Hi Jack, at last a new video from you, as an old-timer spark I agree with you about showing non-sparks how to do the job properly, as you said they are going to do the job, so may as well do it the correct and safe way, Regards from Ray the old sod from North Wales.
Great video Jack, thoroughly enjoyed that, and good on you showing the proper procedure for the wiring cos as you say diy'rs will do it anyway as youtube is the first place people go to when they want to save money and have a go themselves, when I was a Motor Mechanic and Auto Electrician in 70's and 80's there was no youtube and some of the botched diy jobs I had to correct were downright dangerous, obviously not high voltage but dredded Scotchloc connectors feeding accessories left right and centre causing burnt out wiring looms and vehicle fires, and worst when it was mechanical with failing breaks etc,big up big pal
Your right Ricky mate, we used to do a local council contract and once saw an electric shower plugged in to a socket with a light switch under the shower head to turn the shower on and off, how they didn’t get killed or even burn the switch or socket out is beyond me 😂
Big up yourself Jack, nice work mate huge garden, got me Log-cabin/Man-cave coming in July can’t wait will be running sockets and lights inside, great watch as always, enjoy your weekend buddy.
Hi Jack. Thanks for another great video, nice to see you back. Where did you get the trunking pattress from? I can only get the ones with the round knock out from my suppliers. Would be handy to know for the future. Keep up the great video's.
You have got to be the first electrician stripping the new T&E cable as you would (and I ) with cutters how did you find it? Also, fair play for using the correct trunking adaptors it does make for a better finish. Was there no option to have the outbuilding on its own circuit from the consumer unit?
Yeah mint mate it’s class cable, I’ve done a few rewires in it already and it’s been ace. Strips as normal. Yeah trunking adaptors look a lot better finishes the job off nicely, there was an option but it would have ruined a lot of the garden and the fusboards were on lowest floor of house which was underground and as you can imagine by the garden, the house was mint As no plans to put electric heating in there we were all good with this option
Jacks back! Whayyy😁quick question mate, do you think i could come along with you one of the days because I’m studying for my 18th edition as well as Level 3 city and guilds. But all the theory is annoying and i’d much rather see how things work in person. Keep up the work though mate, you’re smashing it!👌🏻
I know it's not yours, but damn that shed is flimsy. Those pre fab sheds are so poorly made it's unreal. Great job on the electrics though. At least one thing is done correctly lol... Also, one more thing. I'm one of those DIYers who will do the work myself. I'll be installing a new garage unit into a new workshop soon. Would you test and sign? If so, how much? (I live in Willenhall, just outside Wolverhampton).

Hi Jack Nice video , andyour right you may aswell show it all . I know there is no right or wrong way to do this as so many sparks say different just wanted your take on it thx
I would probably rod it if it was this far away from the house and it was a metal building to be fair but aslong as the readings are fine and writhing limits I think personally it’s fine
@JRCElectrical I'm going to do it this way ...the armourd cable cab I run that steait up through the floor and in to a socket on the shed .bypassing the external box ?
Also the socket i wanna run off is alread a spur of a fused spur .so would be no need to have an external one aswell .or would it be easier to use one ...i appreciate ur input 👍@JRCElectrical

Everything we use in videos is from rs electrical supplies and they delivery all over the country, get yourself some ordered dude
Do u not have to worry about the wood splitting after screwing into it when it expands and contracts
No idea, never though about it but not been told of a problem when I’ve done them in the past

Hensel boxes nice 👌
Awesome aren’t they
Is it ok to just run 2.5 of the ring down to run all them sockets and lights, probs guna plug heaters in 🤔
Yeah it will be fine, I always ask if heaters are going to be used ever, if so a bigger cable would be taken back to the board to allow
Okay. The light behind that glass door will be a future problem. Would be better between those 2 left windows.
It would sir, they are putting a stopper tho so the door doesn’t open that wide, that’s where the customer wanted them, we had already discussed that
