I think what pulls at my stomach the most about Anakin is he was so tragically corrupted by Palpatine and his own fear, he was totally blind to seeing the way out. He didn’t see a way out and it’s absolutely devastating to watch his fall/betrayal during order 66. I remember as a kid feeling so helpless watching it all fall apart! Great video!!
Thank you so much! I couldn't agree more about Anakin. I remember after seeing Episode 3 for the first time, it was the most depressed I'd been after watching a SW movie. The fact you could see he thought everything around him was eroding, and I just wanted to yell at the screen "Call Obi-Wan!" or "Talk to Padme!" And this was BEFORE Clone Wars even existed. Now that we have that whole side of Anakin, it's 100 times more gut-wrenching.
I know this is a bit late but loved the reaction and I agree with you about Anakin's turn to the dark side, it was so emotionally frustrating 💔 I was so upset because it's like he didn't just go dark side and build up to being a monster, he flat out did a swan dive into the dark side..head first. It was so preventable too and Obiwan tried in the end but Ani was just too far gone..it's just so heartbreaking..and that Obiwan Kenobi series finale? Ugh absolutely soul-shattering 😭

Anakin lost his mind I blame the Jedi due to the whole luck up your emotions is not healthy while I get their reasoning they should have think things through. P.S do think the new canon felt limited since Disney take over.

I'm not as certain about him being obsessed, but he was definitely drawn to it. I think once he started tasting the power of the dark side, he did become intoxicated off it, but he was still Anakin. A drunk driver is still responsible for their actions. You don't blame the alcohol.

You need to watch clone wars. The jedi council derserve more blame than you realize, not to say anakin doesn't bc he definitely does.

And that's why he did some terrible things and couldn't really control himself.

He was obsessed with saving those he loved. He failed to save his mother. Palpatine drew on that and influenced and manipulated him.
