Well a little segment of your video brought back some childhood memories of mine. You showed an old ship as you were driving past it (12:59) and I thought that ship looked familiar. So I looked it up and sure enough it was the ship that my parents and I attended an auction (back in 1984) for it when they were getting rid of the stuff off of it. The SS United States. My family used to have a bunch of stuff from it including a barber chair that sat in our living room. My dad actually was on the local news when he bought that chair. Thanks for showing that little segment. Put a smile on my face. “America’s Flagship”. It was built in my home town at the shipyard where my granddaddy retired from. 🙂
Tampa Jay Yes it does look like the Titanic but it is actually bigger. There is a cool little history of that ship. And a group of people that are trying to safe it from being scrapped because of it’s history. Something you maybe interested in looking up.

Philly is a Democrat city like most of them. Why are so many buildings run down, trash on the ground, and graffiti? That’s Democrats for you. The current mayor is a Democrat, Jim Kenney. 90-100% of the poor/black areas of the city voted for Biden and gave him the 20 votes and the presidency. He only needed PA to win. I live near Allentown, 55 miles north. Those dummies in Philly just voted for socialism and a return of Obama policies. Next week, on the 20th at noon, welcome to the United Socialist States of America. Why did the USSR have Socialist in its name? Where pollie worked I think they filmed that in la not philly Just to say also The ice skating rink was filmed in California not philly as I've seen on previous videos. In rocky balboa rocky says is this where the Ice skating rink was. It was never filmed in philly. I liked how you pionted out all the signs where things were to match the shot up. Brilliant

BRAVO…brother…! That was an amazing time capsule you took us down. I have always wanted to visit there since Rocky took hold of me back in 1979. I was too young to see Rocky. Part 2 was out summer of 79’ & I was 7. Saw it with my friend and his mom, then, convinced my aunt again (who was keeping me one day), then my Dad (on visitation weekend), my mother, then a cousin & his fam, ALL in the summer of 79! RARELY have I seen a film twice in theatres. This one touched my young soul to its core! I couldn’t wait to see part 1 but this was well before VCR’s became affordable. Movies always came on National TV 3 yrs after their release back then, & I stayed up one night at my grandparents to watch Rocky which hit mainline around the holidays 79 I’m guessing. Never has a movie inspired me so much! I LOVE the passion you put into this, the lines you brought back to us which went with the locations. TOP NOTCH bro! If you had had time or ever in the future, I would have loved a part 2; the Rocky 2 locations. The run with the kids before the fight, Adrian & his first home, the hospital & nearby zoo, maybe the meat/butcher job where he pounded meat etc. Also, the home they lived in in part 5 etc. Of the Rocky films I adore in order Rocky Rocky 2 & Rocky 6 Literally, on Same par with Rocky 2, which I cannot believe I’m saying, I never thought 6 was gonna be good, being 5 wasn’t all the great (but I liked 5 enough bc they were back in the neighborhood). There were many other reasons I felt 6 was gonna over play the series, but BOY was I so wrong! I cont to like it as a spin off with Creed too. MY FAVE LINE of the ALL; Rocky: He comes back in the middle of the night to lay down with Adrian after walking down to the right venue; She wakes, and he says: “I can’t do it” Adrian “what are we gonna do? “It really doesn’t matter if I get my head split open. Nobody has ever gone the distance with Creed, but if that bell rings, and I’m still standing, I’ll prove to myself I’m not just another bum off the streets”. BRILLIANT DRAMA..that’s Rocky. It’s not a Sport/Boxing film at all, it’s about the hard knocks of life, & rising above mentally 🙌🏻
Great work. It took a lot of dedication to find some of those places and then put it all together in a video for the fans. Regarding your question of whether Stallone got sad filming the scene with Butkus, I am fairly certain the dog in the film is the dog he had to sell, and as soon as he got his advance for Rocky, he bought Butkus back. If that is in fact the case, he was probably quite happy to film that scene. J$H Wednesday 09.30.2020 8:28 PM
I went through these locations yesterday, and the drug reigns, thousands of drug addicts in every street and a lot of dirt, became a cracoland. So sad! 😢 even the rocky house has become a drug sales outlet.
This is amazing. I am from the UK and have been lucky enough to visit the Rocky Steps but I couldn’t visit all the other locations, so I really enjoyed your video. Its too bad we've got to get old.
1976 Philly, trashy. 2020 Philly, trashy. some things never change.

Gary can you say that about center city, main line, Packer park, and greater northeast. Every major city as there trashy sections.
I’m a lifelong Philadelphian and giant Rocky fan. This is an excellent job by this young man.
Thank you Peter I’m happy you enjoyed it buddy
This is the best video of the rocky locations on UA-cam, I enjoyed this very very much. A massive rocky fan myself I've also been to a few locations of this film also. To bad gazzos street looks so different now, looked the sameish when I went back in 2007. Brilliant
That was truly excellent. Thanks for all your hard work, best wishes from Poland. BTW Thanks for the bird. ;)
Awesome Video Tampa Jay. Love Rocky.. You knocked it out on this one...
Thank you Momma
Tampa Jay, love your attitude, my Fav movie also, the best Film locations movie so far!

@@TampaJay safe travels home bro
I grew up near there. Such awesome but sadly at the same time, vivid memories of long ago!
I only watched the first two Rocky movies. After two, I felt like I had seen everything the movies could offer. Anyway, I really appreciate the time and energy, you put into making this video. Tampa Jay, you’re the best!👍💕😊
Thank you so much my friend I really love the first film! The third and fourth movie I have a special place in my heart too they are totally different, but good. Let me know if you ever watch them :) Thank you so much glad you enjoyed the video
Thankyou for showing us fans these magical Rocky moments. This is amazing. Let's also take a moment to thank the musicians and music producers behind the Rocky movies soundtracks. Best musicical movie theme songs ever!!
Great job on this! That's how winning is done! ;)
Thank you so much
Excellent work...brings back so many fond memories from 77 when the movie came out. Would have loved to take a look inside his old apartment that he told Adrian was "just temporary"...lol
I am French and very fan of Sylvester Stallone since I was 10 years old now I am 51 years old, a very big thank you for making me relive the places of the movie ROCKY
Je suis Français et très fan de Sylvester Stallone depuis mes 10 ans maintenant j'ai 51 ans, un très grand merci de m'avoir fait revivre les endroits du film ROCKY

Man... I enjoyed every second... Thank you for this masterpiece.... Love to you ❤️
great video-lot of effort went into it. nice manner as well -Adrian would be proud !
Thank you Jake I appreciate it :)
Great job finding some of the more obscure locations. I went there a few years back and saw the gym, pet store, apartment, steps, statue and ate at Adrian's cafe (Victor cafe).
Love your vids man. I love your enthusiasm and respect for these filming locations! Rocky is of my favorite film franchises ever. Glad you could take us with you on this journey! I also LOVED you Camp Crystal Lake vid :D Also want to say congrats on a tremendous season in Tampa. I’m a diehard St. Louis native, Cardinal fanatic. I played baseball with Jake Odorizzi. I know he played i Tampa for a bit. Anyway, thanks for vids!
Thank you Chris I appreciate your kind words man, I made this one for those true fans out there like you. We almost got us a world series it was a great season nonetheless, played ball in high school myself. Thanks again buddy
Lets give this young man some kind of Rocky filming award.....Who's with me ?
Great job, Jay! You definitely went the distance! Thanks!
Thanks buddy :).
Great video Jay.brings back memories of watching this with my dad nearly 40years ago.joined a boxing club 3days later.so inspirational. Big love to you all in US from UK 🇬🇧❤️🇺🇲
Yo tampa jay you did it 👊🏻👊🏻 👏🏻
BRAVO…brother…!
Of the Rocky films I adore in order
Rocky
Rocky 2 & Rocky 6
Literally, on Same par with Rocky 2, which I cannot believe I’m saying, I never thought 6 was gonna be good, being 5 wasn’t all the great (but I liked 5
enough bc they were back in the neighborhood). There were many other reasons I felt 6 was gonna over play the series, but BOY was I so wrong! I cont to like it as a spin off with Creed too.
MY FAVE LINE of the ALL; Rocky:
He comes back in the middle of the night to lay down with Adrian after walking down to the right venue;
She wakes, and he says:
“I can’t do it” Adrian “what are we gonna do?
Wow! This video is one of your best ones. Great job!
Thank you Mike
I went through these locations yesterday, and the drug reigns, thousands of drug addicts in every street and a lot of dirt, became a cracoland. So sad! 😢 even the rocky house has become a drug sales outlet.
Awesomeness!
At 5:55
is that Rocky walking across the bridge ?
Correct, black leather jacket & hat. His spirit will live forever.
True lmao
:D
👍
I like the music at the end .
This is amazing. I am from the UK and have been lucky enough to visit the Rocky Steps but I couldn’t visit all the other locations, so I really enjoyed your video.
I have my own coin hunting UA-cam channel, so I can appreciate how much effort you must have put into this video. Well done 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I have subscribed and look forward to watching your other videos 👍🏻👍🏻 🇬🇧 🇺🇸
Thank you so much my friend

1976: Trash everywhere
2020: Trash everywhere
Nah. Trash in 1976 was good trash.
Democrats are consistent since 1956. But people keep voting them in.
@@THEDONSTR8Fightah76 Nostalgic trash is better than new trash.
You have not seen really trash neighborhood, sure this no Beverly Hills area, but comparing to most places here in my native Russia, this still is clean and preferable, and this Kensington pa is even one of lowest and worst in all of America, still much better than most place here. Greetings
Man, Philadelphia looks like a dump, looks like nothing has changed in all those years since the movie, giving Detroit some competition
just fantastic TJ !!!! I saw Rocky at the Crest Drive-in theater in Bakersfield back in 1977. I was in my mom's 74 Nova, and was with my first girlfriend, who gave me my first kiss. Count me in as one who gets extremely nostalgic when talking about Rocky ha ha ha… now I'm going to have a martini, look at some old photo albums, and then get on Ebay, because I still want to get my own 1974 Nova someday :-) Thanks so much for the vid !
Joe P thank you man glad I could bring back some nostalgia for you
