My Top Favorite Sentai (at least among those I've managed to finish in their entirety so far): 1. Megaranger 2. Timeranger 3. Dairanger 4. Jetman I also liked GoGo Five, Abaranger, Kakuranger, Zyuranger(mostly due to being the first Sentai series I've watched), and Carranger. Currently watching Magiranger and I am seriously enjoying it so far.
Had never watched Sentai before until recently. Am a long time power rangers fan so I decided to give it a shot after watching your reviews. I may have set the bar too high though since I started with Dairanger. The beginning having so many two part type episodes and having the cast all get a chance to shine as well as setting up plot points for future episodes has not dissapointed at all. I only started a few days ago but I'm already almost half way through the series. So definitely have to agree with the number 1 choice

Yeah, I started with Dairanger, too. It is a fantastic show, but unfortunately it made some of the newer Sentai shows just unwatchable for me. After Dairanger, so many of the newer ones are just 'meh.'
The top 5 best decade of sentai era in my opinion 1st platinum decade: 90s era (it has alot of amazing series 'jetman, zyuranger, dairanger, carranger, megaranger, gingaman, gogofive, ohranger [to me its okay series] and my favorite sentai ever has to be kakuranger) 2nd gold decade: 00s era 3rd silver decade: 80era 4th bronze decade: 2010-2020 era (if not for gokaiger to save the era) 5th copper decade: 75-79 era
I wish that Sentai would take risks again, they always did new stuff in the '90s. They had Jetman, which had 3-dimensional characters only to have my favorite get shafted by tossing him in a love triangle when HE ALREADY HAS A GIRLFRIEND HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME INOUE YOO MOTH-. Zyuranger had the first permanent Sixth Ranger. Dairanger had the first child Ranger (Yes it's controversial either you like Kou or you hated Kou.) Kakuranger was the first Sentai to have a an evil Ranger team an extra and a female leader, even though they made her weak by herself which pisses me off so much. We had Ohranger, which was a trainwreck. Carranger had the Megazord switch limbs (Even if it was for a comedic effect.) I just realized that the first and last '90s Sixth Ranger both died.
I'm not that much of a fan of Super Sentai since I was exposed to Ultraman much earlier. but there where a few Sentai shows that I really enjoyed such as Shinkenger, Magiranger, Ohranger, and surprisingly enough Bioman. Since I was exposed to your review before and you said that the show was boring, but It was the exact opposite for me and I still love it.
Just finished GoGoFive today and gotta say it was fantastic! Definitely one of the best in the franchise! My favorite episodes were episodes 19-22 that had the Hell Sibling arc and the fate of Zylpheeza! Shou is my favorite of the 5 for his his never let anyone behind during a rescue personality! Definitely a great green ranger! Really like the diversity between the two families throughout the series and how the Saima realized that their family is not so perfect after all! I definitely would give GoGoFive a 5 out of 5 a definite watch!
Matoi is definitely my most favorite Red Ranger. The true definition of badass, unlike his American counterpart which, unfortunately, get more attention from his fans that Matoi will hardly ever get. :'(
@@TokuAndAnimationNewsNetwork Mainly because of the plot the first half of the show is really strong and even the second half has a lot to offer.Also the characters are great in which it took a while for me to pick a favorite being a Clover King my all time favorite green.Also the suit designs for being only the second season are some of the best of the franchise in my opinion.And the villains are great a mafia type big bad is not something you see often and even human villains being there.These are just some reasons why I love the season
My personal favorite 29 out of 45ish Sentai series split into 4 unofficial "Categories/Eras" that have different things to offer: Secret Service James Bond Parody Era (1975 - 1984) [9] (This Era was geared towards adults but they founds adults weren't their biggest demographic. This era features a little blood, real guns, real hostage situations, real explosions, people actually dying/civilians actually getting hurt/being in danger. Villains don't spare kids in these series, they're actually evil. These series follow a more realistic Secret Service vibe. Goggle-V is the first to introduce the theme of an outerworldly evil empire (I think) that would reoccur in nearly every series from the Dark Era.): 1) Gorenger ('Spies' Funniest/Campiest, longest.) 2) J.A.K.Q. ('Spies') (Mildly serious.) 3) Battle Fever J ('Spies', funniest campiest. The pink ranger's stunt actor is a dude so there's some epic bulge shots of the Pink Ranger at times.) 4) Denziman ('Spies') (GREAT fights, hardest to find or watch series though, not fully fan-subbed yet.) 6) Goggle-V ('Spies', good shit!) 7) Dynaman (Police, this was the FIRST series to come to the US almost 8 years before MMPR. It was racistly dubbed over to make fun of Asian culture, and only 8 episodes were ever dubbed and aired in the US but it was enough to permanently damage Sentai's reputation or any chance at american audiences ever taking ANY of the then 20+ series seriously.) Dark & Disturbing Era (1984 - 1996) [12] (My favorite! This era was DARK, utterly disturbing with humans meeting untimely ends from monsters in almost every series from this Era. Almost still geared more towards adults at this point, the rangers continue to be in their mid 20s instead of teens for this Era, and the evil empires from every last series in this era are some of the most evil, creepy, oppressive, and with the BEST designs/monster models in the entire franchise. The first era is good for a return to the origins, clean serious but campy story, a good drink or laugh but this is the Era you wanna watch for a genuinely enthralling time.): 8) Bioman (Dark, and one of my personal favorites!) 9) Changeman (Dark) 10) Flashman (Dark) 11) Maskman (2nd Darkest) 12) Liveman (Darkest by far! Personal fave!) 15) Jetman ("Secret Service" theme returns kinda, hailed as the Darkest and one of the most serious; However the fights, villians, monsters, and ranger costumes are less memorable compared to everything else from this Era, IMO.) 17) Dairanger (Dark, Martial-Arts, BEST fights/Choreography, creepiest villains/monsters.) 18) Kakuranger (Ninja, fantastic fights and story. Sexy goth skeleton rocker punk guy!!!!
I've always loved super heroes that use swords ⚔️. It's the first Sentai I watched competly . Love the characters. Takerus probably my favorite red ranger. The episodes The only thing I don't like about shinkenger is the main villains he does nothing it's like they based him off drunk acholics. I don't want that in my superhero show😠
Awesome list sadly i cant list my favourite season storywise, because of my fondness on giant robots. So here my favourite sentai with cool robots in no order: Bioman Flashman Jetman Zyuranger Dairanger Ohranger Kakuranger Carranger Megaranger Gingaman GogoV Gaoranger Hurricanger Abaranger Boukenger
While I've seen less than half of all of the Sentai seasons, I have seen enough to make a top 11, so my current top 11 which is pretty much certain to change would go as such 1. Shinkenger 2. Gokaiger 3. Jetman 4. Timeranger 5. Flashman 6. Liveman 7. GoGo Five 8. Dairanger 9. Lupinranger vs Patranger 10. Changeman 11. Hurricaneger And I guess I could give a quick honorable mention to Kiramager, cause while the show isn't finished yet and it's got a few problems, I really like what I've seen of it so far.

I guess your favorite ranger series(both SS + PR) may belongs to the Power Rangers because I remember(just remember) that your comments Time Force is better than Timeranger, and time ranger is already in Top 2 of your sentai list, so what is your favourite PR series (just curious)
Megaranger is a really fun show, I totally agree about the Nezirangers, they were amazing villains. I'm more of an Ultraman/Metal Heroes guy so there's a lot of cool looking sentai series I've yet to see but my favourites I've seen are definitely Flashman, Liveman and Kakuranger. They all have great characters, fights and music. I like the more philosophical elements of Flashman and Liveman and Kakuranger balancs great comedy and drama perfectly imo. I've made it a tradition to watch the Christmas episode every year.

8:37 Go Red is the greatest Red Ranger of all time. That is the best comment I've heard ever about GoGoFive. Look. I've watched both GoGoFive & Lightspeed before. & it sort of irritates me when some PRLSR or PR/SS fans keeps claiming that Carter(Red Ranger from LSR) is the most badass Red Ranger, & yet choosing to ignore the traits & badassery of his Japanese counterpart Matoi.
I mean, I totally get why audiences would think that, but yeah, Carter's only badass because they were following what the Japanese footage did. Outside of the Sentai scenes, Carter didn't do anything extraordinary.

I also thank you for your special inclusion of Dynaman given her bad rep dur to Night Flight's dub which I think as a product of its time its really out there and deserves prise for it. Balzion will always be my favorite mecha tho, it has that Pat Labor/Macross feel to it.

But the shows between Dynaman up until Kakuranger had the perfect blend between maturity and bombastic special effects, Dynaman kickstarted that era plus I also like the fact that two recurring Sentai actors fell in love and married twice, its very touching, so they have a special place in my heart. Fav suits are Maskmen and fav mecha is Balzion tho. I don't know if I culd pick a favorite show, because I like elements from all of them but IMHO the most Sentai show out of all Sentai shows would be Fiveman because it seems it has elements from all of the eras, even the current one with the slice of life humor via plushies, and I think was the first Sentai show to have a videogame (a tradition that lasts to this day) even, a Bandai battery operated LCD handheld eponimous game.
You can't go wrong with anything from the 90s and they're free to watch on Shout! Factory's website. Besides them, Gekiranger, Dekaranger, and Shinkenger are good ones for the 2000s along with Flashman for the 80s.
Shout! Factory streams the 12 series they licensed on their website. The rest you will have to download the fansubs from the various groups that released them.

I am watching Dairanger and it is a fantastic series.I am a big power ranger fan and Dairanger is my first sentai series which I have started watching.Dairanger has an amazing storyline and the theme song is so mesmerizing.
Gingaman: Great series, though it was far from perfect, it had drama, stakes, comedy, and a lot of heartwarming scenes. Plus, no other series could pull off a complicated character like they did with Kurokishi.

Great top 11, I see so many series from the '90s (except for Fiveman and Ohranger). Your number 1 could also be my number 1, I like both Jetman and Dairanger as my favorite Super Sentai series. But I'm so happy to see that many of your favorite series are also my favorite. Do you plan on doing something similar with Kamen Rider?
Im halfway through Carranger, my first Sentai show, and Im thoroughly enjoying both its lighthearted feel and characters as well as the romance between the lovely Zonette and RedRanger. Going to try Gingaman or Jetman next.
I remember a day when you could not answer the phone when you are on the internet. That was the reference in MegaRanger and that long tone sound after she was pressing those numbers on her pad.
Oh, those are region 2 DVDs I bought from Japan. They have no subtitles on them, so they are just raw. It was the only way I used to be able to watch the shows legally and since there were no fansubs for them, it didn't matter that they didn't have subs.

Nope. The dude who does the voice in Zero-One is Kōichi Yamadera, who is Togusa in Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex. The only Sentai he's ever done work in is Abaranger.
So far, yes, but those only cover the first 20 episodes and cost me $200. No subs. As for Deka, yep. Review has been recorded with my plans to edit it next week and have it out the first week of Sept.
Kaiju no Kami Well hopefully we get a proper Region 1 release with english subs. In other sentai related news did you hear that Hasbro might be canceling their deal with Toei in terms of accessing their footage for power rangers. Apparently Dino Fury will be the last one based on a sentai, and then they might be creating all their suits and other practical effects themselves. I also hear they might go with an animated series approach. Personally I’m glad that Power Rangers is becoming more independent and this also means to me super sentai will stand out more.
Disney Boy Oh really. Also did Hasbro say anything on more upcoming DVD’s from Shout? I know Kaiju ni Kami did a video about it, but I am hoping that we would of at least have a response by now from either Hasbro or Toei.

Any order should work fine, but sometimes I do make callbacks or jokes in other reviews that intentionally repeat themselves in a later review. On the other hand, watching them in series order is also something given I do a little special opening tidbit for Gokaiger since I waited until I did the 34 series that proceeded it before I tackled that one.
Personally I love Jetman its a unique team including raita osh who is possibly my favorite yellow ranger ever. Still going through gogo five and then timeranger. Eager to see more. Thanks for the top 11 list

I have only watched Gekiranger, Go-Onger, and Gokaiger-Kiramaiger. I am currently watching Shinkenger. While it would take me a while to pick a top 10 or 11, my top three are: 1. Toqger, 2. Gokaiger, 3. Lupinranger vs. Patoranger. I know these may be controversial picks, but I love them. And hey this is coming from someone that likes Kamen Rider Ghost so, lol. Anyway, when I’m finished with Shinkenger and Goseiger I will make sure to check out some older Sentai seasons. Loved this video and gave me some good suggestions on what to watch next. Also, have you thought about making a top 10 Kamen Rider or Ultraman Series list?

Dairanger is the only reason I gave super sentai a chance. Honestly the first 7 series of power rangers sentai all hit hard especially with Jetman as well the 90's - 2000 had the best suits mechs and stories

I think the 00s sentai is better than the 90s. 00s sentai series have a more obvious theme and nail to that. 00s sentai also did a relatively better job creating a long-term conflict between characters (90s sentai also has some long-term conflicts but not that impressive for me).
I feel the 2000s got too silly, the villains stopped feeling like credible threats in many of the series, and the ranger cast started to get annoying. The only shows from the 2000s I can say were exceptional were Dekaranger, Gekiranger, and Shinkenger. Aba and Hurri were good, but they failed to outdo the predecessors with their themes. Then we had the bottom of the barrel that is Go-Onger. Ugh, one of the worst Toku shows ever made in my book. The other issue with the 2000s is the excessive mecha and how they never truly had to earn their mecha at times, it was just given to them. Not to mention nearly every episode had to have a mech battle. With the shows in the 90s, some series would wait several episodes before the rangers acquired their mecha and when they did, it was because they had to earn the right to use it. Also, not every episode had a mech battle. As for long-term conflicts, Jetman was the first and did it the best since they didn't actually become a team truly until episode 30.

@@necrom002 the 2000s have some good seasons but Gekiranger was really the only one to Brest the sentai mold of fully developing the villains while all the others are pretty much standard sentai seasons. Dekaranger also was imo the second sentai in the 2000s to try a break the sentai mold by being more episodic. The 90s imo all felt very energetic all have very great villains. The ranger casts all also felt like really people and not just 1 dimensional heroes. Sentai eras can be hard for everyone to agree on what they enjoy more than other eras. At the end of the day it’s pretty much personal taste

My favourite season is Abaranger. I really liked the characters, the villains, and the story. I honestly never liked mech fights in Sentai but this season really made me like them

Kaiju No Kami which Sentai suit did you hate the most. Mine is Battle Fever J because when I first them in the 199 Legendary Battle movie when I was 11 I had nightmares of those suit since 2013 and wanted them burned into the fire.
Been watching dekaranger really like it. Gekiranger was my favorite. Timeranger was good. (time force favorite power rangers series) Gokaiger was really good. Magi ranger was cool didn’t watch it all yet.

Might be late but you convinced me to buy Dairanger. I remember having toys of dairanger and was scared because the suits looks nothing like what was shown on American tv back in the days. Also, being Asian, parents buying me toys at an Asian shop that has questionable bootlegs, not knowing history of sentai rangers, I was frustrated. Good to know it was based on something.

Will the Top 11 consist of seasons you've already reviewed, or will there also be seasons that you haven't reviewed yet? I won't be surprised if Dairanger is on the list, it was a really great season of Sentai. I'm also calling on Gokaiger and Jetman being possible on the list.

Had never watched Sentai before until recently. Am a long time power rangers fan so I decided to give it a shot after watching your reviews. I may have set the bar too high though since I started with Dairanger. The beginning having so many two part type episodes and having the cast all get a chance to shine as well as setting up plot points for future episodes has not dissapointed at all. I only started a few days ago but I'm already almost half way through the series. So definitely have to agree with the number 1 choice

Yeah, I started with Dairanger, too. It is a fantastic show, but unfortunately it made some of the newer Sentai shows just unwatchable for me. After Dairanger, so many of the newer ones are just 'meh.'
The top 5 best decade of sentai era in my opinion
1st platinum decade: 90s era (it has alot of amazing series 'jetman, zyuranger, dairanger, carranger, megaranger, gingaman, gogofive, ohranger [to me its okay series] and my favorite sentai ever has to be kakuranger)
2nd gold decade: 00s era
3rd silver decade: 80era
4th bronze decade: 2010-2020 era (if not for gokaiger to save the era)
5th copper decade: 75-79 era

Yeah, I just feel it was the time period where Toei went all out on experimentation.
I wish that Sentai would take risks again, they always did new stuff in the '90s. They had Jetman, which had 3-dimensional characters only to have my favorite get shafted by tossing him in a love triangle when HE ALREADY HAS A GIRLFRIEND HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME INOUE YOO MOTH-. Zyuranger had the first permanent Sixth Ranger. Dairanger had the first child Ranger (Yes it's controversial either you like Kou or you hated Kou.) Kakuranger was the first Sentai to have a an evil Ranger team an extra and a female leader, even though they made her weak by herself which pisses me off so much. We had Ohranger, which was a trainwreck. Carranger had the Megazord switch limbs (Even if it was for a comedic effect.) I just realized that the first and last '90s Sixth Ranger both died.
Speaking of sentai in the 90's unlike most kids shows, they didn't try to be hip,extreme or edgy.

I'm not that much of a fan of Super Sentai since I was exposed to Ultraman much earlier. but there where a few Sentai shows that I really enjoyed such as Shinkenger, Magiranger, Ohranger, and surprisingly enough Bioman.
Since I was exposed to your review before and you said that the show was boring, but It was the exact opposite for me and I still love it.

Just finished GoGoFive today and gotta say it was fantastic! Definitely one of the best in the franchise! My favorite episodes were episodes 19-22 that had the Hell Sibling arc and the fate of Zylpheeza! Shou is my favorite of the 5 for his his never let anyone behind during a rescue personality! Definitely a great green ranger! Really like the diversity between the two families throughout the series and how the Saima realized that their family is not so perfect after all! I definitely would give GoGoFive a 5 out of 5 a definite watch!
That arc is probably my favorite arc too.
Shou is definitely one of my favorite rangers from that season/series as well and one of my Top Favorite Green Rangers of the franchise overall.
Matoi is definitely my most favorite Red Ranger. The true definition of badass, unlike his American counterpart which, unfortunately, get more attention from his fans that Matoi will hardly ever get. :'(

@@TokuAndAnimationNewsNetwork Mainly because of the plot the first half of the show is really strong and even the second half has a lot to offer.Also the characters are great in which it took a while for me to pick a favorite being a Clover King my all time favorite green.Also the suit designs for being only the second season are some of the best of the franchise in my opinion.And the villains are great a mafia type big bad is not something you see often and even human villains being there.These are just some reasons why I love the season
My personal favorite 29 out of 45ish Sentai series split into 4 unofficial "Categories/Eras" that have different things to offer:
Secret Service James Bond Parody Era (1975 - 1984) [9] (This Era was geared towards adults but they founds adults weren't their biggest demographic. This era features a little blood, real guns, real hostage situations, real explosions, people actually dying/civilians actually getting hurt/being in danger. Villains don't spare kids in these series, they're actually evil. These series follow a more realistic Secret Service vibe. Goggle-V is the first to introduce the theme of an outerworldly evil empire (I think) that would reoccur in nearly every series from the Dark Era.):
1) Gorenger ('Spies' Funniest/Campiest, longest.)
2) J.A.K.Q. ('Spies') (Mildly serious.)
3) Battle Fever J ('Spies', funniest campiest. The pink ranger's stunt actor is a dude so there's some epic bulge shots of the Pink Ranger at times.)
4) Denziman ('Spies') (GREAT fights, hardest to find or watch series though, not fully fan-subbed yet.)
6) Goggle-V ('Spies', good shit!)
7) Dynaman (Police, this was the FIRST series to come to the US almost 8 years before MMPR. It was racistly dubbed over to make fun of Asian culture, and only 8 episodes were ever dubbed and aired in the US but it was enough to permanently damage Sentai's reputation or any chance at american audiences ever taking ANY of the then 20+ series seriously.)
Dark & Disturbing Era (1984 - 1996) [12] (My favorite! This era was DARK, utterly disturbing with humans meeting untimely ends from monsters in almost every series from this Era. Almost still geared more towards adults at this point, the rangers continue to be in their mid 20s instead of teens for this Era, and the evil empires from every last series in this era are some of the most evil, creepy, oppressive, and with the BEST designs/monster models in the entire franchise. The first era is good for a return to the origins, clean serious but campy story, a good drink or laugh but this is the Era you wanna watch for a genuinely enthralling time.):
8) Bioman (Dark, and one of my personal favorites!)
9) Changeman (Dark)
10) Flashman (Dark)
11) Maskman (2nd Darkest)
12) Liveman (Darkest by far! Personal fave!)
15) Jetman ("Secret Service" theme returns kinda, hailed as the Darkest and one of the most serious; However the fights, villians, monsters, and ranger costumes are less memorable compared to everything else from this Era, IMO.)

Dairanger has my personal favorite mecha. 2-3 main mechs is ideal, but that really depends on how it works within the confines of the story.

Megaranger is a really fun show, I totally agree about the Nezirangers, they were amazing villains. I'm more of an Ultraman/Metal Heroes guy so there's a lot of cool looking sentai series I've yet to see but my favourites I've seen are definitely Flashman, Liveman and Kakuranger. They all have great characters, fights and music. I like the more philosophical elements of Flashman and Liveman and Kakuranger balancs great comedy and drama perfectly imo. I've made it a tradition to watch the Christmas episode every year.
I tend to watch the Kaku Xmas episode most Decs.
Shinkenger and Gokaiger are more than honarable mention
Not for me. I love them, but they're lackluster villains hinder them from being higher on the list.

Look. I've watched both GoGoFive & Lightspeed before. & it sort of irritates me when some PRLSR or PR/SS fans keeps claiming that Carter(Red Ranger from LSR) is the most badass Red Ranger, & yet choosing to ignore the traits & badassery of his Japanese counterpart Matoi.
I mean, I totally get why audiences would think that, but yeah, Carter's only badass because they were following what the Japanese footage did. Outside of the Sentai scenes, Carter didn't do anything extraordinary.

One of them. I think all shows up until Gaoranger were really good. But the shows between Dynaman up until Kakuranger had the perfect blend between maturity and bombastic special effects, Dynaman kickstarted that era plus I also like the fact that two recurring Sentai actors fell in love and married twice, its very touching, so they have a special place in my heart. Fav suits are Maskmen and fav mecha is Balzion tho.
I don't know if I culd pick a favorite show, because I like elements from all of them but IMHO the most Sentai show out of all Sentai shows would be Fiveman because it seems it has elements from all of the eras, even the current one with the slice of life humor via plushies, and I think was the first Sentai show to have a videogame (a tradition that lasts to this day) even, a Bandai battery operated LCD handheld eponimous game.
Any recommendations on what I should watch next? I’ve only seen Gokaiger and Ryusoulger n they great shows in my opinion
You can't go wrong with anything from the 90s and they're free to watch on Shout! Factory's website. Besides them, Gekiranger, Dekaranger, and Shinkenger are good ones for the 2000s along with Flashman for the 80s.

I am watching Dairanger and it is a fantastic series.I am a big power ranger fan and Dairanger is my first sentai series which I have started watching.Dairanger has an amazing storyline and the theme song is so mesmerizing.

Gingaman: Great series, though it was far from perfect, it had drama, stakes, comedy, and a lot of heartwarming scenes. Plus, no other series could pull off a complicated character like they did with Kurokishi.

Nice. Dairanger was the third Sentai series I ever watched and nothing has ever come close to topping it for me.

Im halfway through Carranger, my first Sentai show, and Im thoroughly enjoying both its lighthearted feel and characters as well as the romance between the lovely Zonette and RedRanger. Going to try Gingaman or Jetman next.

I downloaded them from various fansub groups. Metallic Fansubs, Overtime, Pocket Universe, Imagination Station, etc.

Oh, those are region 2 DVDs I bought from Japan. They have no subtitles on them, so they are just raw. It was the only way I used to be able to watch the shows legally and since there were no fansubs for them, it didn't matter that they didn't have subs.

Nope. The dude who does the voice in Zero-One is Kōichi Yamadera, who is Togusa in Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex. The only Sentai he's ever done work in is Abaranger.
Is that the only legit DVD or Flashman, also are you still gonna review Dekaranger?
So far, yes, but those only cover the first 20 episodes and cost me $200. No subs.
As for Deka, yep. Review has been recorded with my plans to edit it next week and have it out the first week of Sept.
Kaiju no Kami Well hopefully we get a proper Region 1 release with english subs. In other sentai related news did you hear that Hasbro might be canceling their deal with Toei in terms of accessing their footage for power rangers. Apparently Dino Fury will be the last one based on a sentai, and then they might be creating all their suits and other practical effects themselves. I also hear they might go with an animated series approach. Personally I’m glad that Power Rangers is becoming more independent and this also means to me super sentai will stand out more.

Disney Boy Oh really. Also did Hasbro say anything on more upcoming DVD’s from Shout? I know Kaiju ni Kami did a video about it, but I am hoping that we would of at least have a response by now from either Hasbro or Toei.

Any order should work fine, but sometimes I do make callbacks or jokes in other reviews that intentionally repeat themselves in a later review. On the other hand, watching them in series order is also something given I do a little special opening tidbit for Gokaiger since I waited until I did the 34 series that proceeded it before I tackled that one.

I have only watched Gekiranger, Go-Onger, and Gokaiger-Kiramaiger. I am currently watching Shinkenger. While it would take me a while to pick a top 10 or 11, my top three are: 1. Toqger, 2. Gokaiger, 3. Lupinranger vs. Patoranger. I know these may be controversial picks, but I love them. And hey this is coming from someone that likes Kamen Rider Ghost so, lol. Anyway, when I’m finished with Shinkenger and Goseiger I will make sure to check out some older Sentai seasons. Loved this video and gave me some good suggestions on what to watch next. Also, have you thought about making a top 10 Kamen Rider or Ultraman Series list?

Dairanger is the only reason I gave super sentai a chance. Honestly the first 7 series of power rangers sentai all hit hard especially with Jetman as well the 90's - 2000 had the best suits mechs and stories

I think the 00s sentai is better than the 90s. 00s sentai series have a more obvious theme and nail to that. 00s sentai also did a relatively better job creating a long-term conflict between characters (90s sentai also has some long-term conflicts but not that impressive for me).
I feel the 2000s got too silly, the villains stopped feeling like credible threats in many of the series, and the ranger cast started to get annoying. The only shows from the 2000s I can say were exceptional were Dekaranger, Gekiranger, and Shinkenger. Aba and Hurri were good, but they failed to outdo the predecessors with their themes.
Then we had the bottom of the barrel that is Go-Onger. Ugh, one of the worst Toku shows ever made in my book.
The other issue with the 2000s is the excessive mecha and how they never truly had to earn their mecha at times, it was just given to them. Not to mention nearly every episode had to have a mech battle. With the shows in the 90s, some series would wait several episodes before the rangers acquired their mecha and when they did, it was because they had to earn the right to use it. Also, not every episode had a mech battle.
As for long-term conflicts, Jetman was the first and did it the best since they didn't actually become a team truly until episode 30.

@@necrom002 the 2000s have some good seasons but Gekiranger was really the only one to Brest the sentai mold of fully developing the villains while all the others are pretty much standard sentai seasons. Dekaranger also was imo the second sentai in the 2000s to try a break the sentai mold by being more episodic. The 90s imo all felt very energetic all have very great villains. The ranger casts all also felt like really people and not just 1 dimensional heroes. Sentai eras can be hard for everyone to agree on what they enjoy more than other eras. At the end of the day it’s pretty much personal taste

My favourite season is Abaranger. I really liked the characters, the villains, and the story. I honestly never liked mech fights in Sentai but this season really made me like them

I'm not familiar with it at all, so I would have to look into it to see if it is something that I would be interested in, though, it will probably be a long time before that happens with how much Toku I still need to get through. :-) I'll keep it in my requested queue.
@@TokuAndAnimationNewsNetwork The show was created by Go Nagai. there are two version. the UK english dub an the japanese version. the former has different music(it seems that the japanese producers didn't send them the audio tracks) but i like the dub

Kaiju No Kami which Sentai suit did you hate the most.
Mine is Battle Fever J because when I first them in the 199 Legendary Battle movie when I was 11 I had nightmares of those suit since 2013 and wanted them burned into the fire.

Been watching dekaranger really like it. Gekiranger was my favorite. Timeranger was good. (time force favorite power rangers series) Gokaiger was really good. Magi ranger was cool didn’t watch it all yet.

Might be late but you convinced me to buy Dairanger. I remember having toys of dairanger and was scared because the suits looks nothing like what was shown on American tv back in the days. Also, being Asian, parents buying me toys at an Asian shop that has questionable bootlegs, not knowing history of sentai rangers, I was frustrated. Good to know it was based on something.
That's funny because my first experience with Dairanger was from a shop that I also thought they were bootlegs at and passed on them. Who knew that it would become my favorite Sentai show. 😀

Well I'm glad my girl MAO's Gokaiger series was shown but couldn't you have taken the sound from the show and put it over the other shows for the name? But I can't understand why you had Carranger here. That's one of the only shows I don't care for. But I'm sure you know the one I would put there instead. Also for the end couldn't you have used Pizza Hut and cut the Family Guy clip? But also lets not forget that the 90's also had the Metal Heroes series. But you didn't have put Megaranger higher?
