    Medicare Choices Made Easy
When you enroll in Medicare Part A and Medicare Part B, you are covered for hospital and outpatient services. This coverage, however, does not extend to dental benefits. Rather, you are left looking to implement your own dental plans that are not offered by Medicare. Although some Medicare Advantage plans do offer dental benefits, these benefits typically don’t go further than a yearly cleaning and check-up. What if you need more extensive dental benefits?
Typically, seniors have two options for dental plans:
Discount Dental Plans and Dental Insurance.
Discount dental plans are inexpensive plans that save you money on dental procedures without being standard insurance. These plans work from pre-negotiated rates with in-network dentists to cut the out-of-pocket on dental procedures. These plans do not have a waiting period and can be utilized immediately for dental coverage.
Dental insurance is usually in the form of a PPO plan. These plans offer larger networks and benefits ranging from $1,000-$3,000. These plans do, however, typically have a one-year wait for any major dental procedures. The plans often also have increasing benefits for the longer you are enrolled in the plan.
These plans can be used separately, or even in conjunction with each other if needed.

I just got Cigna Preferred Top Tier Savings HMO since i'm on SSI/DI & qualify for "extra help." It cost me nothing. It actually saves me money. No waiting periods, yearly $20k for prosthetics, $0 co pays for x-rays, extractions & all kinds of stuff. No more waiting periods & $1k or $1500 a year coverage starting in 2024. I save $175 on my SSI/DI check each month. Vision & my docs included.

Jamie liked the video, you were describing the Manhattan life plan. Just FYI, they now have a $3,000 yearly benefit plan to go with the $1,000 and $1,500 plans.

Medicare or any other insurance company’s dental
Is a joke and totally out of scope with dental care. Example: I have a capped tooth that has a root canal. My cap came off. I went to my dentist and he said he can’t fix it . He gave me a dentist that could extract the tooth and either put in a fake tooth or simply extract the tooth.
I went to the dentist he suggested. They wanted 5 k for a fake tooth or 1800 to extract it. With insurance. My dental has a 1500 yearly with two free cleanings . Totally out of touch with dental care

I’m on Medicare and need dental help for TMJ, estimated to cost over $4000. It doesn’t sound like any of these plans will help me.

I like this. You're video is so helpful to me. I'm one who's on Medicare and was laid off a few months ago. I really thought I'd be working again by now. I have a situiation where I need a Root Canal, "Tomorrow"! Where do get one of these "Discount Dental Plans"? Would my 'Supplement' provider be able to provide this? It's Manhattan. Thanks again. You just might be my "Person of the Year". 😁. P.S.... would you be able to beat my current Manhattan Life "Supplement" plan? I think it needs to be re-visited. Thanks.

Hey Stephen! Person of the Year is a big award, maybe I’ll get a call from Time Magazine. If you head over to senior dental.info, it will take you directly to the dental discount plan website where you will be able to look through the different savings plans. Manhattan would be more beneficial for the traditional dental insurance, which I would also be able to help you with if needed! You can always email me at Jamie@medicarebyjamie.com with any questions!

@@medicarebyjamie830 Yes - I'll totally endorse you should Time Magazine write that story on you. 😁👍. As you can see I've since edited my original message to you. Actually, I'd like to take a look at my whole 'Supplement' with Manhattan and compare it to other Part B coverages (Advantage) that might be available to me. Maybe I could just make contact with you again on Monday. Would that be ok? In the meantime if I need to act on a 'Discount Dental Plan', I can do that too, thanks to you.
Thanks so much for getting back to me so quickly. You're STILL my Person of the Year! 😁👍

Hello Jamie, I think I need a part C dental plan or insurance because I need coverage to get 3 bridges. I live in Zip code 65740 and 65804. I have the highest dental plan through liberty dental which is through my B/C B/S PPO plan I pay 57.00 a month for dental coverage through liberty dental and it's there highest tier insurance plan available but it won't pay for bridges. I'm so discouraged with dental insurance right now. I'm just fed up. I've paid more for my liberty dental insurance premiums then it has saved me in 2020. I need a dental insurance that doesn't have a no missing tooth clause because I have had the 3 teeth pulled where I need the 3 bridges through my dentists recommendation to have them pulled and after I had the 3 teeth pulled I find out liberty dental insurance won't cover the 3 bridges I now need where the 3 teeth were pulled. Does any dental insurances cover implants, I'm thinking I may need to go that route as I see lots of advertisements saying medicare dental covers implants, so do you know if I can get implant coverage that way. Thank you for any help you can give me on this. I'm at my wit's end right now trying to find the right coverage. I'm not rich by no means so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much and God Bless you.

Hi Andrea, unfortunately many dental insurance plans do have a "missing tooth" clause, or waiting periods before any major services of at least one year. Have you looked into the dental discount plans I mentioned to see if any can offer some help in coverage? The plans can be found at www.seniordental.info
