- This glitch allows you to effectively self rez like we did in D1. With this you can ignore wipe mechanics, do IRBs, remove debuffs and status effects and more. It is a VERY versatile glitch that I've only scratched the surface of.
This can be a little complicated to fully grasp all you can do with it so please if you have any questions feel free to ask.

The fact the finisher gets transferred to you is super intresting, I wonder if you could transfer it to enemies that aren’t finishable…

I assume the reason you are even chosen as a target for the finisher is because the interaction is between you and this single target so I don't believe it would be able to even see that there are targets besides you and the one you are attempting the finisher on. For some reason in this case it's trying to access a target but it doesn't verify that it's not you so it accidentally grabs your character and kills it because there is only one option.

like they fixed the previous glitches but it resulted in this new one lol
To be honest think about it if you finished yourself you'd just die normally, in my opinion the way your character is removed from the world is more reminiscent of the way PDR works in D1 where your character entity has impossible attributes, whether a desync combined with simultaneous emotes and zfighting of planes with physics or hitting the true edge and receiving impossible coordinates

This is a little confusing but when you load in normally the glitch is active, if you spawn dead or die in a darkness zone it stops working and dying in a non darkness zone will make it work again

You don’t have to use Witherhoard to pull this off, I used lost signal (the new area denial frame grenade launcher) and I was able to do the glitch (although it was very inconsistent).
pretty sure if you die even in a respawn enabled zone in something like a raid, the flawless is immediately gone, this is why jumping puzzles are such a pain.
at the very least, this was for sure the case in Crown of Sorrow and still is in Garden of Salvation unless it's been changed with Final Shape.
nah. Becoming dead and dying are 2 different things. Dying by going into a loadzone thr wrong way and slowly, and joining an encounter mid encounter "kills" you but it doesnt count against flawless or deaths on raid report.
@@irelanddddd it's not the raid report tag i mean, i mean in the sense of a literal flawless triumph. a death, at any point, will ruin fail it. you have to die to be able to do this in the first place no?
@@AKMN_762 no flawless isnt ruined by the weird insta deaths. but yeah you are right you would need to do a real death which I forgot about it.
this would probably work for a petra’s run, since you can die before you activate the wish (unless it respawns you as if wishing to go to an encounter, i don’t remember)
@@twirlypanda not exactly. yes, you could die before the wish and starting the first encounter (no, it is not a respawn wish) - but you need to die IN the load zone of any encounter for the glitch to work. that's a detail that should probably be mentioned, but I am guessing people who share the info don't anticipate anyone looking for a flawless run of anything, let alone Petra Run of LW which is probably the most difficult flawless to achieve. passing between load zones resets the spawn state of the guardian. best case scenario is all but one person on the team could do this but only for the first encounter. this glitch is really meant for solo or team farming individual bosses, sadly - and meant more for people who don't have or want to deal with full teams to begin with. teams that are knowledgeable can typically do raids faster legit by playing the mechanics.

Pdr isn't necessarily required for solo witness, snazzyrock has shown that getting to dps is feasible, it's just actually doing damage since you have 3 phases to do 20m
I had that when doing the day 1 raid Salvation's Edge, i was mid with a friend doing the 2nd encounter and just died mysteriously after using the finisher on the phalanx, my friend was using Dragon's Breath so when i died i saw him as the one who killed me 😂

does this glitch apply once after dead you have to redo the whole finisher thing or just need to do once and you can infinity respawn ?

I found out about the bugged finisher day 1 but didn't realize it could be useful. I kept trying to finish things and dying during the story then I made the connection and instantly stopped using it lol
I managed to do this during the legend campaign without using wither and thought the game was broke lmao. Had no idea it would be part of something this broken.
funny enough this keep happening to me when i was using the finisher an i wasnt using witherhoard it kept bugging an i thought i was tripping.
Can you do this glitch with poison? IE Thorn, Le Monarch, Striga, Necrotic Grip?

This happened to me while i was using the new seasonal grenade launcher not witherhoard tho, (rip) i dont know if this is relevant information but im just now realize this is what happened. As opposed to bungo servers
oh i remember accidentally finishing myself a couple times during campaign. the clip i have all i did was finish a low health takena bit after shooting it with a rocket sidearm though
What’s happening is when he does the game thinks he is in terrain or an asset (your guardian) so the game defaults to killing you like the true edge on the furthest outskirts of the map because it doesn’t know where to put you. This is also just a theory.
Ive been going nuts trying to figure out why ive been getting randomly misadventured. Have my answer now.
Can it bypass timers, like the back to orbit timer in exotic missions or onslaught?
I don't believe so those are more hard wipes
Well, I know I somehow bypassed the timer in The Whisper, though it only happened during the final boss, where the time ran out but I was still able to beat the boss despite having no time.

timers are and have been bugged in general for a long time. just kill the final add on the last second prior to a segment-break and it will disable entirely. (see zero hour time glitch for the best detailed example)
onslaught is not a timed activity, so I am not sure why you would need to bypass a timer. did they change it? if you're referring to the wipe mechanic where the ADU has 0 health, definitely not. that is a hard wipe mechanic. the activity enters failure mode the second ADU reaches 0, alive or dead; or joining allies. even if you throw batteries at it after it reaches 0, the mission is still ended, so there would be no point in trying to use pocket death to buy more time.

Oryx was soloed in D2 already back when Titan Void Banner ignored the wipe mechanic
This is absolutely insane. Is this possible because of the new raid mechanic that puts you in a “fake” death? Because it seems like similar visual effects are applied to your character when you die using this glitch as are when you get finalized or whatever in Verity.
it's because the finisher is working improperly, similar to the time when any finisher would kill you when used on an enemy that dies shortly after activation. Now that glitch has been patched, so this is what happens.
The game more or less gets confused on what is supposed to happen to your character, since otherwise, it should cancel the special animation and you should survive
@@looksnormal the pdr was a thing in d1, extremely interesting failsafe state that opened a lot of stuff in d1, like solo Golgoroth. Now, the glitch you are mentioning is clearly happening. But it’s not “what just happens now” because they patched it. Pretty sure that was patched in lightfall, so you haven’t been able to die due to finishing something that’s dead. And this hasn’t happened until now, and my partner is assuming it’s just because the 4th encounter mechanic is technically happening because code wise the numbers that kill you is dealt by you, and because code is weird, it triggers the raid mechanic. She says “take it with a massive grain of salt, because the coding is way beyond me” so, take it as you will. But it’s a good bet.
I see you did it on a harpy in this video, for the life of my i cannot pull it off on a harpy specifically. is the timing harder than taken?
A little, I'd try using a 450 rpm auto and body shot 3 times then witherhoard

I did this by accident on a raid yesterday and got pissed because i had the brand claimer 😭now i know it worked on a taken knight

This finisher is a mess. When i previewed it in the season pass it crashed my computer
being able to accidentally finisher yourself is the most destiny glitch ive ever seen.
why that finisher specifically? other finisher doesn't work?
any type of "bounds" finisher would work if it exists. it does not actually kill you, it resets you because of the bad animation that gets passed to the guardian; slicing it into pieces. the way this conflicts with your character mesh capsule causes the game to read you in non playable boundaries and forces the character into the last good spawn state in that load zone (the reason for the intentional death before using the glitch which forces a good spawn point in that zone). this happens while doing OOBS from time to time as well if your mesh collides with another nonplayable/bad mesh outside of the defined load zone. not having a forced spawn in a defined zone would place you in the nearest default spawn as if loading into that location from orbit - the reason the game will wipe you if you neglect that step of the glitch.
another example of how bounds work similarly is in the Spire dungeon, where shielded bosses can be eliminated by stacking generic add body parts nearby and using explosives/projectiles to thrust them into the boss' mesh capsule. this works because games normally have no use for respawn protocols regarding bosses. they are intended to be dead once they are dead - so once they are gone, or no longer detectable by the game, they are just gone. many bosses have had their share of bounds issues. not all of them are patched.

solo Crota is and has been possible since it launched. it is just a simple finisher yeet through the skybox. can't really be fixed outside of disabling finishers. they tried to already.

@@carnage9536 Currently the reason the trio isn't possible is it pulls everyone to the inside rooms, so I'm wondering if it would be possible to do the finisher to go back to the outside room.

This sounds crazy but I dont think the finisher is killing you. I think this may be teleporting you to some bs place and that area is killing you instantly. When you slipstream really far OOB, sometimes you hit a barrier that kills+ghosts you instantly and as far as I know, it doesnt count as a death.
Edit: I also want to point out that we’ve seen certain actions with weird finishers have made people start being in a “turn back zone” out of nowhere and randomly, and this was theorized to be caused by having the players position change to somewhere else. So putting the players position into weird locations is not unheard of.
That’s called dying to true edge and is not possible purely by slipstreaming. It’s also unlikely to be that as there are other things that cause these sorts of deaths too such as irbs which this can be used to do where you set a spawn and then die to hitting a load zone.

You're not self rezing you are being revived by game mechanics or you are cheating either cheat suite or you oob'ed out the map and put your spawn else where so the game pulls you in the battle again
