    l Blue Cross advantage for medical and I also took up their Blue Cross dental. I got a huge break because I could prove that I had kept my dental care up. They allowed my benefits to begin immediately rather than waiting six months before I could have my dentist charge Blue Cross for work done.. Blue Cross advantage has worked for me. I had it for years and years when I worked in California for the government and I’ve gone back to it as a retiree and it is affordable and provides me with excellent positions so it’s my choice for Medicare advantage..

    Medicare or any other insurance company’s dental Is a joke and totally out of scope with dental care. Example: I have a capped tooth that has a root canal. My cap came off. I went to my dentist and he said he can’t fix it . He gave me a dentist that could extract the tooth and either put in a fake tooth or simply extract the tooth. I went to the dentist he suggested. They wanted 5 k for a fake tooth or 1800 to extract it. With insurance. My dental has a 1500 yearly with two free cleanings . Totally out of touch with dental care

      How many co payments would you have had to pay? Plan N pays for the whole surgery except the doctor visits. I figured the difference in monthly payments from a plan g to a plan n I would have to pay copayments on 4 doctor visits a month for the whole year. Plan G was $80 more a month than Plan N.

  • @markspafford8519
    @markspafford8519 Рік тому

    I thought the Medicare part B deductible has to be met first before copays apply. In other words, even with the plan G, you would have to pay the full office visit if your deductible is not met yet. Thats because if the office visit is not covered, then it goes to the supplement plan which doesn't go into effect until the Part B deductible is met. However, Medicare does allow 1 office visit a year that doesn't fall under the deductible if it's coded as a Wellness Check.

    As a Mass resident, I would certainly opt for 1A. I have been led to believe that (in general) original Medicare plus a Medigap plan (e.g. G or N) would be honored in all 50 states. And that there are no doctor network or other such limitations. Is that also true for Mass residents with original Part A, B and Medigap 1A?

    I just think the high deductible Plan G is the smart choice for healthy people. Why would I pay almost $2400 a year in premiums for G, when I can pay $600, even less a year. Worse case scenario, I end up spending the whole deductible of $2340 plus $600 in premiums for $2940, or $540 more than the yearly premium for Plan G. But I'm saving $1800 every year in premiums. And Medicare still pays 80%, so the $2340 has to come from your 20%, which means you would have to have medical bills totaling $11,700 before you paid out the whole $2340.
