Anakin was the chosen one, not Luke or Rey. Luke could be considered the key, while Anakin was without a doubt the chosen one. In his youth he turned, wiping out hundreds of jedi, and in the end he killed what remained of the sith (besides a few minor outliers at the time) the jedi were weak. The sith were weak. In a way that was the balance the force wanted, a fresh start for the dark and light side. Factions so small and fractured, but able to once again sort of coexist because they were no longer at war. Anakin brought balance, even if it was a horrible tragedy. The force is described as an all seeing entity, it is everywere and it is discussed that it has a degree of sentience. Such beings don't see right and wrong in the way we do, they just see what needs to be done, and the force guided Anakin to do what must be done regardless of how it was done. Balance was achieved.
@@bigsmoke1137 no it didnt, the Council said the balance will be achieved if the Sith/dark side would be destroyed. that not what balance means and also the Council said they may have misinterpret the writings
@@bigsmoke1137 The text of the prophecy, shown in Claudia Grey's canon novel "Master and Apprentice," never says a word about the Sith. Yoda never actually took interest in the prophecies as he believed that learning too much about them (most not even made BY the Jedi themselves but by Sith, Guardians of the Whills, Nightsisters, and others) tempted far too many Jedi to try and CHANGE what they felt the prophecies meant, especially the darker ones, and... sadly they often DID. Only to actually make them come true in the end ANYWAY... they tended to always be accurate in one way or another. Knowing them didn't help, at all, and usually only made the one who studied them suffer - Yoda's viewpoint. Dooku was one of those Jedi who was very interested in those prophecies, and he fell due to a mix of believing the Jedi should have never become involved in politics, he felt the Jedi should have _never_ become under the command of the senate like some kind of military, and most importantly he wanted to change the prophecies that spoke of upcoming galaxy wide suffering and darkness... whiiiiich he ultimately helped cause by trying to change. Qui-Gon didn't fall, but he should have also been a Master on the council. He never felt the other council members would have his back, and he KNEW they did not approve of him as he constantly violated the 'code.' A code that was unwritten, and was an unfortunate side effect of Yoda's long life. As well as Yoda's position as Grand Master, which placed him in charge of training _all_ younglings in basic principles of the Force. Yoda KNEW that his species' relationship with the force was not one that shorter lived species could actually _do,_ but he also recognized that most of the healthy minded Jedi deviated from his teachings as they aged. Due to that they DID often fall in love, have relationships, gain attachments, and more. They also dealt with them in healthy ways. Sadly Obi-Wan was extremely structurally minded, and exceedingly rigid when it came to obeying the 'code.' This is how he 'failed' Anakin. Hell... Obi-Wan almost fell HIMSELF when the Dutchess died on Mandalore. Simply because he had always managed to avoid being in love... his own master, Qui-Gon, spent his entire life in love with a fellow Jedi that he trained with ever since he had been a youngling. In Master and Apprentice it's _also_ confirmed that, has Qui-Gon lived, he could have actually helped Anakin with his relationship with Padme... not just ignored it like Obi-Wan did, hoping Anakin would somehow grow out of the attachment. Qui-Gon was quite a lot more pragmatic, and unlike Obi-Wan he was also old enough to be a father figure to Anakin... something he craved, and only ever found in Palpatine unfortunately. *ALL OF THAT SAID* ... The flat out text of the prophecy, the entire thing, never once says anything about wiping out the Sith. That was an _assumption_ by the Jedi Masters, and it was honestly based on their own hubris. They felt that the Jedi, strictly adhering to the LIGHT side of the force due to Yoda's species being innately bound to the light side so very very fundamentally that it's also canon that none of Yoda's species had _ever_ fallen to the Dark Side. They'd quite literally die if tainted due to the internal struggle. Thus the Jedi as a whole were just as unbalanced as the Sith were, but due to the ancient concept that Jedi were supposed to be balanced... they still thought that they were balanced. While trying to force themselves to shun any and all forms of the Dark. If read just flat out, without thinking of the Jedi or Sith as being Good/Evil, Heroes/Villains, then the prophecy quite bluntly says both sides needed to be balanced out... which Anakin did on day one. (Revenge of the Sith takes place over 3 days.) He crunched the numbers down to 2 Jedi, 2 Sith, in one fell swoop. Granted. There were OTHER Jedi who escaped, or were not active members of the order... but they all dropped being Jedi. Only Obi-Wan and Yoda still flat out claimed the title. There were dozens of other Force wielding groups in the galaxy of course. Both in Legends and current Canon. Hell - Korriban/Morribad was already inhabited, and had a blooming Sith Empire growing on it under Darth Krayt - who'd tossed out the Cult of Bane's _Rule of Two,_ and had established the _Rule of One._ The _Rule of One_ being the Sith Council, overseen by the Sith Emperor... himself. Being as they've made Revan, and the Tusken Jedi A'Sharad Hett (Krayt - was a human foundling by the Tuskens. They did that even before Boba Fett, but he was too old to make follow their mandates like wearing your mask infront of EVERYONE at all times, unless alone with ones family, etc. The tribes were actually like 50% other races.), both canon now thanks to the recent Visual Dictionary released by Disney/Story Group... then they've made the OTHER Sith cults canon as well. Thus that _"Rule of Two is LAW"_ concept a lot of fans have, just because friggen YODA said it in a movie, is a load of garbage. It's ONLY Bane's followers. *TL;DR: Anakin did EXACTLY what the prophecy said he'd do. Yoda was very, very correct when he said that they likely misinterpreted the Prophecy, because they straight up added that whole idea about Anakin destroying the Sith. All the prophecy said was that he'd bring balance... and he did. Both sides of the Jedi/Sith endless cycle of toppling each other was basically reset to the beginning, and while they still fought back and forth neither side -ever- managed to become as overwhelmingly dominant as the Jedi had become for over 1,000 years.

I take this as an excuse to watch these beautiful works by HFP while seeing your reaction. I get so emotional every time I hear Anakin say "tell your sister... you were right..."
Another thing: Anakin was so obsessed with the death of Qui Gon, he set up the Jedi training of Darth Maul's fight mode to defeat him as a child. Qui Gon, his mother, Ahsoka, Padme, corruption in the Republic and the Jedis broke that man, and Sidious who was his supposed friend and childhood took him and corrupted him
Shocking moment from the video game Knights of the Old Republic. You are playing as antagonist Darth Raven. In a cutscene he remove his helmet. It is revealed as the character you are playing as. 😱
I'm unable to express myself and truly feel emotion, I'm more like "hey this is a nice video, damn Anakin's such a good character" but no further than that
Qui Gonn would’ve been a father to Anakin. And like Obi-Wan said, “You were my “brother” Anakin.” But Qui Gonn had to die for the prophecy to be fulfilled. If it wasn’t for Obi Wan and the council making him spy on Palpatine, he wouldn’t have lost so much trust in the Jedi Order. Qui Gonn would not have stood for that because the Jedi were too involved in politics and had lost their way. The prophecy needed Anakin and Vader.
It's said that when a murderer kill someone dear to him, he continue to feel her screams rumbling in his head. I'm sure that one of the reasons Anakin became such a cruel monster is because deep down he was hoping the screams of his victims would silence Padme's voice.
Anakin's story is classic tragedy, in that his choices led to his downfall. But given his set of circumstances, it really couldn't have been any other way. One the one hand the Jedi were telling him that he was the Chosen One. OTOH, they kept things from him and clearly didn't trust him. What else was the poor guy supposed to think? He's honestly probably the most sympathetic character of modern mythology. We hate his choices but we also understand the factors that pushed him the way he went in joining the Sith.
The chosen one.. a special kid that win a game against old veterans like a badass.. a kid that had just his mother... he had friends and never was a sad kid because he loved what he had... he was always one of the strongest and smartest kids around his place and he never accepted to be controled....he wanted more...he wanted freedom. .his own choice...to achieve the power to change something he took his path and he lost anything he ever loved or dreamed of... he lost everything... but he achieved incredible knowledge and power after that...you never get power for free.. his life still had a purpose... anyone thought negativ about him because they wanted to be like him.. they don't pushed his abilitys because they we're feared of them... he was the type of guy that would have died for his love. .. he was not a bad person... he was just unlucky... and whatever happened.. at least of all his choices brought the balance back..

I've watched the video before watching another reaction, and it was amazing. The music is everything. Now that I'm a big Star Wars fan, I teared up watching the video. Anakin Skywalker is the best character ever. He's definitely one of my favorites. His character development was so good. There are so many layers to him. It's sad that he fell to the dark side after being manipulated by Palpatine into thinking he can save Padmé. It was messed up. I found a fan video of Anakin and Padmé that is really good. It's called Somebody to Die For. It's an emotional video. I watch it pretty much every day. I think you'll really like it.

This video as well was the first I've seen of "The Chosen One" What I take from the video is, he still was the one who would bring balance. Though a different course was taken. He suffered more then any Jedi losing his mom his apprentice (his best friend referring to Rex)his wife his brother his arms and legs... his spirit in the end he rose above the pain and became a true Jedi of the old Republic
I take this as an excuse to watch these beautiful works by HFP while seeing your reaction.
I get so emotional every time I hear Anakin say "tell your sister... you were right..."
Not gonna lie, that video is literally the first UA-cam video that I've cried for.
It’s ok padme it made me cry to
“I think I’m already crying”.. yep 🥺
Another thing: Anakin was so obsessed with the death of Qui Gon, he set up the Jedi training of Darth Maul's fight mode to defeat him as a child. Qui Gon, his mother, Ahsoka, Padme, corruption in the Republic and the Jedis broke that man, and Sidious who was his supposed friend and childhood took him and corrupted him
Thank you my space loving friend! 👍🏼
Offically the first youtube video to make me cry. The tragedy of anakin skywalker and his lineage is the greatest we will ever get
Let's let go of Disney's phony canon just like Anakin let go of his hate at the end of RotJ.
Anakin was, is and will be the Chosen One.
HFP has great content. You should react to his “the 501st” and “kenobi” videos next. Please react to them they’re so good!
Armand Vega yes! The 501st one is great
The ending made me tear up jeez. When he told his mum to stay as well it hit feelssss 😅
Shocking moment from the video game Knights of the Old Republic.
You are playing as antagonist Darth Raven.
In a cutscene he remove his helmet. It is revealed as the character you are playing as. 😱
I'm unable to express myself and truly feel emotion, I'm more like "hey this is a nice video, damn Anakin's such a good character" but no further than that
when luke said you've only forgotten that really got me 😭😭
You’re so freaking adorable. Your enthusiasm for these, without knowing I needed it, reignited my absolute love for Star Wars. Thank you.
That is the best thing anyone could say to me on this channel, I am so so happy to hear that!
Just found your channel, love your reaction, this video is freakin awesome!, I Yeah I shed a few tears.
React to Heroes Fan Productions "The Greatest Teacher Failure is"
Qui Gonn would’ve been a father to Anakin.
And Disney killed everything that I loved. The end :'v
Now you gotta watch the Kenobi one
"What does your heart tell you?"
"I wasn't strong enough to save you.. I won't fail again.."
It's said that when a murderer kill someone dear to him, he continue to feel her screams rumbling in his head. I'm sure that one of the reasons Anakin became such a cruel monster is because deep down he was hoping the screams of his victims would silence Padme's voice.
Catherine I love and enjoy all ur reaction videos and you're so Pretty and Beautiful and Awesome & keep the awesome work you do i support you 100% ☺🖤
All the feels
Thanks so much.
Anakin Promised, He Will Even Prevent People From Dying, & Saved Luke Skywalker "Just As He Promised" Powerful is The Chosen One.
Catherine: "You guys just want me to have a emotional breakdown?
Me: "That's why I'm here".
LOLOLOLOL
@@CatherineLaSalle I wanted to see you feel the same pain I did when I first watched this video 😂
I used to think that the chosen one was a tragedy, but now I realize it was a comedy.
Palpatine in Rise of Skywalker?
i love this women!!
The chosen one.. a special kid that win a game against old veterans like a badass.. a kid that had just his mother... he had friends and never was a sad kid because he loved what he had... he was always one of the strongest and smartest kids around his place and he never accepted to be controled....he wanted more...he wanted freedom. .his own choice...to achieve the power to change something he took his path and he lost anything he ever loved or dreamed of... he lost everything... but he achieved incredible knowledge and power after that...you never get power for free.. his life still had a purpose... anyone thought negativ about him because they wanted to be like him.. they don't pushed his abilitys because they we're feared of them... he was the type of guy that would have died for his love. .. he was not a bad person... he was just unlucky... and whatever happened.. at least of all his choices brought the balance back..
i’ve watched that video a million times and i think i still cried more than you did😭😭😭
a surprise to be sure but a welcome one!!
ThatGoldTaco 😊😊
PS. I love you Catherine and may the force be with you too 🖤🖤
Love is not thr sith way
The Ashoka part always gets me 😭
“She was alive I felt it!” Damn that hit me in the gut
I cry a bit each time I see one of these videos
I wish I could experience emotion like this, I love starwars with all my heart why can't I cry.
You don’t have to cry to feel emotional or sentimental about something!! Tears don’t validate your passion!
@@CatherineLaSalle thx so much : )
This is so heartbreaking... And wuhuu I am not alone with my sadness ^^
Greetings from Germany! ☝🏻✨
Thank You Cat,For Reacting To My Redemption!! Or should I refer to you as Padme..
I take it that you cried after you seen Rise of Skywalker then
me: *has an emotional breakdown*
youtube: hey we have some ads with upbeat music for you
Jedi Mind Trick: 👋🏼 you will cry
HFP knows how to cut film together, for sure! Now go watch SC38 Reimagined. That....and I'm sure your fans (as well as I) would LOVE to see you react to "The Mandalorian". No tears, just grinning from ear to ear (apologies if these have been suggested or reacted to already). As always....great reaction!
Definitely react to Kenobi on that same channel! It’s every bit as great, and it’ll pump you up for the Kenobi series that’s coming soon 😋
1:22 You have failed me for the last time Cat.
this hurts because it matters
There is no hatred more powerful than self hatred
It's 10 in the goddamn morning and I'm fighting back tears. Why is life this way
the reaction at 10:04 sums up my emotions perfectly
Qui gon: "Did you do it? What did it cost?"
Anakin force ghost: ".... Everything"
You should watch the “Kenobi” and “Before the Dark Times”
That song HFP used was from the 4th Transformers Film for those who weren’t aware. (Michael Bays Music Supervisor knows what she’s doing👍)
I was crying from the beginning 😭😭😭😭
It’s ok... I got leaky eyes too. That was an amazing homage to Darth Skywalker
U scared the shit out of me with ur scream at the end 😪😪 HFP got a new subscriber...crazy i didnt watched these videos earlier
He is so amazingly talented!!
@@CatherineLaSalle i dont really know if i should hate him or love him for those edits...theyre so...heartbreaking but at the same time so so heartwarming
A hero with no fear you should see that
I started seeing a lot of these reaction vids pop up around my feed, finally watched on. This video as well was the first I've seen of "The Chosen One" What I take from the video is, he still was the one who would bring balance. Though a different course was taken. The reason being is when Qui Gon said "You will find another way". I'm probably reading in to it too much but, I don't know. Just kinda fits, maybe. Also awesome reaction, seemed you were very much into the video as I was.
This music, this song. It sounds like something from "The Lion King".
8:54 YEET!!!
Hi my name is anna and I've been watching star wars since I was 4 years old and when I watched this I broke down in tears and hfp did a very good job . P.s I love Anakin Skywalker and I'm now 11 years old I've watched all of them and this was the best video of Darth Vaders story about him and his past this was absolutely amazing to watch
I love Anakin too!! Always have and always will!
that one gets me literally every time
me me emotional and sensitive so this breaks me everytime
Anakin is the Choosen One he is the force itself😌😌😌 the evidence is when he stop the Son and Daughter who are the embodiment of the Light and Dark from killing obi wan and ahsoka ... Anakin is the most kind hearted person in all the star wars universes
I remember the first time watching this, trying not to cry haha
This video implies two things, 1. Vader often rethinks his entire life and everything that’s led up to where he is daily, 2. Anakin remembers and still hears qui gon while he’s Vader on the ship, “you’ll find another way”, I like the idea that Vader is still remembering things qui gon taught him and is hiding his conflict from Palpatine
