As a Bat-Chad artiplayer myself, the situation is understandable. Artillery doesn't get the down-the-sights aiming everything else gets. So either he has to use the artillery mode to aim, or 3rd-person view to aim. Both are horrible for close-range shooting. The artillery view goes bonkers because it doesn't understand you're trying to aim closer than your gun depression allows to. One would assume the 3rd person aiming would work better, but it doesn't because of the arching shell ballistics. If you are able to keep the mouse exactly on the profile of the enemy tank, it is ok. But if even for a micro-second, the crosshair goes off the target profile and hits a single pixel of a mountain in the background, the aiming immediately throws itself off because it thinks it has to crank the elevation of the gun to the max in order to hit the far-away mountain.
Can't you go in 3rd person view, aim at the ground in front of you, then lock the gun with RMB before you engage, sure aiming with the hull isn't great but at least the gun won't do silly shit.
3rd person with auto aim for point blank range. Dont bother with artillery mode unless its mid range. Never really had much of a problem aiming when shotgunning with arty...you just have to deal with horrendous reticle bloom from after moving (which is what I thought happened here, but as others have pointed out there is apparently a glitch when switching to 1st/artillery raises the barrel...never seen it personally but the BC did raise barrel just before firing so I guess?)
Thanks for this, glitches lie this fascinate me, also it's nice to be able to exonerate someone when some weird unintended result makes them look stupid.

@@PhilipKerryon the one hand, I do agree that you *can* play WoT completely free buuut it is SO painful (at least in my experience) that you either have to buy credits to avoid going bankrupt OR buying gold to be able to penetrate the tanks you'd face, especially the newer vehicles with strong armour and the premiums oh my gaaaawd. The only premium tank I've bought was the 50TP prototyp and I love it 😂

Unfortunately wargaming has designed their F2P games such that it is absolute torture to play F2P and the games encourage you to fork over $60 at every opportunity because wargaming is so incompetent and greedy that they can't be a financial success without being predatory with microtransactions

That would’ve pissed me off so bad. Had that happen to me a few times here and there, drive up right behind the enemy player, for whatever reason the gun randomly elevates, and I completely miss the shot.
@@fayt1175 yep from my experience with going shotgun with the B-C artillery never stop to aim and fire at point blank, just keep driving forward into a collision course and shoot the moment you see tip of the barrel enter into the enemy vehicle, and if that fails commit to the ram, even it if will kill you, you are going to die anyway might as well get a few more damage points in

Must say, the IS-7 is still my favourite heavy tank. Probably riddled with soviet design issues, but it is just so damn cool. (Yes, I know it was just a prototype)
The IS-7 was in fact an extremely good breakthrough heavy tank, being fast, extremely tough from the front (virtually immune to the 12.8 cm Pak 44 at longer ranges), and having a stonking great 130mm gun. Although it's never been officially stated why it remained a prototype, the fact it weighed almost 70 tons, was ludicrously expensive, and was exclusively a breakthrough tank are probably why the lighter, cheaper, more versatile T-10 was adopted.
@@Thunder-54321 Personally, I think it was just the peak of WW2 heavy tank design, that arrived too late for WW2, and at the very end of the era of the heavy tank. At the point when AP potential is measured in meters of steel, lots of rolled steel armour is less a defense, and more dead weight.
@@nazamroth8427 the extreme jump in penetration wouldn't come until a decade or so later when shaped charges really matured. More likely it was just it being too excessive, and perhaps exposure to whatever germany was smoking that encouraged the bigger and better attitude to heavy tank design.

I've seen so many people miss their shots because they try and do that rapid zoom out post shot. This guy missed at least three times in this battle because he was zooming out before actually landing his shots...
The winning Bat-Chat only lost their capture points because they backed into the enemy Bat-Chat and did a ram. But then destroyed the that enemy for the win, so balances out. :)
The E 50 M actually made the right choice in a shit situation. He held the IS7 there as long as possible giving his artillery the maximum possible chance to reload.
I missed a shot just like that yesterday, my ironing board. which was leaning against the wall, sort of randomly fell over, creating a huge unexpected crashing sound, which made me jump and caused me to shoot wild. Frustrating, as it would have been a kolobanovs.
That M60 deserves a TEAMPLAYER AWARD. Did a grate job at backing up his teammates when it mattered.
