TY! This was so what I needed to know for our upcoming trip! 🏄
So stoked to hear it!
Another one I recommend is Malaekahana. It’s a very beginner friendly beach that also gets some good sized waves occasionally. Almost every time I’ve gone I’ve been able to catch at least a couple waves. It’s where I learned and also where I usually go. It can get a little crowded but it’s not anywhere near as bad as places like Waikiki.
Thanks for the tips!
Excellent and very informative video. I hope to make it to Hawaii someday. Bucket list for sure for a mainlander
Mahaloz!
I would love if you made more of these at places around the the US & the world. Would watch all of them
Unfortunately our reach is only as far as Hawaii. We hope you watch all of the Hawaii content we create tho!
@TandCSurf Will do, I subscribed. Surfer from San Diego, but will check out these beginners spots next time where out in HI. Appreciate the content
@@TandCSurfstoked from HB california 🤙🏽
Mahalo for that! Queens isn't a great learning spot since that take off can be a little steeper than Canoes. It is quite the experience to Kai Sallas and Kani Tsunami, among others, riding out there.
🤙🏼
Nice video. Should be a big help to beginners
Mahalo. We think so!
Good info, White Plains is where I caught my first wave. I always make my way down there at least a few times a year.
Right on! Stoked to hear it!
Great video ' sublimity' thank you 'so much
Glad you enjoyed it
This was done super sick.
Mahalo!
THANK YOU for telling beginners not to go to Queens
Why is queens not for beginners?
Any friendly intermediate spots on north shore besides puena pt?
Absolutely! Chuns reef is an excellent choice for intermediate surfers! Cammies, Rocky Point & Velzeyland are also surf spots that, depending on the surf conditions, are good intermediate surf spots.
Is Oahu the best surfing island? Do you have any videos talking about beaches on other islands?
Each island has its own advantages to surfing and offer a variety of wave types. We wouldn't say any island in particular is the best. Each is unique. Unfortunately we are based out of Oahu and don't have any videos talking about beach on the other islands.
I think Makapu‘U Beach is supposed to be a good spot too for beginners.
🤙🏼
Great video! White plains is the best. Please go there. Don’t bother anywhere else. Sandy bottom for your bottom. 😅
Mahaloz!
Ample
I want some, cool info
🤙🏼
Pokai Bay/westside is a heavy locals spot. Beginners should take lessons so they have the most fun and learn what not to do. Dont wanna get run off the beach for injuring someone on head high days there. Tiger sharks are common there. Just saw one this week.
Mahalo for your feedback!! 🦈
🤙
I hangout at White Plains 2/3 times a week. People surf White Plains 12months of the year. There are surfboard rentals. I recommend going during the week. Gets a good mix of locals and tourists.
🤙🏼
Any beginner spots on the windward side?
Castles beach in Kailua is a decent beginner spot. Its just always so windy on the east side that its not as consistent as the other spots on the list.
Cockroach bay. Coming from town it is just after Makapuu and near Sea Life Park. Also, a little further, Waimanalo has a really long stretch of beach that usually has wind swell. Not great quality but fine for learning. There is so much beach area there that it's easy to find a place all to yourself. Surf in front of a certain house, you can name the spot 'Obama's'
Definitely castles. Most decent Tradewinds days will have windswell chop there that is super fun to learn on and easy to surf. No lineup there too. Best beginner break on Eastside for sure
Oahu best beginner spots... waikiki, waikiki, and waikiki brah
🤙🏼
👍👍👍

I’m surprised you no who hasn’t DEW Haleiwa yet AND I PRAY TO GOD ABOVE THEY NEVER DO
Want some beef with that?
T&C… shame on you! Breaking the golden rule of surfing. Take this video down asap! You have lost your way and a family of lifelong customers along with it if you don’t make this right!
These are all known teaching beaches. Better this then someone trying to paddle out at Pipe
