I know y'all are talking about the guitars but holy shit listen to that man sing. What an absolute BEAST .. at that age, too! Amazing
The version of Future Breed Machine on this gig is fuckign INSANE. It slaps you around so hard!
the production on this is insane it sounds just like the record. These guys are one of the greatest for a reason. I hope to see them one day!
i prefer their live albums more than the actual albums alot of the time, more lively
@@pipespeeps5349 Same, their guitar tones sound massive in the live shows. Ligature Marks sounded like atom bombs going off.
I saw Meshuggah for the first time last year and I swear to all that is holy: it was a religious experience. It felt like the massive sound at massive volume with that particular music at that frequency shoved my soul fully into my body. For that entire set, I was at peace. Completely. Aside from the wonderful culture at metal concerts, this is the feeling I'll chase for the rest of my life. ❤
I am 50 and went to Meshuggah with my then 15-year-old son. Simply a must in my son's education🎉💪😜
I was front row for this show and it was by far the best sounding show and experience ive ever had.
Holy Fahk they sound great and put on a wow show.
I was right at the front for this after they had just signed my guitar cause I played that weekend... WHAT A TREAT!!! Give anything to do this again!
This concert is great!!!
They are Legends big time!! They are so tight in playing. 💯🔥🤘🏼
Thank you so much for this video. Chaosphere was my first when it first came out.
btw... Big fat HELLO from Okanagan Valley BC Canada. Love it keep up the metal eh!
I’ll never forget being in the pit for this and my phone getting stolen and I was just like fuck it and just ran into the pit 😂
Absolutely insane performance!😊
I saw them live in June 2023, and oh boy I was not ready.
That intro where each member is in front of a red light cube is so epic
Yep , I was there. One of the best live gigs I've ever seen.
That was a very chill stream. Love watching live concerts with yall. I know its not like we really there. But who cares? In a way... Yeah we are! And that is a magical opportunity. Gotta see meshuggah live one day, but damn if it isnt fun to just hang out and vibe on stream too. 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Best band you can currently see live, incredible showcase
Super bad ass 🤘 thanks Ola
My fav album of Meshuggah is... all of them. :)
I saw Meshuggah with In Flames opening in 2022. The two tightest bands I've ever seen. Meshuggah has to be seen live to truly experience the power of their music.
I was at the front left of this show, and yes, they were fucking great
They're so good
Cool livestream, didn‘t have time but just rewatched it
Man I told my wife one day I have to meet you in person man your the most entertaining person guitar player and a big inspiration I watched every video since 2001...much love my friend and keep on jammin
38:05 That's rad that Ola is an ABBA fan despite being a metal head.
I listen to a ton of metal but ABBA is probably my all time favorite Euro-pop band.
Common tbh
Only a fool would limit themselves to exclusively listening to any particular genre of music. And some of ABBA had a darkness to it. The songwriting is probably the best there is, as many would agree.
I heard a quote from Benny a long time ago and not entirely sure if it's legit but I think it's accurate; -I just write the best chorus I can think of and make that the verse. Then I write an even better chorus.
Everyone likes abba
Still at work, but this is AWESOME
Couldn't make it to the stream because it was 1am here lmao. Gonna watch it now tho!
When I saw this a few months ago, I was blown away with the total production. They really should package it up, and sell it with some cool memorabilia.
🤘🏽
Great Show! Amaze-balls cover too after!! Mario's a Beast!!
They are like gods! I mean like ancient gods of mythological measures 🙏🏻
My band DeadBlondeStars played Bloodstock the same day as this and we managed to catch this set and it was amazing
Meshuggah is in my top 3 favorite bands, if not number one. Destroy Erase Improve influenced me in more ways than I can count. They are one of the very rare groups who don't have bad albums. You may like one album over the other but they all great..
P.S. Ola you rule!
I was there(at bloodstock, wish I had pics but was too into it), hard to see me since I was way up towards the barrier, Jens and company put on such a great show and was my first time seeing them and first at bloodstock. I was near marten
Thanks for the livestream reaction. Enjoy your weekend
Edit:10/10 I would definitely do again if had the chance but now I’m broke but was worth going
Just 1 like? Amateurs
when back in 90´s in FINLAND - one of my friend used to call MSHGGH as in "EPÄMUSIIKKI" - non music - which still i heartily respect for his perspective as still all diehard fans both and play drums / bass / et cetera inspired by them since then
An experience such as a Tool live show. Both INCREDIBLE
I was here... Was unbelievable
Each album become my favorite as they came out. Haha.
Pensacola, Florida
This show is fucking incredble. I saw Meshuggah warm up before Metallica in Gothenburg in 2015, but I don't remember anything. Need to see them again!
Hello Ola ! Everyone ! Meshuggah baby !
Before Mayshuggah goes Marchshuggah!
Meshuggah are willing to do interviews btw... They were part of the Swedish documentary about Swedish metal, and Thomas + Mårten did a bunch of interviews for the Immutable album. And in the past they ave done interviews with A LOT of different mags as well as radio shows.
EDIT
Maybe they do not want to be on a show where the showhost takes over and want to be in the center all the time. The way you treated this "watch together" is a prime example of that. :)
Best band ever!
Nobody said Koloss?? Damn I love that shit! lml
saw them two weeks ago in hamburg. my neck still hurts
Köttiga 🇸🇪🖤🤘🏻
Liked before I even started watching
Thanks buddie
Noice
Any metal fan that doesn't like Meshuggah is just wrong. It's beyond opinion at this point. Meshuggah is a fact.
VITTU SAATANA PERKELE \,,/ - as in - VITTUHGGAH in Finnish
someone said on the live chat, "Meshuggah is like if NIrvana and Primus had a baby".. just needed to say, horrible take! like no, no its not haha
Yeah that’s an awful take. Meshuggah are like a pure and distilled, METALIFIED version of certain specific Rush moments. Plus maybe a little Holdsworth on the leads
Always like your show ola keep it metal 🤘☮️😎🤘
Straight disrespectful
Agreed
No matter how hard I try, I can’t get into the groove. I would rather listen to Break Stuff by limp bizkit over and over than something like meshuggah. I also remember meshuggah from the late 90’s so its not my age. I just prefer simpler grooves
Ola Ola Ola Ola🤘🏻🍻🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻what's up brother
Hi ola why can’t you sell your solar guitar through Sweetwater in the USA 🇺🇸
Next one: GWAR live from Antarctica. It is ridiculously awesome! 🤘👹
I’ll tell you what, I think the lights actually make the show so much better because live meshugguga tends to sound a little monotonous after five or six songs before their lighting production was added
to criticize a band for being 'too polished' is like criticizing an athlete or team for becoming world champions. this kind of show is the culmination of years of hard work, and i believe the production levels they are achieving is now state of the art. however, to make this kind of quality production requires playing skills way beyond what most of us will ever achieve.
Jalapeno popper cheesy poops. Snyder's pretzels, Nashville, hot pieces and popcorn and some good smoke.
i actually love cottage cheese, only if it has fruit in it though
The facts Jen’s sounds as good as he does at their age is something to behold
Mixing on the bloodstock video is done by the swedish kung fu-panda himself; Lawrence Mackrory (Darkane, FKÛ, Döda Havet) :)

You need to watch stockholm knockout 2006

Laziest crowd I have ever seen.
I was there that night. Very bored for the most part.
What's the song that starts around @24:00 ? It's right after Ola is talking about the Solar tattoo. Thanks!
The Hurt That Finds You First
@@johnsilver4990 oh, from Kolos! Thanks, fella. I have that album, I guess I just haven't played in a way too long. I have't completed my Meshuggah collection, yet. so, I assumed it was something I didn't have.
Sick or six?
Do you dislike Bodom or something? I mean it had the most upvotes when you asked what we should watch and then... Meshuggah. Why?
I saw them live at partille arena this past year. Honestly, for me their mix was damn near perfect, only thing is that the drums were really low in the mix. I have too much experience with bands mixing the drums so loud that you literally can't hear other parts of the band, but this was a little too far on the other end of the spectrum for me. It's not too polished, it was great for me, just wish I'd feel the bass at all, which I didn't.
You mean Marten or Tomas won't do an interview with you? They do them with other people with a smaller audience than yours, and people that aren't even Swedish. Make them go on Coffee with Ola. MAKE THEM.
@Ola Det hade varit trevligare om du inte pratade över musiken. Pausa mellan låtarna för att adressera din publik. Nu blir det mest "watch me watching Meshuggah Live and I will be the center of the show".
Ola has got some stoner snacks
Always wonder why all the phones in the audience, it's guna sound like crap and look like crap and be deleted the next day...just sayin...
Ola, the audio volume from the video being watched drops too much when you talk over it, on all of these reaction streams of yours I have watched. The way it is gated is causing the level to go up and down in a way that is annoying as shit.
I'm not saying you shouldn't talk over it, but I think your mic comes through enough that the video's volume could stay more even.
It’s not metal tho, it’s what was called “grind” in the 90s. Something like Kiss is heavy metal.
That's so pathetic Ola.
