This is the best sound comparison review I've ever seen. You play exactly the same riff (as much as humanly possible) on both guitars, switching back and forth frequently so it's easy for the listener to tell the difference. To me the DGT was a little warmer, the Custom 24 had a little more presence. Which one I liked better depended on the riff. Thank you.
Thank you so much mate, that's awesome of you, really appreciate it! Your views on how both guitars sounded are very much in line with what I heard at my end as well. 🍻
What a brilliant video . I totally agree with your thoughts that the DGT is a much fuller sound compared to the punchy bright sound of the CE 24 SE . I played a DGT SE today and found the neck a bit bulky and noticed there’s no binding which I thought would be on a nearly £1000 guitar . Can’t wait to try a SE CE 24 as I have a Silver Sky SE and the neck is great on it and the CE 24 looks very to it .
Thank you mate, appreciate you checking the video out. If a slimmer neck and brighter guitar is what you're looking for, the SE CE 24 is very hard to beat :)! 🍻
For me I would prefer the CE 24 just because I like the bolt on neck with an oil finish. I never liked the feel of a painted and laquer finished neck against my hand. I find it feels sticky especially in the heat of the summertime.
Thank you so much for your awesome videos! Your previous SE CE 24 comparison was great (and just what I had been looking for), and now this one is equally enjoyable. I haven't seen such thorough and high quality tone comparisons yet! As for the guitars, there were some tones that I preferred on the DGT, and some others on the CE24, but generally, in the mix, I would not know one from the other. I have ordered myself an SE CE 24, just because I believe it would be a bit more "stratty" when I need it, still allowing to get some of those meaty tones.
Thank you so much my friend, that's extremely nice of you, really appreciate it! Great choice on the SE CE 24, it surely can deliver those nice strat tones as well as powerful humbucker tones that cut right through a mix, I'm sure you'll enjoy your guitar 🎸🍻
Subbed, man! I already listed DGT as one of my dream guitars. This video proves why. ⭐️👏 Effortless playing. Amazing tones. 🫡 Your production is top-notch. Keep going!
Hi Gabriel, 1st off, love your videos! I watch them over and over, especially your comparison videos. You write very good basic & easy to understand demo riffs and solos to showcase the guitars so well. In fact, I'm going to figure out how to play some of your riffs b/c I'm going to Japan again and will try out a bunch of cool ESP guitars over there. So if I can play your riffs, I will sound cool in the store 😎 As for PRS guitars, I had difficulty playing the Schizoid SE model with the Wide Thin neck. So I'm trying to avoid any PRS wide thin neck guitars. But then again, maybe it was just that PRS Schizoid SE that was hard to play overall? I'm shopping around for my 1st PRS now and will probably decide later this year. Will be looking forward to your next video! 👍
Thank you so much my friend, super nice of you! Honored that you feel like playing some of my riffs on your trip to Japan! Hope you have a nice time over there, would to visit one day and go to Ochanomizu Guitar Street. I'd definitely try a newer PRS model, they have really stepped the QC and general setup with the newer releases, honestly couldn't believe how effortless to play my SE CE 24 was straight out of the box :)!🍻
Mate, this is hands down the best comparison, side by side, real time video I think I’ve ever seen. The fact that the melodies you played are ear candy just makes it even better. For me it’s the DGT. Just has that full, wide sound. Excellent video.
Thank you so much mate, that's very cool of you, really appreciate it! Agreed, as much as I like the CE there's something really special about the DGT, it's such a great sounding and playing instrument.
Great video and comparison. Personally I don’t think one is better than the other, there two different guitars. I have no interest at all in the DGT but I own the CE. I love the CE, it’s an awesome guitar at any price. If it costs twice as much I’d still buy it. It’s all about preference, I’m more into instrumental music and like to shred so naturally go for the one with the faster neck and the bolt on neck gives it more snap. I’m sure the DGT is great just not my thing. Once again great video, very high quality.
Thank you mate, really appreciate it! For sure, I don’t think one is better than the other, very different instruments that appeal to different types of players. The CE is a fantastic instrument for sure 🙂🍻
I’m going to echo what others have said concerning your review. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 5 stars all around !! Easily one of the most thorough reviews with excellent playing examples and thoughtful analysis of each instrument. I just subscribed. My pick is the CE24 because I prefer thinner necks and satin finishes. I just wish PRS would offer some more options for colors. I would like to see some painted options like the John Mayer SE offers. Both sounded really great with your samples. 👍🏻
Another excellent video, your comparisons are top tier! Its what Envision doing but lack the skill and ability :D Well Done Excelente trabalho! Muito bom mesmo
@@gabriel_guitar The Dgt got a price drop. A while back it was around 1200 euro's. Now i tried one for 940 euro's (tobacco one). I couldnt get it out of my head after playing it. I was within the retour option, so i returned the CE and got the DGT. The CE is really good, but the overall sustain, pickups, quality is better to me on the dgt. For me strats hss sound to bright, and i love the sound of gibson (but cant stand the body thickness and weight). To me this is the perfect guitar blend between the two. The body feels like a strat, neck feels more like a gibson (but less thick). Sound is very focused, but oh so nice (really gibson like). I also get less hand fatique, the ce was faster but it was a bit to small for my liking i press pretty hard so more cramps but the dgt corrects the hard pressing. Also when soloing could play with more feel. Great comparison and one of the reasons got the dgt instead of the ce. Ready for some alter bridge / or tremonti now -> or some blues on other days.
I have the SE CE 24 and went through 2 of them before I was sent a decent one with no issues. Even the 3rd had an issue I'm willing to ignore. The inlay bird at the 5th fret is cracked. And the tone switch knob is raised and can see the nut/bolt. I don't mind cause it's perfect for my finger to slip undeneith and split coil without having to actually grab it. Whatever. My first prs and most likely won't be getting another one. My squire telly feels better lol
Sorry to hear about your bad experience with these guitars mate. Not sure, but it sounds like the retailer was trying to get rid of a couple of b-stocks, I’ve had that happen to me in the past.
What do you awesome people think of these 2 PRS SE offerings? Do they live up to the hype? And which one would get? The PRS SE DGT or PRS SE CE 24?

GREAT JOB!!! Thanks for your videos and your music.
I continue to enjoy the brighter sounds of the CE 24, although I like the way they both sound.
Thank you my friend, really appreciate it! Nice one, the CE is a fantastic guitar for the money 🙂
This video is KILLER and totally earned a sub and like. Timestamps galore, iso tracks and killer riffs in context??? For real man, good job.
Thank you so much mate, that’s very cool of you! Glad you enjoyed the video and subbed to the channel, appreciate it🍻

The bulkier neck on the DGT also gives a fuller sound.

DGT all day, but I'm biased because I have one and I love it! Killer video as always sir!

Nice one mate, that's the one gripe I have with the SE DGT, would prefer if it was satin or unfinished 🤘
Thank you so much for your awesome videos! Your previous SE CE 24 comparison was great (and just what I had been looking for), and now this one is equally enjoyable. Both of these guitars are great. Either one is well worth the money. PRS is quality from core to SE. Can’t go wrong!!!
Absolutely my friend, both are fantastic instruments for the money 👍🏻

PRS se ce 24 great guitar 🔥🎸🙏🏾
To my ears the DGT handles the drive a bit better than the CE24. On the other hand the CE24 shimmers a bit better than the DGT
Nice one mate, yeah, pretty much how I hear these guitars too 🍻
DGT's are going in Australia for around £600 (GBP) at the moment, I think I'll grab one, they look great.
That's quite the bargain, hard to find a better guitar at that price point tbh
I ordered a turquoise ce on Wednesday🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 can’t wait
Awesome, congrats on your new guitar 🍻
Beautiful guitar that PRS SE CE24 is 🎸 Wonderful comparison, aamzing content.
Thank you very much, really appreciate it 🎸
Waiting on a dgt right now.
Nice one mate, fantastic instruments, one of my fav guitars for sure. 🍻

Thank you so much mate, very cool of you and it means a lot :)! Totally agreed, would be great to see some solid colours on these models 🍻
CE24 was snappier, more fender like. The DGT sounds phenomenal, very Les Paul like if that makes sense?
Absolutely mate, that’s very much how I would describe the tonal differences between the 2 🍻
Another excellent video, your comparisons are top tier! Its what Envision doing but lack the skill and ability :D Well Done
Excelente trabalho! Muito bom mesmo
Thank you so much Rafael, very cool of you mate!! Obrigado pela força e por checares os vídeos. 🍻🎸
SE CE24 I prefer. Love your demo.
Thank you my friend, really appreciate it!
PRS SE CE 24 vs PRS SE CE 24 Satin 2024 please??
Hi mate, that could be an interesting video to make for sure, I'll look into it :)!
Nice playing.
Thank you mate, appreciate it 🍻
Prs se ce for me, price quality wise its a better purchase. Though the dgt is awesome aswell.

I seen no difference in sound…one definitely looks better..and one definitely costs more.
