Thanks Laura 👍🏼 they take a while, but I think it’s worth it!
fantastic editing mate, appreciate the work that goes in
Thanks mate. They take time, but I think the output is worth it 😎
Great video ! I fitted a short shifter this morning . It took me about 30 mins to fit . Not difficult to do. A few tips on doing it . Use a 7mm socket to loosen clips on air intake hose . Do it while the engine is cool ! Use some silicon lubricant to push air hose back on , makes it so much easier .
I’m really pleased with this mod . Thanks JB for the discount code .
Thanks Stephen! Enjoy the new short shifter 😎
Great video as always dude. This is a simple mod and makes a big difference. Everyone should do this.
Thanks mate, and cheers for watching 😎 when you getting your ST? 🤪
Thank you , I have just installed the short shifter , if people are installing a induction kit this is perfect to do at the same time , I had already installed a induction kit so was easy to take off. Gear changes are perfect on the 20% :) if it wasn’t for this video I would not have done it because I was expecting to crawl about under the car for a mad like this
The Fresh Air Company Glad it was of use :)
I always enjoy your videos and did some of the minor changes like sequential LED indicators in the mirrors and Fog lights. But probably will never do these things and just learn and enjoy watching you do it. Keep up the good work and videos!
Glad you are enjoying them! How many do I need to make to convince you to modify further? 🤪😂 Thanks for your kind words!
Mountune short-shifter for me but it was a MASSIVE pain to fit! I ended up removing the battery, battery tray and air box to give me maximum room. It does have a quality feel to the changes though.
Yeah, it is a little more involved to fit!
Was it just difficult to access to knock the pin out holding the original in?
@@ecTRICKY - Some people have found that the supplied "drift" from Mountune worked easily. For my car it just wouldn't budge. I ended up purchasing a Stanley Punch (drift) kit from Amazon and used a heavy lump hammer. It was really difficult to get the 'rolled pin' to initially move, but once moving then it was quite straightforward. It did need quite a lot of force to make it move, so I took out the air box, battery, battery tray to give me maximum room. Taking off the battery box is a pain as there is a module (ECU?) which you need to un-bolt via some tricky bolts. A small socket set plus short and long extension bars is a must!
Did this on my Mk7.5. 2017 4 cylinder. 1.6 ST , last of the really tuneable safely ones and a great easy improvement ,over 'stock' shift which was already 'very good' !!
Done this on me st180. However still looking forward to video. 😁👍
A great bang for buck mod on these 😎
Please continue with these wonderful videos!!!
Great video and funky tunes as always
Hail from Russia, Vladivostok. Nice video! Now, i want quickshifter.
Top work as always 👌
Thanks Paul!
Quality videos 10/10✅
Jack Fenton cheers mate 💪🏼
This is amazing. Thanks for sharing. I am getting this for sure. Thanks!!!!
No problemo!
@@JBCTR I have alrady made my order. I can't wait to fit it into my ST.
Nice content as always
GREAT VIDEO im off to buy one now :)
Great JB!
Hello JB i am the proud new owner of your Fiesta.
Well that was sold quickly! And the spare key went with the car! 🤔 Enjoy!
If you use a 7 mm instead of a flat head on the intake bolts makes it a lot easier to remove them
Not going to lie... this was sheer laziness. The 7mm was literally next to the car but it was much easier to grab a flat head 😂
i just bought myself a Mk8 ST, what rims are they? they look brilliant!
Thanks! They’re Revo RV018’s. More information in the video linked below :) enjoy the new car!

Is it a ST-Line?
Dumb question, but would this fit on the 1.1 ti vct with the 5 speed gearbox? I doubt it but I might as well ask!
No, I don’t think so!
Johnny, do you know of the Mountune short shift serves any advantage over one of these bolt on ones?
Also have you ever considered getting your car on LLF or similar?
Hi Darren, I couldn’t tell you unfortunately as I’ve not driven a car with the Mountune shifter fitted!
The car has been on Hampshire Photography and JayEmm on cars in the past. I tend to stick with my own stuff though if I’m honest as it’s just easier!
Hello Jonny, I’m 19 and just about at 2 years no claims, looking at getting my second car. Would you recommend the mk8 st? (The finance of it isn’t a problem so it’s more just about the drive quality)
Hello mate. Yup, it’s an epic car. 👍🏼
Hey Jonny, is there a part 4 coming on the vinyl wrap project?
Glad you asked! It’s in the making, but I wasn’t sure if anyone was actually interested. If so, I’ll push on and get it finished 😎
@@JBCTR Brilliant thanks, all the content you upload is interesting. Looking forward to this one. Well done 👍
James Fenlon Thanks 😁
Is there any point in me getting the ST-Line x 140 ps I’m only on my 1 year nc that’s all
Yup, you’ll notice it - makes quite a significant difference 😎
JB CTR ah cool thanks for the reply bro 😊👍 keep up the great videos
Good vid , have one ❤️ it
Will it be the same as a fiesta mk8 stline 2019
Thanks for the great video Man!
(You should really get rid of the mudflaps 😁)
Thanks dude! Hate to say it... I actually quite like them 😂
Sorry, is it avaible also for fiesta st-line 1.5 120 HP?
I have tried to install the quickshifter about 1 hour ago, the installation itself was easy but clearly i've done something wrong because now also without the quickshifter i can't engage the reverse. I don't know why. There is something under the gear knob that may be detached? (sorry for my bad english)
Prefer the ceuk one over Airtec?
I guess so! They’re much of a muchness as they have to fit in the same place and perform the same function, so there’s only so much thet can change from brand to brand. The CEUK one is cheaper and looks to have a little more metal, so that gets my vote.
ive heard that these can mash your gears or syncors, especially on the red edition 140 Zetec s
Does it effect your insurance?
What alloys have you got 😍👀
They're Revo alloys: ua-cam.com/video/Y1ZT2KLIyps/v-deo.html
Did you finish off wrapping the car?
Yup, it’s all finished and filmed but I didn’t think many people were that interested, so I’ve been a little slow of the mark to finish the video. I’ll get on it 😎
@@JBCTR No worries, I've been waiting for it to be uploaded lol. Thought I'd missed it somewhere along the line 😂
How long did it take you to fit
Not long at all!
Are these bad for the clutch/ gearbox does anyone know
Hi there, it’s unlikely as the shifter arm moves in exactly the same way. The only difference is the length of travel in the gear linkage.
@@JBCTR I wouldn't be so sure, I've got a short shift on my Mk8 myself but debating to take it off as in 6th gear it does make contact with another piece of plastic linkage. Apparently after long term it causes damage as 6th isnt properly engaged. Also the plastic linkage gets damaged and may just break on you one of the days meaning you won't be able to change gear at all so you'll be stranded... Someone needs to re design all current short shifters with the exception of mountunes replacement.
I'm in agreement here I think it looks like a half arsed solution to a problem that doesn't exist. The mountune version is the right choice if you must shorten the throw but all you'll is wear the syncro rings out 25% quicker.
What rims are those?
Revo Alloys. Video here: ua-cam.com/video/UhDN-1qzG-w/v-deo.html
doesnt this car already have a short shift?
There's absolutely nothing wrong with the standard shift. The gear shifter itself is a little low if anything but you soon get used to it.
Don’t suppose you have the spare key 😆
I hope you put your tools away before going into the garden.
I can't wait to get rid of my MK8 fiesta worst car iv ever got
Home comes?
@@Chappers.Gaming iv had problems since day one head gasket leaking oil speedo not stable the list goes on
@@Ghost44681 that sucks man, is this just for the normal Mk8 or the ST? That's really bad :(
@@Chappers.Gaming iv got the ST-3 with all options with it buddy .. at the moment ford aren't helping just pointing the finger blaming me ...

I'll be staying away from ford after this one
the head gasket oil leak is a known issue for mk8 ST on specific production models, its an easy and 1 day fix and its caused because there is no flange - instead they only put loctite. The car has no issues running even with the leak because normally its nothing too noticeable. I suspect the other problems you're refering to are minor issues which any car, at this price point and not only, can get. If you indeed have so many issues apart from the gasket and you got a faulty car that doesnt mean Ford cars and mk8 ST is the worst car ever made. Go get a VW group car and see yourself
