Weird that this song has never officially been released. It's such a nice, uplifting tune. Matches so well with the movie...which I've seen dozens of times for it's great atmosphere.
I grew up watching amazing films like "The Money Pit" i love the fact that i can go on UA-cam and listen to the soundtracks that take me back to my youth.
I just watched this movie for the first time ever last Friday. It’s absolutely hilarious and this song is a banger! I can’t believe I’ve never seen this movie before I was born in 1990. :V
the 80s are a foggy memory for me, since i was quite young then..but when i hear this song its like a switch gets flipped and i come alive. its hard to explain but it feels great
+Major Trauma then why r u even going on youtube to this song. ur generation is why the world is like it is.stick to ur side of youtube. like the raunchy crap💩
+Major Trauma i am so sorry. i didnt realize u said " sadly" so ur on my team. i just get offended because everyone gives me hard time bout my taste in music and i jumped the gun😡
+Nancy Homeyer haha! That's cool. I was confused when I saw your original reply, because I rarely leave rude comments! I love the 80's and forever will!
I hear ya. You get to a certain age and music and movies of your childhood like this one, jog so many memories, and most of them make us yearn for the past because we know how much better it was than now and how much better we were then. We yearn for that feeling of Innocence we felt when we were young, when movies like this came out. We yearn for that simpler time in our lives. I need to stop writing, yearn.
I love this song whenever I think of the money pit are see it I love this song the beginning and the ending it just makes you feel alive happy loving blissful
I feel your every breath, I hear the words you say And I keep turning back, to hear the music play I make no promises, those promises can break you How can you call me home, wanting me like yesterday Where do we build a house, how do the roses grow? Are you and I in love, how do we really know? If love is on our side, you'll know when I'm trouble That's when my heart decides, to go wherever you will go The heart is so willing to follow The heart shows the way out of the night The heart runs in search of tomorrow When love takes the hand that guides the light When shadows fall, and there's no one there to hear I'll listen How do we fix the moon, how do we change the sky? How can I make you laugh, the way I make you cry? I make no promises, those promises can break you But love's no accident, and time is on our side The heart is so willing to follow The heart shows the way out of the night The heart runs in search of tomorrow When love takes the hand that guides the light
That's easy I bought the DVD now I own the movie and the song .You have Great Taste in Music The Heart is so Willing. Is a Wonderful Uplifting Song .🌅😊🌅from the movie The Money Pit .🎅
I've already commented on this, but it lifts me way up. When you add the Movie connected "the Money Pit" It takes on a whole new meaning. I like that this track makes me feel child like especially as I'm pushing 40. A genuinely beautiful piece of work that fits beautifully with the movie. I don't mind stating that this brings me to tears - just listen!
Perfect song to a great movie. Both are super relaxing to me - I was listening to this song on the morning commute the other day, and I couldn't be in a bad mood. Not with this playing. "Are you and I in love, how do we really know?" *happy synth tinkling*
One of my most Favourite Songs The Heart is so Willing to Follow from the movie The Money Pit I actualy bought the DVD just to listen to the song Thank You for posting it .🌅😊🌅💝💝💝🎅💝💝💝
“Is it me. Hahahaha! Is it me ahhhahaha...” “I’M IN HERE!!!!!!!!....In the floor behind the chair.” “Art Shirk. I’m the carpenter.....Yeah well, I guess I’ll be goin.”
I'll never understand why this wasn't a hit. Great 80s song.
It didn’t get a proper release. Lot of songs from the 1980s didn’t get proper releases outside of being on 80s movie soundtracks
THIS SONG IS OFFICIALLY ON SPOTIFY. Run don't walk! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
YES thanks for the heads up! I had checked a few times over the years but gave up.
thanks again
The 1980s was a excellent decade for music and film's
"Honey I've been here so long I'm hallucinating.........for a while i thought the Care Bears were here" ..........lol
My dad used to play this song for me growing up, he passed in 2018 hearing it always makes me tear up i wish it would release on Apple Music
same time for my mother. i wonder if they became friends in heaven.
Sorry for your loss babe, I know how you feel.I also lost my mother a while back.
It's now on Spotify 🎉 not sure about Apple music though
This song and another song from 1986 that I wish would release on Apple Music is the song Come and Follow Me which was from Short Circuit
The 80's movies and music. There is absolutely no comparison. Nothing will ever come close!
Now most new movies that release are insanely woke
"we have stairs !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! "
😂😂😂
Hello, Mr. Stairs!
Not for long 😂
I will never not love this film.
🤣
80s movies and the music. Timeless.
Weird that this song has never officially been released. It's such a nice, uplifting tune. Matches so well with the movie...which I've seen dozens of times for it's great atmosphere.
Checking Discogs, apparently it was released in '86 as "The Heart Is So Willing (Theme From The Money Pit)" on MCA Records.
I grew up watching amazing films like "The Money Pit" i love the fact that i can go on UA-cam and listen to the soundtracks that take me back to my youth.
Man, movies used to be so good! Thanks to the moon and stars for making me an 80s kid!
Yep. The 80s were magic. Here we are in the early 2020s and most new movie nowadays are insanely woke.
The house is gonna be great.
I just watched this movie for the first time ever last Friday. It’s absolutely hilarious and this song is a banger! I can’t believe I’ve never seen this movie before I was born in 1990. :V

My favourite movie when i was a child and this opening song is great
I love how this song is kind of upbeat and optimistic, yet let's be honest, "The Money Pit" is quite a dark comedy. That makes the song even better!
If you stare into the Stephen Bishop, the Stephen Bishop stares back into you.

Showed this movie to my wife before we bought our first house. It's probably the reason we didn't buy the large, underpriced fixer upper.
