the 2 in parts of a song? And mix it with a groovy meledy? Community: Fuck yes!
Definitely enjoyed The Void, but liked this one more immediately. Love the variety and dynamics between melodic/catchy and the proggier/heavier Spiritbox we know and love from the past \m/ That riff and ambience too though
Spiritbox is on the same trajectory that Ghost was on before they truly blew up. The fact some people don't like them is why they will become the next big band. Because the "deciders" are always wrong.
I said this on the Rise page, but it needs said again. New Silent Planet, Polaris, and now Spiritbox in a single week?? What did we do to deserve such riches??? 🤘😁🤘
I think a lot of people easily write Spiritbox off, which is absurd to me. But this is also a super great band to show people who are scared of metal. In my mind, we both win. Because this fucking rules.
Loved this song. It slays all the way through. I feel The Void gets hate for not being what people expected or wanted to hear. Personally I think it’s a solid track. Edited for my terrible grammar lol
nope! i heard Overflow about three weeks ago when i filmed my full album reaction so as planned i will be dropping it with the rest of the video on release day.
I’m not gonna lie, I haven’t really been into Spiritbox as much as others. Didn’t really care for The Void, it was a pretty uninspired dad rock sounding song to me. This track however, this track pulled me in. Man, if every Spiritbox song going forward is this good I’ll be hooked. Good shit
I've never been a big supporter of scream bands however this group and others like them who can combine clean vocals with screams and do it well make it much more appealing at least to me. Also I can truly appreciate the musicianship of the entire group! Cool track for sure!
The division and arguments about their new direction is really quite weird to me. I've noticed that fans of the stuff before Eternal Blue, reactors and plebs alike, seem to like the new stuff, but don't seem super excited about it. It's almost like Spiritbox's new direction is to be admired, rather than enjoyed and let's not say anything negative, because we like those guys. Then there is another group of fans, who seem in love with the new stuff and actually found out about the band recently and actually seem to get off on the fact that there are others who are not on board with the new direction 100%. This is the weird part to me. It's like some of them are saying "It's our band now, go away!". I'm actually one of the people who were super stoked on the band before Eternal Blue was released and was quite disappointed with most of the album and the music after that. Just so we're clear - Courtney could do only cleans for the rest of time and they can be as radio friendly as they like, but I'm just waiting for something that's not instantly forgettable. Sorry, not sorry. :p I'm going to keep an eye on them though, Spiritbox are cool.
I love how every Spiritbox release feels like an event! It's so great to see the whole community get hyped about the same thing all at once. Love this song. Instant rotation for me!

Same bro, same.
it's incredible how they keep managing to make such HUGE songs that are instantly lovable. it's why they're still my favorite band right now
The main riff in this song reminds me a lot of an Architects vibe, love it! I feel like this track will grow on me, just like the void did, there’s a lot of elements I really enjoy that I don’t think I’ve fully appreciated yet
yeah they gotten closer with architects for sure since they're on tour together now . maybe they influence each other who knows.
Courtney has said Mike's biggest inspiration is Tom Searle which shows in many of his riffs. He's taken that djenty guitar style and made it his own. His opening guitar riff reminds me a lot of From the Wilderness from the All Our Gods album.
The final key change in the ending was so special. It takes real talent to make chills like that
The chorus I think is the most beautiful thing about the song. Every time I listen to it, I get chills!
I like this song a lot, I wasn't super super in to the void but this one was very satisfying and immediately enjoyable.
I honestly thought both were meh for me. Jaded being imo a little better but can't judge them off just 2 songs. Can't wait for an album
Love the VOID
@@GregMcClellan the void had a drum and bass vibe which I did like.
@@godsreclamation2539 The chorus was very catchy too ..Love her voice!
@@GregMcClellan agreed
Watched this premiere last night and it’s been on repeat since. Perfection. 🖤
This one is just brutiful,, enjoyed every second of it,,Thanks Rachelle for again a great reaction and analysis
Brutiful !! That's a perfect word to describe them !!

This is my favorite song they've released in a while. Not saying their releases post-Eternal Blue have been bad, but this one...this song has everything I love about Spiritbox!
I love Mike's use of almost thall clean tone over the riff/chugs. He places them so well and uses great riffs and harmonies. They just sound so good.
Your analysis is always so fluent and makes so much sense. Legit one of the best reaction/review channels that have value and I appreciate that so much.
this is so incredibly sweet, thank you so much!! 🩵
Agree

the last minute of this song is actual perfection. its so damn good
I had the same thought when first hearing this. It feels like a mix of their older stuff with the more recent releases. The chorus has that catchy, vibey feel while the screaming second verse makes it seem a little less formulaic in structure just because it hits unexpectedly.
I am definitely hearing some hints the The Mara Effect in the guitars in this..... soooo goood!
Reminds me of the singles era stuff! Massive hype for this EP
She is getting so much better at her control. I adore her and this djenty band I swear.
Her screams have never sounded better. Yet another win!
They never disappoint! LOVE LOVE LOVE
Loved the reaction Rachelle, hope all is well with you. Spiritbox is one of my favorite bands, Courtney is a phenomenal vocalist and Mike is an incredible guitarist, this is a perfect song. 🤘
I love this song. Mike's signature sound is coming through loud and clear. Makes me think of some older tunes.
Already one of my favorite Spiritbox songs, can't stop listening to it lmao. Super excited for their new album!
Totally inlove (as usual) with their new song. It's been on constant repeat for me ❤
Spiritbox just casually drops metalcore track of the year. New all time favorite Spiritbox song.
Thank you for not being afraid to show your passion for these artists.
💙💙
this song slaps! I keep coming back to it.

I can't wait to see them live next month!!
I’m seeing them October 19!!!
This is their first song with their new bassist Josh (from As I Lay Dying)
nope, The Void was!
@@RachelleReacts Oh I didn’t know that, awesome! I saw he signed on fully in April. So glad he’s here. Legend
Hands down the best song they've made and it's not even close. What a track
Really love this one! Selfishly wish it came out earlier so I could've heard it live at their London gig in July. Super excited for this EP, as I also really liked The Void, so I've preordered a vinyl 😌
Awesome song. Nice to see one of my favorite bands return with a banger
Gives me an as everything unfolds vibe in some parts
i don't get how this song is so brutal yet hooky and pretty at the same time. one of my favorite things about spiritbox
YESSSS
I can listen to this song over and over haha
This could be not sure yet but one of my favorite drop's from them such a well put together song love it!
HOW does this band keep refining and redefining their sound?! 🤌🤌
Yeah Ive been loving this one
Well, now I need a orchestrated version asap.
I love this band ...they just turned up on my Spotify 😅
Huge sound, as per usual.
Can't wait for the EP. Love this song. I think Rotoscope is still my favorite from the newer stuff past eternal blue.
Spiritbox say they are experimenting and thank the fans for bearing with them, but they never miss the mark either. So if that's "experimenting", I'm all ears for *whatever* Spiritbox is gonna do
Courtney is a powerhouse, what a voice
Oohhh it’s damn good! Love this track! Wish it was a full length they are releasing but I’m stoked regardless 🤘😎
I also felt like the whole vocal performance and some of the guitar work and Mike’s synthesque wizardy feels more OG spiritbox. It’s very good
Just Subbed to you, Rachelle
This song by Spiritbox is so dark, haunting & melodic heaven I'm starting to get into them because of this song 😊
thank you for the sub! 💙
I love everything they make, but this is the first post EB single that hit me deeply. I love how adventurous they are. This song is an instant favorite for me.
Jaded is their best song ever they wrote 🔥🖤🎸👍✅💯
I think Courtney is my favorite vocalist ever man. The different ranges of her voice mixed with what the rest of the band is doing is seriously perfect. Definitely my fav vocalist since Chester.
Same here, RIP Chester
Amazing ❤❤
If I had a nickel for everytime a spiritbox song gave me chills, I'd be a freaking millionaire
It’s such a banger! New album out in November!!!!!
it's an EP but yes!

same here!! they always kill it live!
I wonder if we'll get any Josh Gilbert cleans at some point as well. Don't sleep on the fact that he did cleans for As I Lay Dying!
eagerly waiting for the termina reaction
Yes.

That riff and ambience too though
Beast of a song. The chorus gives me similar vibes to Secret Garden, as they both make me wanna get up and dance (though nobody wants to see that 🙈).

Imo this is the best material since eternal blue
they get a little progressive. I like that very much❤❤❤
I think a lot of people easily write Spiritbox off, which is absurd to me. But this is also a super great band to show people who are scared of metal. In my mind, we both win. Because this fucking rules.
give me more people to head bang with
I think that the song lends itself to the combination of styles more than others where this approach was tried . It doesn't seem "as" intentional.
That intro riff continues to give me Lamb of God "Descending" vibes.
Im waiting for some cleans from josh on some tracks.
Loved this song. It slays all the way through.
I feel The Void gets hate for not being what people expected or wanted to hear. Personally I think it’s a solid track.
Edited for my terrible grammar lol
The princess
Invent Animate, Currents, Jinjer and Spiritbox need to create a tour. Enough said.
I know that new Polaris track reaction is on the way!
nope! i heard Overflow about three weeks ago when i filmed my full album reaction so as planned i will be dropping it with the rest of the video on release day.
As corny as it sounds I love the way mike speaks through the guitar. So much character & thought into each note.
i don’t think that sounds corny at all!
Good shit
Check out their older stuff (first two EP's). Because this song is still dad rock compared to their proggy stuff. You might enjoy it even more.
10/10.
The harsh vocals -> god tier
