This looks great! Thank you for showing what it looks like straight instead of styled and curly like most other videos. It was nice to see what the layers look like without the styling, because I don't always have the time to curl it in case the layers don't blend super well.

First off, if you’re going to do this, bring the forehead pony (Unicorn) to a smidge above and center of your eyebrows. Angles, are EVERYTHING when cutting hair. Klara went way to high on the front pony, makes it look choppy and disconnected, not feathered. Second, you have to pull the back pony forward, angeled with the front pony, You'll see in the back, she didn't do this and now is way to chunky/choppy and disconnected

I tried a similar pony tail trick but I did all of my hair stick straight in a pony way forward THEN I divided the top from my ears up into its own pony tail and toward the front and only took off like 3 inches. Is that ok? I have no idea how to do face frame. I usually have to trim the very bottom layer bc this technique isn’t seamless between all other layers and bottom layer.
I actually did this technique before I saw this video and it turned out really good. I have long thick hair like her and it feels so much lighter and healthier. Glad I did it.

Thank you so much!! That’s so true I cut off really a lot, as my hair grows quickly I wasn’t worry about that but it really just made a layers and the length stayed pretty much the same 🤩
Oh WOW!!! Ì was holding my breath when you first started cutting! I was thinking,"ahhhhh, there's no turning back now!" At the end I wasn't sure what we were going to see, but wow!! I really like the look!!! I'm sure you might do a little adjusting,we all do it after a haircut or visit to salon. I'm seriously thinking about trying it. I've LITERALLY had same style for 30years!!!! I'm waaay overdo for a change!!!

THANK YOU for showing the bottom in the back! It’s straight yay great job n the only reason some say it looks choppy is because you have straight heavy hair. Mine is curly so nobody would know the difference

I feel like I legit can see and feel her completely panicking on the inside. That first cut was very dramatic with how much length she took off and the sharpness off the line. I was scared!! That was very brave. Probably needed those blending scissors from the get go. She still luckily has a lot of length left so that saved her from disaster but I bet you she went to a salon to get it fixed up a bit! But I’m scared for all the individuals who are persuaded to do this bc of this video! We’ve all been there! Ladies…we’ve all been there. Thinking it was a good idea and then wishing so badly we could just get that moment back where we decided to go ahead with those scissors!
I have never went to a salon after this cut and I loved it!! I did cut my hair another two times by myself after this bc I wanted to shorten my hair. So that’s the true 🤣 it’s just a hair

That pony cut works ok with shorter hair but your hair is very long you need to cut more of a longer angle to blend the front into the sides otherwise you end up with a kind of mullet cut on the sides because the angle isn't short to long . Let your sides grow out and angle them longer after you cut your bangs pieces

This looks so good! I can see this cut rocking with some face framing pieces or longer curtain bangs!

Tip: (1) You need to lift both ponytails up, so you cut them the same length (so the layers blend). (2) Some hairdressers put the front ponytail at the top of forehead. Others put the ponytail just above the eyebrows. The latter option creates a more obvious butterfly wing. The first option creates a more Unicorn face framing layers look. (3) Cut the front ponytail length to neck, chin, or nose (the best length will depend on your hair texture and face shape) at a 45 degree angle. Then lift both pintails to cut the back ponytail same length as front ponytail, also cutting with that ponytail pulled forward at a 45 degree angle. I watched a lot of Butterfly/Unicorn haircut videos. If struggling, the Brad Mondo UA-cam Butterfly Haircut video gives you a perfect result (like JLo hairstyle).

I’d try cutting a tad bit more off the back pony than you cut off the front.. it might be a bit more even then. But you rock it regardless. Also I love your voice.

Those are called thinning shears and if you use them for texture they are great. However!!!!!!!!!! Do not use them for actually thinning your hair because you will hate yourself if you use them to actually thin your hair when you go to get your hair done the next time the little hairs you thinned last time will be sticking up all over the place and you will hate hair life

Im roo scared. My hair is waist length. I cant wrar it loose but i braid it. I think its too thin for layers. .ive had layers but the longer ends wete aleays too thin and ratty. it looks good on u though. Good job. I may try only taking half an inch to an inch off.

When u hold the scissors u are supposed to put ur thumb in one hole and ur ring finger in the second hole. Not ur pointer or middle finger!!! Also, u move ur thumb ONLY to open and close the scissors. If ur gonna cut ur own hair at least hold the scissors correctly.
I feel like people are missing the fact that I am not professional hair stylists and was only trying this hair style based on other videos what I saw and for fun 😅 and for that reason I will always hold my scissors how it works for me 😜

shouldn't clip the front to d side.. that was ur guide to cut the back of ur hair...the cuts.should be the same length... try it again😅
