Making me miss Pittsburgh. Lived there 2015 to 2017. It's railroad HEAVEN. You have multiple Norfolk Southern Lines, CSX, AVR, URR, and a few small regional lines. Nothing but trains and bridges as far as the eye can see.
Thank you!! I believe the AVR-3 goes on at 7:30 or 8, AVR-5 to Island Avenue typically leaves Glenwood around 11 am, AVR-1 to the B&P departs around 8 PM ish, not too sure on the others sadly.
Outstanding Vid...Streets Run is a real mountainous climb especially pulling all those loaded frac sand hoppers...any of the grade? The ever use any pushers?
Streets Run actually begins by crossing the Mon River from Hazelwood to Hays. 50 years ago it was a double track from Hays southward. If you look at the bridge over old Second Avenue in Hays you can see it. The roadbed is a gradual upgrade and was B&O way back when.
Haven't seen the Bruceton bridge in 63 years. The bridge over the tracks used to be for the Pgh and West Virginia. The Allegheny Valley was old B & O branch.
Trainutjob.....any idea of the shipper destination the coil coaches headed back to Island Yard from Glenwood. Your help much appreciated. Watching... for your great Vids everyday!
One of my favorite schemes. Glad that Russ kept it after leaving NHN.

That's a big AVR-3. Great video, glad to see our area getting some love and exposure from outside professionals.
I appreciate that bud, I wouldn't say I'm a professional though, just a doofus with a camera lol.
Beautiful video!!! Greetings 🚂🚂👍🔝📽️🙋♂️
Thank you!
Great video! What is the usual OD time for any of their jobs?

Here is a fact about the AVR engines: One of the engines were used in the movie Unstoppable and was passing by AWVR 777 and 767 in the movie.
Fantastic opening shot! Can't beat classic EMDs powering upgrade
Really cool video! I bet that south park is awesome in the fall color change!
Thank you! I could see that!
