Before You Buy An Expensive Guitar...
I bought the Silhouette. I should have gotten the Rebel instead.
What don’t you like about the Silhouette? Is it something related to the feel or sound? Or something else? Just curious :).
@bjackson4 Niether. I love my Silhouette. See, I ordered the Silhouette from Sweetwater. I drove there to pick up the Silhouette, and while I waited for it, I played a demo Rebel. It was cheaper than the brand new Silhouette, but it was a fantastic guitar. So is the Silhouette. But I should have saved some money and bought the Rebel. That's all I meant. I played two Harmony guitars, and both ARE DEFINITELY WORTH THE MONEY!!! high quality guitars for real.
Ah gotcha! Thank you for sharing! 😄
holy shit that abasi goes HARD!
Thanks! 😄
Bought one last year. Love it!
Glad you enjoy yours!! 😄
I put an order in the first week of January 2024 for one of the new Schecters and I’m starting to feel some excitement for it to arrive. According to the shop it’s supposed to ship from manufacturer on June 20th so hopefully this time next month it will be a NGD
Nice! I hope it arrives soon and that you enjoy it 😄
Awesome geetarr brother! I have a Valentine. This brand is next level!
Thank you! Ooo nice! I would love to check out a Valentine in the future, and actually considered it before getting this one. My main concern was no arm carve though 😅. It looks amazing though. I hope you enjoy it! EBMM is awesome!
what effects pedals do you use?
Great question. I’m using the NeuralDSP Archetype: Cory Wong plugin. Specifically the Jack Gardiner Artist preset called 80s pop chorus or something
What is the name difference between that finishing the satin...
Hey just to double check did you mean main difference? If so, I haven’t gotten my hands on the Satin one so I don’t want to speak of the feel, but from a spec perspective the satin one is all mahogany body while this one is a mahogany body with a maple veneer cap on it. Plus the gloss finish. And I believe the back is painted on the satin one. The one in this review is a natural back
I found out the difference between the two guitars is the price. The one with the gloss-like finish is a bit more expensive than the other. Considering the satin sc ce 24... Maybe the squire Nashville Stratocaster... Quite possibly the fender lead 2, my very first guitar...1982. I need something to work with. My collection of 10 guitars over the last 40 years was stolen. Got to kick out the Jams man!🎸😎♥️
limited budget... Save up for upgrade in future.
@@jblues145 Gotcha gotcha! If you do decide to get one of them, I hope you enjoy it!
thank you so much for the tutorial!
No problem! Thank you for your patience. I hope it helps!
$3500 for ANY guitar is way too much. Anything over 2k is a joke
I disagree. There are some phenomenal instruments out there both under and over 2k. Doesn’t make them a joke, just means they are priced where they are. If you want the guitar over 2k and can afford it then go for it. Otherwise get something else
cool gtr great sound
Thank you! 😄
tabs mate plsss
I haven’t made tabs before but I’ll give it a go. If it’s taking too long then I’ll make a follow up tutorial video. Gotta do one for Tek it by Cafune first tho
@@bjackson4 Thanks mate
Sorry for the late response! I have a video up on how to play this if you’re interested 😄
@@bjackson4 man no problem at all, thank you very much for that

Awesome video and guitar!🎸🙌
Thank you! I appreciate it 😄
Replacing the tuners will help improve neck dive. Also its possible to remove the nitro finish off rhe back of the neck using fine grit sandpaper. Im planning to do both on my silhouette
Nice nice! Do you plan to use another set of locking tuners? Or a different kind?
I just got a player Tele with single coils. I’ve been playing almost 40:years (yikes) and I never once played a Telecaster until I purchased this one. Now I’m hooked. Lol. Looking to add this one and think that’ll cover me for all the things I like to play now. Great review and demo. Thanks. 👍
Glad you’re enjoying the SS Tele! 😄. This one may feel a little different to your current one because it has a belly cut but besides that they should feel similar. Thank you so much! I appreciate it 🙏🏽
Sounds great and love your playing! I have the same guitar in the same finish and I'm in love with it
Thank you! That means a lot to me 😄🙏🏽. I’m happy that you’re enjoying yours!
Aw man, it sounds killer!
Thank you! I agree 😄
Been looking at one. I need a strat ish guitar.
I recommend it! It’s a great guitar. Either way I hope you find the one for you 😄
That thing sounds sick! Was more a Stingray type of person, but now I’m eyeing one of these.
Thank you! I considered the stingray before I got my first Cutlass but really wanted the HSS format. I’m sure the stingray rips tho!
can you make a tutorial pls? i really wanna learn this song
Sure! Please give me some time to make it though since this will be my first time doing it 🙏🏽

great job man that sounds amazing!

Hi I'm a first time vieuwer, and I thought I was watching a big youtuber because of the production quality, how comfortable you are speaking to the camera and how helpfull and well tought out the video itself was. These are tips that I will definitely keep in mind if I buy another guitar, thanks alot Edit: I'm subscribed :)
Hello! Thank you so much for watching 😄. Thank you for the kind words as well. That means so much to me 🙏🏽. I appreciate the sub as well 😄. I hope these tips serve you well.
That finish is unreal dude. Similar to Jason Richardson's one. I got a Champagne master series from the Jan 2022 run and I've been enamoured with it since but I'm finding for one like yours.
Thank you! 😄. I do love the design on it. And yeah it is similar to Jason’s. The Champagne is such a good finish! 🙏🏽.
🔥🔥🔥
Thank you! 😄
Good Job!
Thank you! 😄
Thanks for doing this review. I just bought one from Sweetwater and I'm waiting for it to arrive. There is literally no other video or review that I could find on the Sonic Blue Special Silhouette. It's the only Silhouette with P90s and I was super curious as to how much spank it had compared to the other humbuckers. Although it was a brief demo, it sounded like it has a nice clean sparkle tone.
Thank you for watching! I hope you enjoy the guitar 🙏🏽. Sorry about that. I’ll be doing a 1 month review either next Sunday or the Sunday after that and it will have more playing in it 🙏🏽.
Sorry I forgot to mention this. I think the pickups are actually Mini-Humbuckers and not P90s. I reached out to my Sweetwater rep to confirm, but this may be a typo on their website. Under the tech specs on that page it lists mini-humbuckers but in the description it says P90s. The Harmony Juno has P90s and these pickups do not look like those. I can follow up once I hear back from my rep at Sweetwater.
Okay I heard back from my Sweetwater rep. It was a typo on their website. The pickups are confirmed the mini-humbuckers and not p90s.
@@bjackson4 Thanks a lot Bryce for checking into that! I have seen conflicting descriptions regarding the p90s on a couple of websites. I was thinking the same as you that the p90s on the Juno looked different in appearance compared to this Silhouette but assumed they were wound as p90s with a mini humbucker cover. Now I know for sure. I will let you know how I like the guitar when I get it. I have a feeling that I am going to love it regardless. This limited edition is so cool and retro looking. Much appreciated!
No problem! 😄. I hope you enjoy yours but yes please let me know your thoughts once you get it 🙏🏽
There is no point in " Price Point'. Stop it kids.
What do you mean? People look for guitars in specific price ranges or “points”. That’s part of the reason why I got this guitar. It was in the range I was looking for.
Thanks 😀
No problem! Thank you for watching! 😄
The issue with neck is cause its a nitro finish which could get sticky sometimes. These Harmony guitars are cool and made in the old Gibson factory along side Heritage Guitars (same owners). I hope they both succeed. It’s hard to find relatively affordable American made, nitro, stylish guitars with history behind them.
Thank you for letting me know! I appreciate it 😄. I hope both companies succeed as well! I haven’t played a Heritage guitar but the Silhouette is sweet.
if you do change the pickups out, what pickups do you think would go well in a PRS guitar? I've never owned a PRS and I'm thinking about buying one.
I’m currently leaning towards not swapping them out for now. They just released an update on their S2 models and they now come with USA pickups. So I might get one of those and keep this guitar as is. I don’t know too much about pickups but I did enjoy the PRS 85/15s when I briefly played them so if I were to pick a set those would be one of my top options. I’ve heard great things about different Seymour Duncan pickups like the Pegasus/Sentient set as well but ultimately it depends on what you’re looking for. Do you want something with higher output, lower output, or somewhere in between?
some one who plays guitar, should never screw up the audio in post production bro, BASIC!!
Is this related to this video or another one? Either way, I’m learning and improving as I go and will get better with time 😎
And I'm nicking that little run 2:45 in 😂😂a
Haha go for it!
Good advice. Nice one dude
Thank you! I appreciate it! 😄
Neck dive is something I am a bit overly conscious of, I wonder if having a Bigsby helps with that?
That is a good question!
Thanks for the review Bryce! It is very helpful to me. This is the exact color (& price) I want. Looking forward to a black friday PRS sale too this year 😊
Thank you for watching! 😄. I am glad it was helpful! I hope you’re able to get a good deal on one 😄
@@bjackson4 yup! aiming for a black friday prs too here in 🇵🇭 PH
Cool guitar dude, never heard of Harmony brand 🤓thanks for the content
Thank you! 😄. They make some cool guitars IMO. Thank you for watching! 🙏🏽
I am definitely going to try this one! Thanks for sharing
I hope it serves you well! No problem. Thank you for watching!
Would it be useful for getting a singing lead tone? To tame high frequencies?
Great question! I believe so
The Harmony sounds great and is beautiful. I’ve been interested in this model for awhile.
It’s a unique guitar for sure!
omg 7:32 I can't play my prog, those bumps are actually ruining my experience of this instrument. I use the base of 6 string as anchor to pick faster lines, and that bump digs into my wrist and I can't stress enough how annoying that is and there is no real way around it unless i wanna wear cloth (like a longer shirt) over the base of my palm. I might have to send this one back to the store. What a design flaw!
Sorry to hear that! I do not find it that comfortable when I’m alternate picking so I know where you’re coming from 😞
I @@bjackson4 I have to take back some of what I said, it is playable. I am still adjusting to it, (new guitar for me). so by moving the anchor of my wrist like 2 mm up and left I manage to plant my wrist in a way that allows me to pick. But yes, it is just luck. and really depends on what technique is used. Not fun to realize you can't play comfortably your own ergonimic guitar. Thank you for the Review!!!!
Thank you for the follow up! 😄. That’s a good idea moving your hand up a little bit but yeah if it’s not used to what you’re doing then it feels like extra. I hope you enjoy the guitar!! No problem! 😄
I have one and im planning on replacing the locling tuners - it'll improve the neck dive!
Nice! What tuners are you going with?
Thankyou so much for mentioning the lack of forearm contour, i thought it may help with the belly cut but that uncomfortable playing position is why i had to sell my japan aerodyne tele it had no forearm contour or belly cut and ehile the body wasn't sharp it definitely felt like it was on ny forearm, you have just saved me some time, ill look into a player strat with a humbucker instead but the issue with that is the volume control being too close to your hand when you palm mute and thats where my hand likes to olay most of the time, maybe out a killswitch there and move the volume down and have a master tone instead of two tones for me might be the go
@milotin2755 No problem! I actually thought the same thing with having the belly cut but yeah unfortunately, it didn't help. Bummer about the Aerodyne tele though! Through some pics I've seen of that guitar it made it seem like it had an arm carve so I was curious. Thank you for confirming it does not have one! Happy to help though. I agree with you on the volume control being too close to your hand when palm muting on a strat. How do you feel about other S guitars like Music Man/Sterling Cutlass, Yamaha Pacifica, etc.? They only have 2 knobs. I actually recently got the MM Cutlass and have been enjoying that guitar a ton.
That's exactly the same reason I got a strat with a humbucker instead of this hh telecaster, the strat is just more comfortable to play
The neck pickup sounds very warm in clean tone, I like that. Very nice review and that blue color is beautiful.
Thank you so much! I appreciate it 😄
Man I guess I am a couple months too late for the 549.00 price, now in FEB everyone is selling for 699.00 dang it. lol
Yeah it’s back up to its full retail price 😅. PRS did just release a SE CE 24 Satin though! I believe it goes for 499.00.
I really like the shine , not so much on the satin.
Very well played and great guitar sound my friend!🎸
