BMW K1200LT Taillight LED bulb

Replacing both outer brake/running light bulbs with 1157 LED bulbs. Centre bulb stays put above the license plate. LED's have faster response time so they light up quicker than incandescent bulbs so more safety margin. Also use much less power so easier on the bike's alternator.

Ya, my wife drove behind me a few weeks ago and pretty much said the same thing. Oh well, luckily the 3rd brake light on the top box is bright. LED's do light up faster than regular bulbs. I guess it's a "wash".

Sorry. Yes, just light difference. They are about as bright but slightly more rose colour than red. Response time (turn on) is quicker though. Replacement is pretty easy. Open both saddle bags. Allen key fastener either side that holds taillight in. Remove those. Taillight pops out.

I've tried this. I was hopping my stop lights were stronger, but no. My red stop lights turned into rose, and I didn't see advantages. Sorry.
