Thank you for watching! Stay cool like a cloud and have a wonderful day!
I've been eyeing one of these for the past couple of months. Might be time to go for it. Thanks for the video!
It’s a great guitar. Thank you!! 😄. And thank you for the comment!
As a side note, I almost never say the word "aesthetic" so it's funny to me that I said it so much in this video (5 times I think). I also think I've said it before in other videos 🤔.
the color is great :) i played the red one, because the turqoise wasnt in stock. i ordered the turquois. lets see how long it takes.
Thanks for the review Bryce! It is very helpful to me. This is the exact color (& price) I want. Looking forward to a black friday PRS sale too this year 😊
Thank you for watching! 😄. I am glad it was helpful! I hope you’re able to get a good deal on one 😄
@@bjackson4 yup! aiming for a black friday prs too here in 🇵🇭 PH
Very nice review my friend. Beautiful guitar and turquoise finish. Greetings from Montreal!
Thank you, again! I appreciate it 😄🙏🏽. Greetings! I hope you’re well 😎
Great to hear a positive review. For some reason I’ve been seeing slack for this guitar and I just do not understand it
Thank you so much! 😄. I don’t understand it either. It’s a quality instrument at a great price.
I will be trading in two guitars at guitar center to order the blood orange one. I can’t wait!
Nice nice! I hope you enjoy it!! 😄
Thanks For Sharing 🎉🎉🎉
Thank your watching and commenting! 😄🙏🏽
I love mine, same color as yours 🤘
just wanted to add that I also am intending to change to locking tuners. Would love to hear back from you, though ☺️
Glad you love yours! 😄 It’s a great color 😎.
I’ll follow up with you on it! I’ve got the tuners but need to install them now. Will probably do over the next couple of days 😊
To follow up, I’ve got the locking tuners installed and enjoy them so far! I like that the locks are on top of the headstock instead of behind it. This made it easier for me when changing strings. They also look nice in my opinion. 😊
I just got the red one and it's been amazing so far! I own a Core CE as well and they're both fantastic instruments
Congrats! The red one is also beautiful. Glad you’re enjoying it! How do you feel about the different neck joints? Do you have a preference for one?
@@bjackson4 they both feel pretty natural to me. But I honestly prefer the Core joint a tad bit more. You have to really get in there to even feel the neck plate or any of the bolts. So it’s almost like a set neck with all the benefits and snappiness of a bolt on.
Thank you for sharing! 🙏🏽
@@bjackson4 Having played both, and owning a Core CE24 Semi-Hollow, I much prefer the joint on the Core. The SE feels like a Fender in the upper registers. That is not bad at all, I love my Strats, but the core feels much more... Set neck. It feels undeniably nicer with the heel joint being flush with the body vs sticking out like on the SEs.
Thank you for sharing! 🙏🏽
Thanks for the video! I just got mine (also turquoise and on sale). This is my first PRS, and after polishing the frets, oiling the fingerboard, and putting 10s on it, I'm pretty happy with it. The intonation and action are good (no fret buzz), and the finish is perfect. Tuning stability is better with the 10s, so I don't plan on changing the tuners or nut. I like the pickups with gain, okay with clean tones, but I need to gig with it before I decide whether to swap them out. I love the versatility of the split coils.
I currently use my strat and Les Paul to gig, but it's almost 12 lbs and I'm getting too old to lug it around.
No problem! Congrats on the new guitar! Glad you’re happy with it now 😄. If you were to swap out the pickups, do you know one which ones you’d go with?
Geez, that’s heavy for a guitar 😅. This guitar is relatively light which I appreciate!
Haven't really thought about what pickups to swap out with, but I'll go with these for a bit and see how I like them. My Les Paul is a 1976 Deluxe - Norlin era pancake body. Sounds and plays incredible and sustains for days, but it literally weighs around 12 lbs. When I was young I didn't mind so much, but I'm in my 60s now. The PRS is comparable to my strat in weight. I was taking my Gretsch hollowbody out instead, but it's hard to control the feedback. So far after tweaking it I'm pretty happy with it, can't wait to take it out for a test drive!
@@guithawk-ij8is gotcha! Regardless, I hope you get the tone you're looking for with whatever pickups you decide to go with! That's wild!! 12lbs is super heavy for a guitar. I hope the test drive goes well!
Beautiful guitar brother 💯 I did a handful of mods to mine. Had Sweetwater satinize the neck, swapped the pickup rings to the PRS Ivory set, PRS lampshade knobs, cream switch tip, GraphTech tuners/nut and am putting a set of Seymour Duncan Pegasus/Sentient to better suit my style of playing.
Most people won't need to mod as much as me, most of my mods are personal preference.
Thank you! 😄. How do you like it with the ivory pickup rings and the SD Pegasus/Sentient pickups? I'm still in between getting those pickups or the PRS 59/09s and getting the SD ones in a different guitar.
Mods to be are the fun part because you can tweak it to your liking. I hope you're enjoying the guitar so far!
@@bjackson4 I really enjoy it. The ivory really adds a nice contrast to me. I dig the SD set of pickups. The Pegasus is more medium output which I like and I play a lot of progressive metal so big chords are very clear. It also works well when I jam to some blues or classic rock as well. Very versatile.
The import SE pickups weren't bad at all, but more PAF than I like. I love the look of the PRS USA pickups with the squared off look. Those with some ivory pickup rings would make yours pop.
@adamstrachn thank you for the insight! I appreciate it 🙏🏽
if you do change the pickups out, what pickups do you think would go well in a PRS guitar? I've never owned a PRS and I'm thinking about buying one.
I’m currently leaning towards not swapping them out for now. They just released an update on their S2 models and they now come with USA pickups. So I might get one of those and keep this guitar as is.
I don’t know too much about pickups but I did enjoy the PRS 85/15s when I briefly played them so if I were to pick a set those would be one of my top options. I’ve heard great things about different Seymour Duncan pickups like the Pegasus/Sentient set as well but ultimately it depends on what you’re looking for.
Do you want something with higher output, lower output, or somewhere in between?
Hi bro, good day, just purchased my exact guitar that you have now and I wanted to order or buy PRS Locking Tuners may I know where you buy yours?
Hello and good day to you as well! I bought my PRS SE Locking Tuners on Amazon, but I know Sweetwater has them as well.
@bjackson4, if it's okay if I ask you the link. Coz I'm worried I might buy the wrong item
What is diff between this model and se custom 24? They have same pickup
The biggest differences are this guitar (SE CE24) has a bolt on neck that is satin while the se CU24 has a set neck that is gloss. A minor difference is the SE CE 24 has a toggle switch (3-way) as opposed to a blade switch (3-way) on the se CU24.
@@bjackson4 is any diff in sound?
They should sound pretty similar
Does it stay in tune with the use of the trem
Good question! I haven’t had any issues with tuning stability while using the trem but I don’t go hard on it like dive-bombing.
some one who plays guitar, should never screw up the audio in post production bro, BASIC!!
Is this related to this video or another one? Either way, I’m learning and improving as I go and will get better with time 😎
3:00 Clean tones sound great.
Thank you! 😄
The original runs of the CE had a matte black headstock. They didn't, OTOH, have birds.
Thank you for the insight! I’m glad these ones have both 😄
For me I personally wouldn’t consider a SE CE PRS because if you look at it next to the US CE PRS they look totally different 🫤 the carve should be much closer to the US version and it would be easy since a c&c machine would do the bulk of the work 🤦🏻♂️
That’s a fair point! I personally prefer the carve on the SE to the US one. The US one was uncomfortable to my arm, unfortunately.
@@bjackson4 as long as you are happy unfortunately I wouldn’t be 😉
Haha fair enough 😅
@bjsckson4 I ordered one from my local music store last week. I hope to have it in hand soon. Same color!
Sweet! 😄. I hope it arrives soon 🙏🏽. Great choice on the color! 😎
