I find it really funny that you went out of your way to mention how many things you picked up second-hand or on deep discount. I can't think of any other tech creators who have so many things in their every-day carry that was bought used, which is pretty relatable to a lot of people watching. PS: When it eventually comes time to replace the BenQ, look into ultrawides! As someone who's been using one for years, it's life-changing! So much room for timeline view and extra windows!

I love how you don't have the latest, greatest and most expensive tech. Because the truth is buried deep inside MOUNTAINS of marketing, you do not need to spend crazy money to do things. And I LOVE that the A7C is your main camera, that was the first review from you I saw. That's part of the reason why I love small cameras in general, and why the A7C lineup in general are my dream cameras (alongside the Canon R5 lineup)
I have an M1 Macbook pro with a benq monitor too. I had the same flicker problem and it seemed to stop when I changed my docking station to a different brand. I had a dell dock station and my caldigit seemed to fix that for me (or at least i think so).

hey Becca, as always, love your energy! I know you must have probably tried a million things, but the flickering could also be caused by interference with other appliances in your household (or even the neighbour's flat, depending on your electricity lines). For me, whenever my AC or the drier turned on, my TV began to flicker. This can usually be fixed by isolating your outlets from the other electricity circutios (e.g. don't charge the macbook on the same outlet you plug in the monitor) or by buying a special fancy multi-socket outlet with built-in isolation agains this issue. Best of luck!
Keychron keyboards are pretty solid. I don't own one myself, but from what I've seen, they seem really good. Also it looks like the spacebar does ping a bit more compared to the other keys (which is normal, but pretty loud om yours). You can lube the switches or put some foam under the board. Both methods help improving the keyboards sound overall and aren't so expensive to do, so that's always nice :)

The flickering issue is also available on my Benq Monitor (albeit it's a much much cheaper one). The model number is GW2283. It doesn't happen often, but it happens enough times for me to notice it. But unlike your case, the flickering doesn't persist for an hour...it mostly flickers around the edge (mostly when I wake my pc from sleep or restart it) for about a minute or two and somehow magically fixes itself afterwards :)
Your tech looks eerily similar to mine! I just switched from a Sony A1 to the Nikon ZF, since I started shooting more for "me". I also recently picked up an Osmo pocket 3! Love the content, keep it coming!

On another note, I'm considering buying either the A7c used, the Fujifilm xt30 or the Nikon Zfc but I'm tempted by the Fujifilm's film simulations to streamline my process and actually been able to have my photos on time and not month after my holidays. What's your view? Specially on Fujifilms colors vs Nikon's ones
If you haven't checked out the 35mm or 50mm Voigtlander APO lenses for your ZF, I'd highly suggest it for your personal work. They are the perfect combo for that ZF body and I'm making some of my favorite stuff ever with the ZF/35 pairing.
A hack for taking OSMO footage without the bobble: attach it to a monopod or any other stick with an OSMO mount at the end. It becomes a really smooth crane cam but is easy enough to stabilize that you can stop the shaking.
I HAVE THAT BENQ AND IT DOES THE SAME THING, SO FRUSTRATING. It gave me such a headache when it was happening late last night! It's also super prone to blacking out for a few seconds when there's static, and my Ikea Markus(?) chair creates so much. I have a second smaller Dell monitor with none of those issues right next to it too, makes me want to replace the Benq asap.
1:40 I’m convinced that flickering problem is an issue with M1 Macs hooked up to a 4K display. My HP randomly does the same thing. Switched to a 1440p display a few months back and now the flicker is gone.

Your comment on airpod pro 2's and Pixel Bud Pro 2's was interesting, because I have both and now I'd say the Buds noise cancelling is a little better than the Airpod Pro 2s, which is surprising. APP2s are still the best earphones for me though, as the touch controls on the Pixel Buds are annoying, and the slightest wet completely wrecks them. Or wearing a hood... arghle!
Becca, are we the same person? I'm also daily driving the 1TB M1 Pro MBP, Sony A7C (I'm using the OG in webcam duty now as I recently got the mk.2), Pocket 3 and Galaxy Buds 3 Pro. I've got a Fuji XM5 on the way for the "kids are doing something cute" camera and I'm continuing to roll with the S23 for now for phone - but great choices all around! Nice video! Good style vs other EDC videos :) I might be able to help with the stabilization issue on your A7C. I also have it and agree the IBIS isn't great, but gyroflow enables really amazing digital stabilization via a plugin right inside premiere. It's been a game changer for me, but as you can probably guess, say goodbye to 180deg shutter since digital stab needs more like 45deg shutter. I did check, and unfortunately the Pocket 3 isn't supported by Gyroflow, likely because it's not actually recording gyro information.
