Thank you so much for explaining this so simply I look through so many video before I saw this to get my answer. Also I got so much more information I didn't know I needed, Again Thank you.
Thank you Angie Holden for this awesome video. I'm new to Cricut and this video is very informative. The blade for fabric, is this strictly for the cricut air? Can it be used with the maker?
The bonded fabric blade can be used in either one technically but only for bonded fabric. In the Maker, I would use the rotary blade for both bonded and non-bonded fabric as it is going to do a much better job.
Thank you for this video I was going to return my blades because I thought I for the wrong ones for my maker lol thanks again for this video and for saving me from looking silly
So I bought the engraving tip with the quick swap housing. I bought the rotary blade kit, not knowing the housing was not part of it. Can the rotary blade be used in the same housing that the engraving tip uses?
No the rotary blade is a different housing but it should have came with your Maker. You just swap the tips on the rotary blade that is with your Maker.
I bought a barely used Cricut Maker but for some reason it didn't come with the rotary blade so I bought one, however I put them all in the machine tool organizer before memorizing which one is which and I'm not sure if I ended up buying the rotary blade housing or not. Can you show me the rotary blade housing without the blade in it please?
Hello... I’m just coming across your videos... I just ordered the different blades & tips. My question is how do you get the wavy Abby perforation blades out of the plastic case it comes in?
I'm trying to cut some vinyl that is fabric backed. My regular knife blade doesn't cut it all the way through, and it is metallic textured vinyl, I used that in the materials choices. Can I interchange a deep blade refill in the regular fine point holder? I have the Maker.
Thank you so much for the basic instructions. I’ve had my maker for a while, but have been terrified. The book is not very much help. The other videos have 20 minutes of a sales pitch.
The fine point and deep point are the same blades for both. The rotary, knife, scoring wheel, and those others that use the quick swap housing are not able to be used in the explore air 2.
Thank you Angie Holden for this awesome video!
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you so much for explaining all of the blades! I own a Joy and just got a Maker. The blades were very confusing until watching your video!
All your videos are so nice and easy and informative
Glad you like them!

Thank you so incredibly much for doing this video! It helped me sooo much. It had everything i needed to know!

Thank you for your video. Can you use the silver or gold housing in the explore air 2 for a deep point blade?
Either one. They are the same.
Thanks! You just saved the day for me
Glad I could help!
Angie....thank you do much for this video !!
No problem 😊

Attach them to the housing then pull on the plastic.
@@AngieHolden thank you I’ll have to try it again because when I did try that it didn’t work...
I never put them back on so I don't remember how hard they were to pull off!
@@AngieHoldencause it was hard... I maybe saying the same as you I’ve never put them so stay tuned🤞🏾lol
My blade clamp seems loose at times and lets the blade housing slide up. Is there a way to make the clamp tighter?
Not that I know of. You might contact Cricut.
Angie, do you know if the red capped fine point blade can be used in the Cricut Maker?
As far as I know, that should work fine.
Hi! So each blade has its own housing, and one housing can’t use two different blades?
That is correct. The only exception are the tips for the Maker which use the QuickSwap housing.
Hi Angie can you please tell me do all the blades fit the Explorer 2 as I have been given one on permanent loan to use how and when I want to.
Try this: ua-cam.com/video/yRFuJJseDRY/v-deo.html
@@AngieHolden Sorry I put the wrong machine down before it is The Expression 2 I have
Ah that is an older machine and I don't have content on that one.
I think you put the old knife blade back in! I had to rewind the video to see it
Oh my! I think you are right! Well...off to change that again!
wow loved this
Thanks!
Thanks homegirl!

No you will need the deep point housing. Do you have an Explore or a Maker?
@@AngieHolden Maker
Did you try your rotary blade? I find that is does a great job on things like that.
@@AngieHolden It doesn't give you an option to change your tool.
Yep that is correct. Pick something that is similar in thickness but uses the rotary blade. Like medium or heavy weight fabric.
Thank you so much for the basic instructions. I’ve had my maker for a while, but have been terrified. The book is not very much help. The other videos have 20 minutes of a sales pitch.

what can you do when the blade does not touch the paper on the air 2
You probably don't have it installed correctly. Make sure it is all the way down before closing the clamp.
can I use the Cricut maker blades with the Cricut explore air 2 ?
The fine point and deep point are the same blades for both. The rotary, knife, scoring wheel, and those others that use the quick swap housing are not able to be used in the explore air 2.
Angie Holden thanks💛✨
what if your blade gets hung
Hung on what?
@@AngieHolden it’s stuck in the blade housing !
If you push the plunger on the top, nothing happens? Sounds like your housing may be broken and you would need a new one.
Why doesn’t Cricut explain this?? Thank you soooo much!!💕
