"Wounded World" - No Man

This Roger Miller/No Man music video was shot in Boston. The song, "Wounded World", later re-recorded by Mission of Burma for their CD ONoffON, was originally released on Roger's album "How the West Was Won." The video was produced by the Control Group (that's us) and shot on S-8 B&W film.

This brings back memories... college in 1990. Saw these guys at the Unicorn in Milwaukee - tiny downstairs bar where all the best bands came. I knew Mission of Burma well, and well... they were no longer (at that time). So, No Man was the next best thing... I knew Roger Miller had some kind of hearing issue. He set-up his amps in front of him, I guess to ease the burden on his ears, but that place was basically a concrete bunker, and it was LOUD. They rocked. For whatever reason, I got an ear worm for a couple of their songs just now, and so here I am. Wish there was more on UA-cam.

nice to hear it w/ out the kids choir back up vox. both versions have their merits though- rhythm section on this one sounds like big black! the no man records are incredibly underrated...

big fan of mob since they have been around but i think this is one of the best roger miller songs this is fukin muscular right it is

I have this ablum and I find this version superior to the MOB version. The bass and drums are much springier and really own the song.
